Digital Editions

When I try to upload a new book to my ADE I get an error code that I need to 'Check Activation'. I tried following the steps in older posts made in the community but the link didn't come up when I went to 'Run'. I have an older version of Adobe that I use (3.0) because the newer version isn't compatible with my e-reader anymore. Anything I can do?

ADE works just fine on my laptop pc. However, when I delete a book from ADE on my laptop, then open ADE on my iphone, A LOT of expired books show up, but I can't delete them or open them or anything, and they are blank covers. I don't know how to fix this. My new books don't show up either. I have tried re-syncing. How do I fix this.

I cannot 2 finger zoom in & out. Please add this ASAP. Windows Computers had Touch Screen since 2000. 2. Please add Read out Function on Mac and PC. Now I select on Mac. It cannot read out. All eBooks are so expensive. You cannot Read them Out. It is a waste of Money. The eBook are so good. Your Adobe Digital Edition is the Bottleneck limit all the Good Experiences.  3. Please sync faster. When I have Adobe Digital Edition eBooks Storage set to be on OneDrive Document. OneDrive syncs very fast. I click Adobe Digital Edition on another PC. It cannot Open. I need to restart. Maybe can open 1. I must also check, if your Adobe Digital Edition will auto generate a Duplicates. I had to remove the Duplicate.  I need to repeat for every single Book. So stupid. Please fi

I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions on my desktop and on my ASUS android tablet.  Worked fine for 8 months, until today, when I cannot access it on my tablet.  When I click the icon, the screen goes black.  Any suggestions on how I can access DE again.  It is version 4.5.  Thanks!

Hi,I bought and downloaded a epub book (via Fnac.com). When I open it the text does not appear. the pictures are there and all, just no text (see picture). Not great to read it...I downloaded the book via Kobo (Fnac's ereader) and it works fine.Any idea?Also, I am in Germany so ADE is in Deutsch and I cant seem to be able to change the language...Thanks!

How do I find out what version of ADE I have on my iPad?

I installed the Adobe Digital Edition app without problems and I have it authorized; I don't have problems downloading ebooks on the PC or reading them on it, but when I send them to my eReader "Tagus" I have problems because when I open an ebook the pages are empty. My eReader "Tagus Iris" supports the DRM format. I do not know what is the problem.Thank you very much.Maria Luisa.

It crashes and it doesn't start.

Hallo,schon seit einigen Jahren benutze ich einen "TEA Touch Lux 3" E-Book-Reader mit ADE. Seit dem letzten Update von ADE wird der E-Book-Reader in der Bibliothek nicht mehr angezeigt. Ich kann E-Books also auf dem Rechner lesen, kann sie aber nicht in den Reader kopieren per Drag and Drop.Was muss ich tun, damit der E-Book-Reader wird angezeigt wird? Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe Annette 

Hello! I have spent the evening trying to get my kobo clara hd to work with epubs from the library. I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions, and followed the help pages to unauthorize and reauthorize as it had been giving me an error message. I could then get the epub to ADE, and read it there. But, I could not get it to go to my reader. SO, I tried unauthorizing, but when I went to reauthorize, it told me I couldn't use that Adobe ID anymore. I tried deleting and reinstalling ADE, but it didn't make a difference. Now, my reader is not authorized with ADE, nor is my computer. How do I fix this? Thank you, ~A

Hello,I am enable to transfer books from library (epub 3) to my Kobo reader, and I was told that I should delete the version 4 of Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) and to install rather Adobe Digital Editions 3.After desinstalling version 4 and reinstalling the version 3, I cannot upload the book in ADE. The software itself opens fine; the problem is when I try to retrieve the loan from the library. It's like an other version is still running somewhere in my computer. After I desinstalled ADE 4 and installed ADE 3, when I click on "Retrieve your loan [Récupérez votre prêt]" in the email that I got from the library, it prompts a window:"The installation program has detected a new version. Do you wish to repare the old version?"If I click no, it says "The installation has stopped [Installation abandonnée]". If I click yes, then the same dialogue boxes of when I installed the software appear. I have looked all over for an answer to this, but how can I get my ePub to have text justify left instead of justify all? I want ragged edges to my paragraphs as it shows on other ePub readers. I am using CSS from InDesign and composing ePub in Sigil. Is there a code I need to place in my ePub html just for ADE so my paragraphs are left justified? Justify all just looks too boxy!Thank you,

I authorized a DRM ebook with my old ID adobe account. I'm trying to de-authorize the ID account but the only thing it de-authorizes it's the computer but not the ID.When I de-authorize the computer and try to authorize it with my new account it doesn't let me putting me the error: e_lic_already_fulfilled_by_another_user.How can I de-authorize the ID so I can authorize it with a new ID?Thanks for your help

Hi, I wanted to authorise my computer for Adobe digital editions. So I use my mailadress for Adobe and the password, but the program says I cannot use the mailadress I already used for an authorise on my computer (for Photoshop). What can I do now? I hope I don't have to create a new mailaddress...  Lisette

Why can´t I get into althe options of the Menu...?  

I'm trying to read a book I recently purchased but everyone I try to view the book an error message pops up "Error getting license.." 

Why is it that the different zoom options does not change the size of the text at all?   

It seems like if I quickly scroll through a Adobe DRM PDF file, my anti-virus program picks up a number of Stack Pivot volations.  Any ideas?

So last night I was reading a particular ebook in Adobe Digital Editions, like I have several times before witout (too much) trouble. This time however, it would open OK, but would crash everytime I tried to go beyond a certain page.So I updated the app (possibly not the newest version, but the newest that would work on my IPad iOS 9).Now everytime I try and open that particular book, the app crashes before even opening. I tried downloading the desktop version, but when I tried to copy it from my iPad and open it, I just got the error message:"error getting License. License server communication problem: E-ADEPT-DOCUMENT-TYPE_UNKNOWN:"And in the folder where the pasted version should be there's only 2KB. Anyone know how I might fix this? I hardly ever use ADE - only for this book really, and I think it's one that cannot be stored in the cloud due to the DRM. Maybe. I've tried other books in both the iPad and Windows PC apps and they worked fine, but they were not a .acsm

Hello,I've bought several books with an Adobe ID and I can't access them properly in ADE with NVDA, neither voice or braille.It ramdomly inserts spaces in text and makes it truly unpleasant and difficult to read.I even tried a regular PDF without password protection : it works perfectly in DC and horribly in ADE.Is there a way to make ADE truly compatible with this screen reader, export the PDF, create a bridge with DC ... or any workaround ?Thank you.Vivien.

With Adobe Digital Editions, I get "E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR" when trying to access PDF files, but not with EPUB files. Any ideas on what is happening and how to fix this?I've seen this question asked several times, but no answers appear on the forum.Thanks!

My ereaser worked just fine with ADE until about a week ago - I cannot open any library books I download on my ereader anymore.  I get the error message: your ereader is not authorized to open this book.  I have tried reathorizing the computer, the ereader, rebooting everything, deleting all the files associated with  the books on the computer and the reader, reinstalling the software, reinstalling lower version software, factory resetting the reader... nothing has worked.  Today, after deleting all the files, uninstalling the software, and factory resetting the reader, I reinstalled the software, reauthorized the computer, reauthorized the reader, and downloaded a brandnew book from the library... your ereader is not authorized to open this book.  Neither the kobo help, nor the adobe help could actually help.  They suggested I post here.  HELP???

Too many activations in digital editions. For the last several years the adobe support staff has fixed this problem. They apparently no longer are doing that and we are stuck with an unusable program because it is locked in the activation mode. Adobe should remove the activation requirement from the program

How can I reset my device activation counts on Digital Edtions? It says there are too many. I wanted to authorize my new iPad.
