I am not able to transfer a borrowed book from library to Nook simple touch-Errors were detectedthe following items could not be copied to your device.A Tale of Two Subs CE-COPY-NOT-ALLOWED - No permission to copy the book.I can read the book on the PC but it will not transfer to the Nook simple touch.I followed the directions in the help guides.have tried deleting and returning and re-borrow.Only can read on PC.I am no sure if I need to load any other software for the Nook to read.According to the guides it should just transfer to the Nook.I hooked up Nook to PC opened ADE and tried to do the copy to Computer/device (and selected [Nook].Please let me know if I forgot to activate something - or missing a piece of software.regards,Carlred24baron@gmail.com

MY copy function stopped working.  What is the issue?

I purchased a book from the Google Play store yesterday. I get this error when trying to download it:Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERRORThis only affects this book. I can download others fine. I contacted Google support chat. They could not provide any help and said I should contact Adobe. What is the correct avenue to get this resolved?Colin

Using archive.org's Open Library has been getting harder and harder. Recently, the URL.link.ascm file it gives me hasn't gotten the current book, just repeated iterations of books already downloaded. Sometimes it would clear up after I'd tried a dozen times. Finally, it got where it would give me the same book, regardless. (I looked at the text of the .ascm, and it definitely was trying to point to the new book—I was not inadvertently reusing an old .ascm.) After deleting numerous copies of the same couple of books from my ADE (which seems to have really confused it, as I did not go through some particular ritual to do it), I gave up and started trying other things.I ended up uninstalling ADE and reinstalling a newer copy (4.5). I deauthorized and reauthorized it after it kept giving me an error message I can't find now. My Google search record shows I was looking for "ERROR_GETTING_LICENSE" yesterday. After reauthorizing, it began giving me E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER.Each

I purchased two books from Google Play Books yesterday and I get the following error when trying to open the provided .acsm file for both books.  How do I fix this so I can get the books?Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_INTERNALOpening the .acsm file for older purchases works.  I have tried removing HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept from registry and then reauthorizing and I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling ADE.  I still get the error for both recent purchases.

I have had my nook for years. Always taking out library books to read on it.  Last few months I keep getting error messages. While the book shows up on the Nook in my library, when I try to open it I get error messages.  Not always the same message, but today it says "Loan token not found". I have unauthorized my nook and reauthorized it, deleted the previous version of ADE and loaded the latest, rebooted everything.  Any ideas?

I am having problems transferring library books from my ADE to Nook.  I was told to remove them from the ADE library and delete the file from the computer.  I have done both, but next time I open ADE the books are back in the library.  I had been prompted when initially removing them to confirm this is what I want and I say yes. Any ideas how to get rid of these once and for all?

I purchased a book from Google Play onto my Win 10 PC.  I'd like to download the epub.  I've installed the Digital editions program, but cannot download my new book.  Error is E_LIC_LISCENCE_SIGN ERROR.  I've uninstalled, did the regedit work, rebooted, reinstalled - same error.  Can you help?

If the book has images, they are too large to be viewed. Sometimes, one can barely see that there is an image at the bottom of a page; when "grabbed" and pulled up, one can see a "ghost" image of what it is, but that is all. It does not show on the next page. I have tried using older versions of ADE in hopes that would help, but the problem is the same.ADE needs a developer's attention. It is inflexible and has so many bugs that its few features often lead to the program freezing.I wonder if some of the books from my library were originally written for Kindle as some are badly formatted and reading them is impossible.Books without images work okay. While the cover and front matter of the book are oversized and can only be partially viewed, the book content is not affected.Thank you.

HelloI am unable to authorize my adobe account because my adobe digital editions is still showing as my old email account which no longer exist. Its not even letting me authorize a new account until I deauthorize the old one. The issue is that I do not remember the password for the old account. All I want to do is authorize the new account to be able to download ebooks from the library. I have spoken to 5 agents and no one can hep. I am very frustrated- is there anyone that can help

Hi there,I got a new Notebook with Win10 Professional, I reinstalled there ADE 4.5 and wanted to download eBooks from ciando to read them with ADE.I authorised my Notebook using my email [E-mail Address Removed By Moderator] and I try to download eBook from Austria (where I'm now: there emails are .at, mine is .it: don't tell me THIS IS THE PROBLEM). Well, I start the download from ciando, ADE is popping up to start the process but... after some secondsAdobe digital Editions is telling me "Error getting license. I have downloaded ADR to my laptop and have no problem transferring a book from the library to ADR. However, when I try to transfer the book to my nook color, I get an error message, on nook, "book cannot be opened. Has been returned". I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADR a number of times, but nothing seems to work.

Last night we downloaded Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) 4.5 for Mac, downloaded some library books, and then uploaded them to our Kobo ereader.When trying to read them on the Kobo, we received an error message saying that the ereader had not been authorized, so we plugged it back in, authorized it, and then tried again. This time we received a message saying that because we had previously deauthorized the ereader, we needed to reimport the book using ADE. Although we did this multiple times, we continue to get the same error message.I tried to de-authorize the computer, but then we get the message stating that "Unable to erase authorization. Please try after some time".  (we'll ignore the terrible grammar there...) We tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE, but it automatically defaults to the AdobeID that we're trying to de-authorize...Looking at the forums, it would seems we're not the only one with these issues....

I downloaded  college textbooks through Emond and now after 3 months, it no longer appears in my adobe digital library. I see it on my computer under downloads but now the option to open with digital editions is no longer there. Help please. I have hundreds of dollars invested in textbooks that I cannot open.

I am trying to move downloaded library ebooks onto my Nook.  When I attempt to open them in ADE 4.5, I receive this error:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYResearching this error tells me that I should try to erase authorization and then re-authorize.  I've even updated my password recently to ensure I'm using the correct one.  However, when I click "erase authorization" and go through the prompts, I get this error:Unable to Erase Authorization.  Please try after some time.Steps I've tried so far - uninstalling and reinstalling ADE 4.5 (I've done this 3 times), changing my Adobe account password (I've done this once), attempting to Erase Authorization (I've done this probably 15 times over the course of two days).Can someone help?!

I recently setup an Adobe ID to be able to view DRM protected books from ProQuest.  Per ProQuest's instructions, I downloaded BlueFire Reader to my device and authorized it using my AdobeID.  Afterwards, I installed Adobe Digital Editions on my laptop and attempted to activate my laptop with the same Adobe ID.  However, I get the following message instead:"You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices.  Please try again."I tried to deauthorize my mobile device then try again, but to no avail.  I thought the whole point was to be able to do this with multiple devices?Thanks for the help.

Hi! I downloaded Digital Editions on my Mac. When I open it, Digital Editions open into my library.  However, there is no menu options. There is no option to authorize my computer.  I am unable to open books I downloaded from my library on my Mac. There is no menu on the version on Adobe Digital Editions that I downloaded.  I deleted it and rein When I try to open files I downloaded, I get the following error message: Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12

How do I authorize ADE for my mac laptop? And if i do that will i be able to use Overdrive to read loaned books from the library?

I recently accessed a University ebook site called Proquest.  I had to create an account and then in order to read the ebook, I had to download Adobe Digital Editions (version 4.5) onto my laptop.  In that process, I was never asked to create an Adobe account.  I can access the book no problem, however, reading from my laptop isn't comfortable.  As such, I decided to access the document via Proquest from my iPad.  In order to do that, I had to download an App by the name of BlueFire Reader.  In that process, it asked me to set up an Adobe Account which I did.  However, when I attempted to download the book from the site to the App on my iPad the following message appeared:This application is authorized with the following user accounts:resolvecrc@gmail.com (AdobeID).This item was originally downloaded with a different user account or Adobe ID. To continue, please add that account.I have attempted to find out through Adobe what the other user account/ID

In trying to get an eBook download, Adobe 4.5.10 gives me an error message:  E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12.  Any thoughts ??  I have tried de-installing Adobe and then re-installing, but continue to get the same message.

I have ADE installed on a laptop that I know long have access to, it's no longer operational. I was to deauthorize it on the old laptop so that I can authorise it on a new laptop so that I can use my e-reader. How do I do this?

I've been using ADE for years now but recently it wouldn't open at all.  After un/reinstalling it worked briefly.  Now every time I want to download a book I have to un/reinstall.  WTH?  Tried the chat option but that was amazingly unhelpful.  Any one else have this problem?  How did you fix it?  OH and to top it all off, my library is gone.  HELP!!
