Digital Editions

I have downloaded ADR to my laptop and have no problem transferring a book from the library to ADR. However, when I try to transfer the book to my nook color, I get an error message, on nook, "book cannot be opened. Has been returned". I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADR a number of times, but nothing seems to work.

Last night we downloaded Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) 4.5 for Mac, downloaded some library books, and then uploaded them to our Kobo ereader.When trying to read them on the Kobo, we received an error message saying that the ereader had not been authorized, so we plugged it back in, authorized it, and then tried again. This time we received a message saying that because we had previously deauthorized the ereader, we needed to reimport the book using ADE. Although we did this multiple times, we continue to get the same error message.I tried to de-authorize the computer, but then we get the message stating that "Unable to erase authorization. Please try after some time".  (we'll ignore the terrible grammar there...) We tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE, but it automatically defaults to the AdobeID that we're trying to de-authorize...Looking at the forums, it would seems we're not the only one with these issues....

Hier erscheint ständig die Meldung:  "Anmelde ID/Kennw.f.ausgew. e-book-Anbieter ist falsch. Erneut vers."Was kann das Problem sein? Für schnelle Hilfe wäre ich sehr dankbar!

I downloaded  college textbooks through Emond and now after 3 months, it no longer appears in my adobe digital library. I see it on my computer under downloads but now the option to open with digital editions is no longer there. Help please. I have hundreds of dollars invested in textbooks that I cannot open.

I am trying to move downloaded library ebooks onto my Nook.  When I attempt to open them in ADE 4.5, I receive this error:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYResearching this error tells me that I should try to erase authorization and then re-authorize.  I've even updated my password recently to ensure I'm using the correct one.  However, when I click "erase authorization" and go through the prompts, I get this error:Unable to Erase Authorization.  Please try after some time.Steps I've tried so far - uninstalling and reinstalling ADE 4.5 (I've done this 3 times), changing my Adobe account password (I've done this once), attempting to Erase Authorization (I've done this probably 15 times over the course of two days).Can someone help?!

I recently setup an Adobe ID to be able to view DRM protected books from ProQuest.  Per ProQuest's instructions, I downloaded BlueFire Reader to my device and authorized it using my AdobeID.  Afterwards, I installed Adobe Digital Editions on my laptop and attempted to activate my laptop with the same Adobe ID.  However, I get the following message instead:"You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices.  Please try again."I tried to deauthorize my mobile device then try again, but to no avail.  I thought the whole point was to be able to do this with multiple devices?Thanks for the help.

Hi! I downloaded Digital Editions on my Mac. When I open it, Digital Editions open into my library.  However, there is no menu options. There is no option to authorize my computer.  I am unable to open books I downloaded from my library on my Mac. There is no menu on the version on Adobe Digital Editions that I downloaded.  I deleted it and rein When I try to open files I downloaded, I get the following error message: Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12

How do I authorize ADE for my mac laptop? And if i do that will i be able to use Overdrive to read loaned books from the library?

I recently accessed a University ebook site called Proquest.  I had to create an account and then in order to read the ebook, I had to download Adobe Digital Editions (version 4.5) onto my laptop.  In that process, I was never asked to create an Adobe account.  I can access the book no problem, however, reading from my laptop isn't comfortable.  As such, I decided to access the document via Proquest from my iPad.  In order to do that, I had to download an App by the name of BlueFire Reader.  In that process, it asked me to set up an Adobe Account which I did.  However, when I attempted to download the book from the site to the App on my iPad the following message appeared:This application is authorized with the following user accounts:resolvecrc@gmail.com (AdobeID).This item was originally downloaded with a different user account or Adobe ID. To continue, please add that account.I have attempted to find out through Adobe what the other user account/ID

In trying to get an eBook download, Adobe 4.5.10 gives me an error message:  E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12.  Any thoughts ??  I have tried de-installing Adobe and then re-installing, but continue to get the same message.

I have ADE installed on a laptop that I know long have access to, it's no longer operational. I was to deauthorize it on the old laptop so that I can authorise it on a new laptop so that I can use my e-reader. How do I do this?

I've been using ADE for years now but recently it wouldn't open at all.  After un/reinstalling it worked briefly.  Now every time I want to download a book I have to un/reinstall.  WTH?  Tried the chat option but that was amazingly unhelpful.  Any one else have this problem?  How did you fix it?  OH and to top it all off, my library is gone.  HELP!!

I have been using ADE for some time. I recently downloaded an EPUB file, and commenced reading it.Next day when I tried to open ADE (double clicked on icon), it only opened to a blank page, with "File, Edit, Reading & Help" in the menu bar.However, the downloaded book was not there, and when attempting to "Add to Library", the Fulfilling" dialog box would open, but no book appeared.

According to the information from a chat agent, there is no subscription on my account. I'm not sure what this means. I have downloaded ADE on my computer, set up the computer with authorization, connected my kobo as an authorized device, in my kobo settings it shows I am logged in to my ADE account. I'm downloaded the book and opened it with ADE, dragged and dropped it into my Kobo reader, synced my Kobo reader. It is showing up as a book but I consistently get an error when trying to open, telling me the document is not authorized for use with my Adobe ID.

Using Adobe Digital Edition,using a company laptop, the administrato have just authorized the computer using the admin user.Now I'd like to use Adobe Digital Edition to read an Adobe DRM protected document but with my normal user (non windows admin user) the computer is shown as not authorized.Would you kindly help me in obtaining the authorization of the computer?Also with my windows user I cannot see the DRM protected file which is now visible on the admin user.Would you kindly help me in obtaining access to the DRM protected document with my non-admin user ?Before to proceed in the authorization and in the purchase of the DRM protected document, the Adobe assistance confirmed that once the Adobe Digital Edition is authorized then any user on the same machine could access the DRM protected document.Unfortunately there is something wrong and I'd need your help.I hope to have provided all information and please let me konw if you require any further information or clarifications,Thanks

Bonjour, impossible d'accorder une autorisation à ma liseuse avec mon ID car j'ai atteint le limite maximale d'autorisations. il faut contacter le support technique pour réinitialiser mais je ne trouve pas de n° de téléphone ! et comment savoir quels sont les appareils connectés (il me semble n'en n'avoir que 3) ou comment réinitialiser moi même ? merci. Currently, the eBooks I'm borrowing keep being sorted into the "Purchased" bookshelf instead of the "Borrowed" bookshelf and because of that the right click return book optioned is grayed out. Any advice as to what might be causing it and how to fix it?

hello everyonecan you help me with something about epub export? i have an epub fixed layout and i want to have a link to share this, but i dont want that to be on adobe cloud (publish online), is there a way? plus when i export for HTML all is deformed and i dont know how to fix it. my fixed layout epub is working fine, all buttons, slide show etc. i just wanted to have a link outside adobe cloud.thank you!!!!!

Mais on ne me répond pas...  Que dois-je faire pour faire réinitialiser mes activations ?

A downloaded ebook OK to read on my lap top.In my e-reader ("Letto") it is registered, but does not open up for reading.Instead it informs that "a unit authorization is required to read adobe DRM publications.a box marked "OK" ends the message. Clicking OK takes me back to the library of the reader.Authorization of my lap top, where I download, has been done. How to authorize a reader for adobe DRM?

ADE has downloaded the book from my library but I am unable to authorise my Kobo ereader to download it. The authorisation part is grey and not a choice.  I only have deorthorise option.

Hello, I've recently purchased and eBook from a South African shop called Take a Lot. They made me download Adobe Digital Editions in order to read it. I did successfully. Then uploaded the .acsm file of the book. At the beginning everything was fine but lately it is painfully slow. Something is wrong. Scrolling down a paragraph takes forever. I contacted Take a Lot but there is no reply yet. I went to the Apple store (I use a MacBook Air with 10.14.3 Mojave OS) but they said they don't know Digital Editions and couldn't help. Please advise. Thanks.
