Digital Editions

My Nook Glowlight will not work with ADE versions after 3, which is a 32 bit program.  My Mac now wants to upgrade to Catalina.  It will not run 32 bit programs. Although I can delay, eventually I will need a 64 bit version of ADE that also works with my old Glowlight.  ADE 5 is 64 bit, but it did not work when I installed it.  The solution, found on this forum, was to uninstall it and reinstall v.3.  That works fine.I feel like it is irresponsible to replace a functioning device because of a problem like this, which Adobe should be able to fix readily.  I need ADE to take books out from the library, and this is the main thing I do with the Nook. Is there a solution other than putting off the OS upgrade as long as possible?ThanksWalter RChapel Hill

Hi! When I try to download an ebook from the library, I click on dowload and ADE opens, but then nothing happens. The book simply does not appear in my ADE library. Do you have any suggestion that I might try?

Hi, downloaded ADE (windows 10), got a link to read a digital book. croibien.alain@gmail.com | Adobe ID (urn:uuid:ada911e5-bc16-4278-b22d-86e4e8cd3d0c)autorisation; worked in the beginning, but by trying to connect in order to read on my iphone, I got a new link. This time it worked in the beginning, but, again, autorisation was needed, and an error message and am no more authorhized. It seems that, on top of it, I already got an ID adobe and that it interfers...Any help?Thanx, Billsaxo Belgium 

Ik heb adobe digital editions geïnstalleerd om mijn computer. Hiermee kan ik ebooks van bibliotheek lenen. Dit werkt al heel lang prima. Alleen hebben we nu nog iemand die hetzelfde wil doen op en met haar account (op dezelfde computer). En dit werkt dus niet; de ebooks van bibliotheek komen wel op eReader te staan, maar als je de boeken wilt openen staat er: "Je eReader heeft geen toestemming om dit boek te openen. Dit boek is beveiligd met Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). Je dient je eReader te reautoriseren met je Adobe ID met behulp van ADE."Naar mijn idee is het probleem dat je maar met 1 account/ 1 e-mailadres kan werken met adobe digital editions? Wie heeft er een oplossing.

Hi,I am trying to authorize my laptop (with Windows 10) with my Adobe Enterprise ID. I have installed ADE 4.5, and when I select "ebook vendor Adobe ID" and fill in my login data, I get the message "Incorrect ID or password for the selected eBook vendor. Please try again".I have an Adobe Enterprise ID for my CC programs on the same computer, and it works.The problem may be that I also have an individual Adobe ID when I try that ID the authorization works.Thanks in advance.Best regards,Michael 

Hi. I have problem to open a book I have bought. When I try to download the book to the adobe digital Editions, the program can't do it. the program writes this error code: E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_OPEN_ERROR Can you please help? - Simon 

Hello, I know many had this problem in the past but the proposed solutions do not work for me. I have bought a ebook from TSO.co.uk and when I load it in ADE it keeps saying that the document is licensed for a different user account. I have 2 Adobe user accounts and none of them can read the file. Does anyone know hwo to solve this annoying problem? Thanks,Enrico 

I uninstalled Adobe Digital Editions and then reinstalled the latest version using: ADE_4.5_Installer.exeBut I cannot get it to load" any books. I get the message:"Error! I have this app for one year already with several ebooks. Never had a problem, no my books show an error. The original document file is missing./Users/gavinvianofabri/Documents/Digital Editions/Home I’m Darling-1.epub Can this be fixed? I need this for my studies. Thank you.

Habe ein eBook gekauft und auf dem PC installiert und autorisiert und ist mit adobe digital editions 4.5 auch lesbar. Nun das Problem: 1. Schritt: Die e-Book-Datei vom PC auf das Notebook in adobe digital editions 4.5 kopiert und anschließend aufgerufen. 2. Schritt: Darauf hin erschien die Aufforderung zur Autorisierung mit adobe-ID und Kennwort. Beides eingegeben (wie zuvor schon bei anderen e-Books).Ergebnis: Als Meldung erscheint: "Das Anbieterkonto, das Sie eingegeben haben, ist nicht mit dem Element verknüpft, das Sie öffnen möchten. Versuchen Sie es erneut." Das e-Book ist also auf meinem Notebook nicht zu öffnen. Mit der adobe-ID und dem zugehörigen Kennwort wurde es aber gekauft.Versucht habe ich schon Folgendes. 1. Notebook deautorisiert und neu autorisiert. Fehler bleibt. 2. Mit bluefire-reader gearbeitet, Fehler bleibt. - Gibt es eine Lösung? Bin dankbar für jede Hilfe.

I have downloaded an EPUB file which opens with Digital Editions.I am unable to copy and paste text. Copying may not be authorized for this publication.If the publisher has not approved copying, how may I confirm this before a future purchase?

Hi, I do not remember which email I used for my Digital Editions account and I need access to it TODAY! My textbook is on digital editions and I need to log in. Please let me know what you can do as soon as possible. I downloaded and purchased my e-book through Cognella but it comes up on Adobe Digital Editions. 

I want to authorize my computer that already had ADE installed. The FAQs say that I can do this after the fact by used the "authorize this computer" option in th menu, however it's grayed out! This is really annoying. I want to download a magazine I bought and be able to read it on whatever computer I need to. I want to OWN this purchase, yet there seems to be no way to do it since I originally downloaded ADE without my ID, never realizing that there would be any issue. Can someone from Adobe please help.  

ADE 4.5 workwd with W10 for some time. Suddenly quit. Trouble shooting no good. Reinstalled. Now won't even open. Under "Details" after installation all lines show green and last entry is "completed". I hit "close" on setup window and new green line appears that reads in part "delete file: c/program files (x86) adobe/adobe digital editions 4.5/migrat....."I am not very techy by the wayscreen shot attached

I'm trying to access an e-Play I purchased last year but when I login using my Adobe account, it says: "The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again."  I only have one account that I've used to purchase e-Plays so I'm confused as to why it won't let me read this play I paid for.

I am trying to read a book, I just downloaded, and I am being told the Maximum Download Limit Exceeded. How do I read my book? Do I need more storage, do I need to pay for that?

I have some epub books in tamil fonts, i can read this in Google play books but not in the ADE. (I dont have any DRM on the files.)i can read my font in title & index on the library, but contents are with marks of X on rectangle. i could read this with some other e readers as well. could some one help me on this?i have attached the snap below.-spr2330033

I have used Digtial Edition with this ereader (Letto) many times before without problem. Now I have downloaded a book and opend it in Digtial Edition and so far so good...As soon as I connect the ereader to my computer Digital Edition stops responding. I have installed the latest version, didn't work.Uninstalled, cleared the register and deleted folders under my documents and the installed again.Logged in and downloaded a book, worked fine. Connected my ereader and Digital Edition stoped working. My ereader works fine and I can access it from my computer and it has worked fine in Digital Editions before. I manged to copie the book to my ereader manualy from explorer insted.  I recently updated Windows to the latest version of Windows 10 if that has anything to do with it.Running Win 10, version 1903, OS-version 18362.418

I am so fed up with this company. No longer any way to contact support for answers to questions or solving of problems. I had no idea that if I authorized a book without using my ID (which is a choice offered when activating) that the book would forever "belong" to that computer. So even if I activate a new purchase using my ID, I can't access the first book on that computer. This is tyranny. I own the friggin' book, not Adobe. Their only goal is to control their products, except in this case, the product is a magazine I bought, nothing to do with Adobe but becomes imprisoned in their system because it has to be read on ADE.

The adobe Digital Editions Id does not match with my Kobo or my Adobe account ID.  I need to change the Digital Editions ID
