Digital Editions

Adobe digital edition is freezing all the time while I'm trying to read a book. It won't let me access any videos in the book. I asked adobe they say they have discontinued help on this app. I'm college and this is the platform I have to use to read this book. Can anyone help?

Hey Guys, I can't add a book from Overdrive to my library on Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. I get the error message E Lic already fulfilled by another user. I tried erasing and and then reauthorizing my Digital ID. That didn't fix the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My computer crashed a month ago without me being able to release my Digital ID. I've since reinstalled Windows. Perhaps that's contributing to the problem. But I was able to set up my Digital ID again so I'm not sure what the issue is.

My library uses Adobe Digital Edition to transfer landed books on an e-reader. I tried contacting the help support but they can't help at all. Tried downloading an earlier version of ADE, not the solution. Please if someone has any idea, help!

Because I was having trouble signing in, I deleted my account and created a new account. I manage to connect to this new account but I no longer have access to my books. How can I reactivate the deleted account to access my books?

Ho notato che oltre un certo numero di pagine, ADE su win crea un pasticcio completo col mio epub fixed layout. Facendo delle prove ho notato che fino a 232 pagine tutto funziona, oltre sballa tutto. L'epub è verificato w3c e su ade e books su osx funziona tutto perfettamente. È un epub fixed layout di 400 pagine circa.

Good morning,  Could I have an activation reset on my Adobe ID account? 

My ADE 4.5.11.187303 version stopped working. I couldn't download epub ebooks. Live support was sympathetic but said Adobe was no longer supporting ADE and, additionally, he couldn't refer me to an old, stable download. Very disappointing. PRSNRS

I have downloaded an EPub, which works fine in the online reading ap and in Apple Books, however, it skips pages in the ADE program, and in my Kobo which I tranfered it to. Each time I turn the page, it skips to the beginning of the next chaper. I have deleted and re-downloaded the book, I have deleted and reinstalled ADE, and the problem continues. I have contacted Adobe support, they will not help, and direct me to the forum. I have seen many people with the same problem, but no solution.Is anyone able to help? Thanks.

Error downloading book from library to ADE: "Unable to download. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12." I wanted to re-authorize my Kobo reader, but I get a notification: Activation Server error. Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server.

I need to send a copy of my newly published eBook to the Research Evaluation Council.How can I send such an email from Digital Editions?   

I just found a post here, that ADE seems to be broken on Big Sur, but that's from December. There is also a page, which hasn't been updated since mid of January about Big Sur support also doesn't stating anything about ADE. Also Roaring Apps has no information. Meanwhile it's the last product for months keeping me away from updating to Big Sur, I would be really happy to get an information on Big Sur support. I also rated the Big Sur compatiblity page worse as I won't expect, that there are no updates since Mid of January 2021 or if it's really truth, it's a shame for Adobe. Big Sur has been announced, beta versions are available since nearly one year and Big Sur has been rolled out for about 6 months now and no update for more than 3 months... So can anyone provide me information? Especially it's a shame as if Adobe wants to promote DRM for eBooks and provide the only application which should be used therefor, that this application seems not to be maintained (updates are really rare a

After finally getting around to downloading ADE on my laptop so I can transfer ebooks to my Nook Glowlight 3 instead of reading them on my heavier iPad, I checked the digital certificate before installing the software.  Apparently the certificate expired in February of 2021. When contacting Adobe's support chat, I was informed that ADE has been discontinued!  I have been able to download ebooks since February, but I am concerned about security and what will happen to the books I have in my ADE library.  Is there another software that can  be used? Hello,I was able to download and install Adobe Digitals Editions 4.5.11.187303 on my Windows 10 PC.When I open the app, I can see my library and open my eBook.Inside the book it's neither possible to change a page by scrolling with my mouse, go to a page by entering the page number nor search for a specific phrase or chapter. It's just nothing happens.Anyone an idea? Is there a already known bug?

Hi, Im trying to download books from kobo but ADE keeps showing me a message errors were detected, copy not allowed - no permission to copy the book.Ive never had this issue before, Im baffled. Any ideas ?Mart.

I made an epu 3 from In design with various animations, about 400 pages weighing about 70 MB. On books and on ADE OSX everything works correctly, on ADE Windows there are very gross errors, the animations don't work and the page layout is skipped on several pages. I tried splitting it into smaller files and saw that these also work correctly on Windows. However, I need to create a complete file. Does anyone have an answer? 

Hi, I am reading one Book (.acsm by Wiley) on diffewrent devices (<6) while reading I make notes with the Digital Edition tools and set bookmarks. When I pick up reading on an other device the notes and bookmarks do not appear. What am I doing wrong? Each Digital Edition install on the different devices is authorized with the same Adobe ID. Looking forward to your reply. Claudia

Hi I have the following error in ADEE_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONSThe links all direct to customer services however, they are spectacularly hopeless and after spending several hours on chat to them over several days they keep sending me back to the forumDoes anyone have any solutions to this??? Below is from the Adobe Support pages, unfortunately the support team are completely unable to do anything:IssueWhen you launch Adobe Digital Editions, you are asked to authorize the product. I am so confused. Last night I downloaded -with help from Adobe tech chat- ADE Version 4.5.11.187303.But today, I am reading the following link with says ADE 4.5.2.  for Windwos.   https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/install-digital-editions-20-windows.html . Is this a newer version? And if so, what improvements were made?  Just putting it out there for the computer, savy community;s input.  Don't know where to go from here. Hi! When I installed Digital Editions I was unable to login using my AdobeID so I had to use a local authorization. I activated my two eBooks and everything was ok. But then I had to reinstall Windows and therefore lost access to my eBooks. Since then I was able to login using my AdobeID but I can't activate my eBooks because they are already in use (by the local authorization that I don't habe access to anymore). Is there any possibility to revoke the activation and reactivate the books on my AdobeID? I still have the ACSM-files for both books. Thanks,Lukas

Hi there,Here's the full situation....- I used to use an old adobe ID, to an email address I won't have anymore. - I unauthorized my computer, then uninstalled Adobe ADE. I even removed a folder from the registry, on Kobo's instructions.- I reinstalled Adobe ADE, then authorized it with the NEW adobe ID.- Since the books still wouldn't work, I contacted Kobo (several times).- Kobo reauthorized my account to work with the new adobe ID.- I was able to download about half of my books and have them work with the new adobe ID...but the other half still don't work, and are still getting the E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER error.- I discussed this with Kobo (again) and they said my account shows it should work for those books, and I should contact Adobe.- I chatted with someone on the Adobe chat, who told me how to authorize my computer (which has definitely been done, with the new ID), and then they sent me to these forums.So.... can anyone help me?  I have nearly 500 books with

Digital editions have worked fine since I installed it.  This week, I wanted to borrow some EPUB books from the library and the system is downloading them but then they don't show in My Library. Is like I never downloaded anything.  HELP!!!

I just installed ADE, was unable to authorize using my account. Was able to authorize just my computer, was able to authorize if I created a new account. The only difference was that my existing account has 2FA enabled. I disabled 2FA, and was easily able to authorize. Please fix this program so that 2FA is supported.

I would like to know if ADE gets feature improvements and a new version #  is pushed out, how do I get the newer verison?**Will ADE update automatically?**And if not, then how to I deactivate the old version and install the new version?  Today (6/9/21) I installed ADE Verison 4.5.11.187303.   First time user.And it was not recognizing my user id / password.I had tech chat successfully help and unistall and remove key registries and then reinstall ADE. **Would this be the same procedure for newer versions?I think I could do it on my own.  But what a pain.Just trying to give myself a heads up.Thanks.
