Hi Community, I need a bit of help please. I have these learder guides from HPE that I can not open anymore after I had to re-install my windows 10. I have authorized digital edtions wit my adobe ID, but i get the error attached:  Please assist... Kind reg,G

Hello, I have a fully functional Adobe ID. I also have a mac "Digital Editions app" which allows me to see and read DRM protected files (I see the list in the app). I'm now trying to authorize an app on Windows and when I enter the credentials I get an "incorrect login password for the selected ebook" error. This is obviously absurd because the credentials are correct and there is no file in the Adobe Digital Editions Windows app as it has only been installed now! Who can help me? Thank you

I have loaded ADE several times as well as ADE 2.0. It loads and opens a window. When I click on anything in the window (file, Library, etc.) the program crashes and I get an error message telling me that Windows has detected a problem and needs to close ADE. How do I resolve this. I am using Windows XP with all current updates installed.

Adobe Digital Editions immediately freezes up after I open it. Sometimes I can manage to load a book (acsm format) into it, but that's all. It doesn't fulfill and transfer to my ereader. It doesn't acknowledge the existence of my e-reader. ADE doesn't even let me close out of it. (I must use Task Manager to do that.) Possible solutions posted earlier in this forum include: 1) uninstall and reinstall ADE 2) deauthorize and reauthorize ADE 3) do each of those with each of the previous ADE versions 4) start ADE as an administrator 5) clear browser cache and all cookies, clean up hard drive, defragment, reboot. I believe I have done all of those in all possible orders and combinations. Nothing has worked. ADE is not usable on my computer and I can not use my ereader. Do you have any new potential solutions? I don't know of any way to convert acsm to epub other than ADE. Do you? Thank you. 

(Note: I'm not using an English version, so some of the menu items may have different names than what I assume they are...) In Adobe Digital Editions I was confused because when I selected a book and wanted to copy it to my ereader the "copy to computer/ereader" item under "file" didn't allow me to copy it. The ereader was greyed-out. However, in the Library overview using the right mouse button to get a pop-up, the same menu item did allow me to copy to the ereader. Why the difference? I've - finally, after a frustrating hour - found a way to do it, but why doesn't the for me intuitive way of navigating to the ebook and then selecting an action on it in the "file" menu not work?

I'm trying to help someone reauthorize Adobe Digital Editions.  The email with which she authorized her computer no longer exists.  How can she reset her information to use her new email?We tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but it remembered her old info.  She has changed the email of her Adobe account but Digital Editions is still attached to the old email which no longer exists and whose password she's forgotten.Thank you in advance!

Fehler beim Abrufen der Lizenz. Lizenzserver-Kommunikationsfehler: E_ADEPT_CORE_KEY_SCRAMBLE. Der Google Support hat mir bestätigt, dass es nicht an der Datei liegt, ich solle mich an Adobe wenden. Ich habe das gleiche am Iphone probiert. Dort bekomme ich die Meldung: Download nicht möglich. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: File does not exist.  Das Buch wurde erst neulich gekauft. Aktuelle Digital Editions App Version 4.5.12.85.Danke...

Hi All, Digital editions has stopped working on my Microsoft surface running Windows 10 Pro. When you click on the icon nothing happens.  I have tried the following with no success:- Uninstalling and reinstaling 4.5.11- Installing 3.0 - Deactivating the computer through 3.0- Renaming / moving My Digital editions folders- Turning off McAfee Any ideas on what to try next. Finding it hard to chat to someone directly at Adobe on a weekend.Thanks.   

When I download an ebook and try to open it via ADE, I receive the error message: 'E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN' - 'error retrieving the license, communication problem with license server'Anyone knows how to fix this?

Good evening, when I open the program, the program freezes, I identify myself correctly with the username and password but it keeps thinking all the time.I have tried with windows 10 and currently windows 11.I have to close the program with control + alt +sup and close it with the task manager.Can anyone tell me how to fix it, I have the latest version installed.

I'm about to lose my mind. I'm studying a fairly niche subject and my only option is to use DE. I have it installed on both my PC and iPad. The highlighting and notes function are highly unpredictable, sometimes only working on some lines/words and sometimes they don't  work at all. Sometimes when I've exited to the library/restarted the program to try to fix it there are new highlights I never made in the list of highlights when I open the book again. The issues are more frequent on my iPad so I decided to switch back to my PC just now, but the version on my PC contain none of the highlights made on my iPad (I thought the books were synced across units if they're logged into the same account?) I have no idea what to do since the regular customer support don't deal with DE. Is there something I can do about the highlighting issue or is there a way to properly transfer my highlights and notes from one unit to another?

I upgraded to the most recent verion of Sequioa on my Macbook yesterday. Now Adobe Digital Editions doesn't display all my school textbooks. It says that I have 7 but then only shows 1 of the 7. If I go the shelf of a particular class, it will show 1 book, but not all the others and not neccesarily the same book as it shows when I tell it to show all. Will there be a fix soon? I have homework due. Thanks!

Hello,I am getting this error when I use ADE to download a book from Google Play. I can't find any information on it, anywhere; and I get bupkis from Google support. As a test, I purchased a book from ebooks.com, and ADE downloaded that book without issue. Thus, I feel the problem is at Google's end - but they're not having it. If anyone can give me advice, I would appreciate it. Thanks.mp

I've just finished reading a few documents using Adobe Digital Editions, and added lots of highlighting.  I don't see any way to save my highlighted version of the document.  Will Adobe Digital Editions automatically save my highlighted version, even if I close the document and the program?  Thanks!

When I try to open the book with ADE, I get the error message "error getting license. license server communication problem e_adept_core_key_scramble". maybe someone had such an error? what did you do in that case?

I have created an EPUB for an Arabic text file. It displays fine in Kindle and other readers. But, in ADE it displays junk text. Anyone had this issue before? Thanks,Eswari K  

Hi. I have been using ADE to transfer google play books to my ereader for a while without issues. Lately an error message showed up : Licence server communication problem: E_ADEPT_CORE_KEY_SCRAMBLE.  i tried deauthorization/reauthorization, uninstall/reinstall (on my win10 pc), and even installed on a different MAC and the problem persists. Google says it is adobe issue. Any help is appreciated.

What Year is it Adobe??? In case your security team developers for Digital Editons has forgot, it's 2024!How is this a geniune issue? Are we trying to give away your large community of user's information away freely? Why do we have to deactivate our "Trusted 2FA's" in order to activate one of the only sources out there for our digital reading material? This is 100% a failure to not only the people who have stood bhind your product and paid entirly too much for your software, but it is a failure to all those whom you employee. Having a broad source of software used by millions in a state of dissarray to only accept simple easy to guess passwords for activation is absolutly disheartening and has me looking for a new option, one more trustworthy with my personal shite. I would rather look for hours in an alternative then gladly  release my info to the next POS whom is getting ready to hack your system. I am trying to move the "My Digital Editions" folder from the default location under "My Documents". When I do so, I have to add my ebooks back to the library (which is OK), but Digital Editions also then adds a "My Digital Editions" folder with a manifest.xml file back under "My Documents". Is there anyway to change the default location of this "My Digital Editions" folder?

I downloaded Adobe DIgital Editions on two computers I use to view a library book loaned from my school. On one computer, it says I have 20 days left to view book (correct). On the second computer, it says it was downloaded December 4, 2023 and is expired (not correct). I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the program on the computer with the error. I had not used the program before this. I created an Adobe account and used it to authenticate on both devices. How do I fix this?
