Digital Editions

I have a Kobo that I use to get library books through their Overdrive system. Yesterday I downloaded 3 books...all downloaded but only 2 would open on my Kobo. Library suggested I do "erase device authorization" and then "reauthorize". I did that...now my laptop is authorized but not my Kobo. How do I get my Kobo to be authorized?

Tried to borrow a book, but the Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.11 simple does not work for this purpose.It's possible to load the book into the app, but from there it can neither be read nor transfered to a e-reader. Have tried to return and borrow the book.Reinstall the applicationUpdate to the latest versionAuthorize cycle both the app and reader Another issue with this program, it readds returned books, deleteing books simply cause them to be readded when the program is restarted. If you try to delete and redownload a book, then you end up with multiple copies of the same book.

My Kobo ereader has been working great, when all of a sudden, there is now an error that pops up when I try to open a book. The error says: "this document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM) and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign-in with the authorized Adobe ID and try again." I'm not sure why this popped up since I didn't do anything differently.  I looked at a lot of forums to figure out what to do and it seems like I need to deauthorize my computer while in Adobe Digital Editions by pressing "Command" + "Shift" + "D". However, I am unable to deauthorize because Adobe Digital Editions is associated with an old email address and my password also does not work.  I changed my Adobe ID password online in hopes that it would automatically apply to Adobe Digital Editions, however it has not.  Can someone please help me with the following:1. Hi there, I have an old Kobo Touch where the new version of ADE doesn't work on my MAC.  I've read on multiple forums that I need to install ADE Version 3.0 in order to me to download books to be transferred to Kobo Touch.  However, after downloading 3.0 on my MAC, the installer says, 'The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Hallo, ich habe einen Kobo E-Reader und habe bisher meine Bücher über die onleihe-app über adobe digital heruntergeladen. Hatte dies aber schon längere Zeit nicht mehr gemacht. Als ich jetzt aktuell ein Buch in den KoboReader übertragen hatte erscheint dann, wenn ich das Buch öffnen will: eReader ist nicht autorisiert das Buch zu öffnen. Ich soll ihn neu aktivieren. Ich habe dann versucht, in adobe digital meine Autorisierung zu löschen, geht aber nicht, weil 1. ich das passwort nicht mehr weiß und 2. ich auch nicht mehr in mein altes e-mail-Postfach reinkomme. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die Autorisierung auf andere Weise zu löschen? Freue mich auf eure Antworten.

Is there a way to either:a) link two Adobe IDs together or b) reset the password on an old Adobe ID even though I no longer have access to that email account?I tried Chat and they suggested asking here about the password reset.

Hi there, I am trying to read libary books on my kobo e-reader. Kobo is telling me to deactivate my computer through Adobe Digital Editions, but the password (and vendor id) that they are asking me to enter are not working. I have not been entering in a Vendor ID (I dont have one) and the password I have been entering is not ever correct despite having Adobe change it. Adobe is telling me to go through my Mac and put a dat file in the trash, but I can't figure out how to do that. Can someone help me?

Hey! I have major problems getting Adobe digital edition to work (locked) My password has not worked since the last upgrade  (4.5). When I download books from the library with "OverDrive" and try to get them into Adobe Digital Edition, this message comes up. E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12After a long chat with Adobe suport (4 different handlers) I  tried to erase all Adobe prg from my computer (following their guidance) - I got myself a new email address and identity - but when I install AdobeDigitalEdition again,  it is still locked to my old AdobeID and I can't erase the user . Is there a solution to this problem? Grateful for all the help !! Sisjön

Hej, For some reason, the highlights are missing and have been lost in certain chapters. As, I see it in my library, it shows that I read the book one month ago, because of which my highlights are missing in the new chapters I read. Do you have any idea how I can retrieve the highlights back (or the previous read version of the book), because I have been reading the book continuously? What steps should I take in the future, so that this issue doesn't happen again (So basically how do I make sure my highlights are saved all the time when i mark them)?

I have installed Adobe Digital Editions on multiple devices and authorized each with my e-mail address and an Adobe ID. Is it possible to sync the different devices through a cloud so that markups I made in books on one device appear on all the others?

Hi all,I have purchased a Tagus Gaia ebook in Spain and I'm not able to activate the Adobe ID for the DRM. It's "loading" when I enter the user and password for some minutes and then I get an error.I have the account activated in the PC and in the tablet but I can't in the ebook. I have two days to return it and if I'm not able to activate it I will return it because of this issue.Could you help me please?Thank you

I have recently installed Adobe Digital Edition (ADE) so I can hopefully download library books to my Nook.  On my first attempt eveything seemed to work ok.  I saw the book in the library, etc.  But I did not see my Nook or anything else as a device.  I did have to drag and drop the book to get it on my nook and it showed up there, but I couldn't open it without an Adobe password.  I used the Adobe user and password that was used to authorize my computer when I installed ADE, but got error messages.This morning I talked to Barnes & Noble for a while before they told me to get with Adobe.  I have tried several things including uninstalling ADE, erasing authorization and then authorizing.  My open ADE screen does not look at all like it did when I first installed it two days ago.  I don't see the Library contents or anything else on the right hand side of the screen.  All I have are four options at the top.  File, Edie, Reading, and

I am using Adobe Digital Editions on iPhone, iPad and my new Windows 10 Pro Notebook. From the service club I am a member of I got a File "UrllinkA.acsm". On my old notebook it worked on all devices. When trying to open "UrllinkA.acsm" with ADE on my new notebook I get this error message.I had the idea that I have to deactivate ADE on my old notebooks but I don't have the old notebook available anymore.I already tried to deactivate and avtivate my new notebook but that also doesn't work, it says something like "not possible, try again later" ... what to do? UPDATE: I followed the procedure given somewhere else: Stop ADE, Delete the corresponding registry key with regedit, start ADE again and authorise - WORKED!

Is there a way to re-borrowing a book without having to download the same file again? I lose all my bookmarks and therefor my progress with the book everytime I have to return it and then have to re-download it. Thanks.

I am logged in to Adobe Digital Editions on my Mac. I would like to know what my username and password are in order to re-authorize my Nook which seems to have forgotten my authorization. However, no combination of username and password that I attempt to enter works, and there is no "forgot username" or "forgot password" button that I can use. I have checked in my email history but don't see anything from Adobe... Please let me know how I can find out my username and password. I do know the "Authorized Users" account number if that would help you find my acct info. (PS Please add "forgot password"--the UX is terrible!)

After I read a book, I return it and remove it from the library. However, when I restart Adobe Digital Editions, the book is back in my library, often duplicated. I have seen a couple of old posts on this with no replies. Seems to be a fundamental bug. I'm using the app on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.4 on a MacBook Pro.

hello I am trying to download a book to the Adobe Digital Editions and i keep getting a E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR

On the pc ADE work bad, on the phone it is impossible to download the books. Instructions are useless, nobody help you. After this experience, I will never buy something from Acrobat.

I have multiple email addresses. I've been using a new Google email address more and more, and am running into issues with Adobe Digital Editions when I try to borrow eBooks from Onleihe that doesn't use myoriginal/default SBCGlobal.net email address. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READY My Google email is already listed as a secondary email in my account, but I cannot access books in Digital Editions. (For my library I used my Google email address and Onleihe must pull that info). So, I tried to deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions, even uninstalled and reinstalled it, to no avail. I keep getting that error and cannot add a secondary email in that program specifically (I assume that would be possible since it lists the old email as ‘default’). "Unable to Erase Authorization.
