Digital Editions

I bought an e-book a week ago and installed digital editions ver.3 to read it. It was working fine but then suddenly stopped yesterday. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, turning my PC on and off and even installing an older version (it worked but wouldn't let me read my book) but nothing seems to be working. The program won't open; it says that digital editions has stopped working and then closes without telling me anymore. I'm getting pretty fed up with this and would like some help if any is available... My computer uses Windows 8 and I want to state again IT WAS WORKING FINE UNTIL YESTERDAY, the stopped

I just downloaded digital Editions because Temple Univ Press had me download it to read their ebooks.  I have everything downloaded.  To read a book I have to use a pull down menu to advance a page or to go back.  This may have been okay back in the 80's, but not today.  Every other reader I use now you can click at the edge of a page or swipe the page to turn pages.  Am I missing something here?  I can't imagine even Adobe being this primitive.

Mais à chauqe fois que je clique dessus, il ne se passe rien. Normalement, il devrait y avoir une fenêtre qui apparaît. Est-ce que quelqu'un peut m'aider? Merci!

Ik kan de computerautorisatie niet verwijderen, Ik heb al ADE verwijderd en opnieuw geïnstalleerd . Hij heeft dan al een autorisatie aangemaakt, op mijn ID maar ik kan die niet verwijderen.. Hello.  I am trying to copy and paste information from my ebook and it will allow me to do it sometimes but not all the time.  What can I do?

Since migrating to a computer running Windows 10 Pro, I cannot open any valid EPUB3 file with a toc nav element any more.If I remove epub:type="toc" from the nav, or in some cases if I remove the ol from the nav, I can open the EPUB. It will use the NCX instead and probably also use the EPUB2 renderer.I’m using ADE 4.5.126523. The effect I see is that ADE won’t display anything, will consume much CPU, and will never stop.I uninstalled and reinstalled ADE, to no avail.Has anybody else experienced the same thing? I have a nook simple touch w/glow light.  when I download the new adobe digital editions 4.5, it doesn't work.  So I am searching for a download of adobe digital editions 3.0 and I can't seem to find the right thing on the computer.  Sometimes it sends me to Acrobat Reader - is this the same thing?  Will it work for ebooks?  Or I find a site to download and they are selling it or trying to put other things into my computer.  Been trying to deal with this problem for 3 days now (1st problem was I had no idea version 4.5 and the nook touch weren't compatible) - why is the download for the 4.5 so easy yet the 3.0 so difficult to find? thanks Debra

Just wonder if anyone knows how to get a hold of Adobe customer service reps for activation resets of Adobe Digital Editions.  I have been trying to contact Adobe customer service reps for the last 2 weeks to have this resolved.  I have followed instructions on Adobe website which directed me to the forum, responded to post with the same topic, sent message to the Adobe staff that helped the people in that threads.  No response still.If there is any customer service rep reading this message, please assist me with this.  Thanks in advance.

I keep getting this error. I've de-authorised and authorised again. Uninstalled and reinstalled the ADE software and still get this error. I don't know if it's an issue with my profile, ADE, or the vendor's ebook. Adobe's live chat help agent told me to post my issue here. Angela Brandenburger0774576767

Hallo,ich habe mir heute die letzte Version der Adobe digital editions runtergeladen. Als ebook-Reader verwende ich einen Sony. Leider wird er mir nicht als Gerät angezeigt. Somit kann ich mir ausgeliehene Bücher nicht auf den Reader spielen. Sowohl der Reader als auch die ADE sind autorisiert.Habt Ihr eine Idee?Herlzichen Dank!bgWolfgang

Bonjour,J'utilise depuis quelques années le programme de Digital Edition pour gérer les fichiers epub téléchargés depuis des sites pro de services de presses numériques. Or, depuis près de 1 mois, le logiciel, envoie un message d'errer et ne peut plus télécharger le fichier. J'ai fait la mise à jour de Digital edition et depuis, il m'est impossible de télécharger de nouveau des fichiers epub. J'ai désinstallé et téléchargé le programme plusieurs fois mais j'ai un message d'erreur qui s'affiche "check activation" à chaque tentative de téléchargement d'un nouveau fichier epub. De plus, je n'arrive pas à retirer l'autorisation du logiciel, le mot de passe n'est pas reconnu.Je travaille sous Windows 10 et j'ai télechargé la dernière version de Digital edition. Hi there!I'm using Digital edition since a few year now for downloading ebooks and epubs for work. It was working quite well, but since april 2018, it's impossible to download a book. It give's the message "Error! Check activation". I've been uninstalling and reinstall the program a few times and nothing happen. I've even download the 3.1 version instead of the 4.5.8 version as user suggest in a older message on this forum. I can't remove the autorisation request from my computer. I'm on windows 10 home.Is anyone have a solution? Thanks for you help!

Ich habe in die Bücher auf meinem E-Reader (Kobo) diverse Markierungen gesetzt und Notizen geschrieben, welche ich nun gerne in ADE integrieren würde, um sie noch einmal durchzugehen. Was muss ich dafür tun?

HiI have created very simple ePub documents in Indesign.When I export them as ePub version 3 they print perfectly from ADE on a Mac but print as blank pages or spool to postscript indefinitely from ADE in Windows.When exported in the older version 2.01 they work and print fine on both Mac and Windows.So my question is: why is ePub version 3 an option from Indesign when it isn't fully supported in ADE on the Windows platform?And is there a solution/workaround other than reverting to version 2.01?Thanks

I previously bought and downloaded a Ebook that was one one of my computers and now I will be using another computer and want to use my Ebook but I can't find it under the bookshelf or even under my account? Where could it be?Thanks

Just installed Adobe Digital Editions for the first time on my Win 7 PC.When trying to open the program I get an error message as submitted, and then it terminates.A google search hinted that it was a conflict with the .net Framework 4.7.x, but rolling back has not solved it.I can't access my ebooks at all now =\

Recently, Windows tried to do the big spring creators update, and in process killed my system. I had to reinstall windows and all my software, including Digital Editions. I also upgraded my hdd to ssd at the same time. From that time, Digital editions is not working, no matter what I do. I tried reinstalling, uninstalling with geek uninstaller in order to delete reg entries, rebooting.... It just installs, then flashes like it is going to open, and then nothing happens. Help, please, it is really important for me to have it running. Thank you.

Vervelend om te moeten vernemen dat het nog steeds niet werkt. Zoals u uw situatie omschrijft lijkt u alles op de juiste manier geïnstalleerd te hebben. Zou u eens kunnen proberen om de applicatie Adobe Digital Editions te verwijderen en opnieuw te installeren? Mocht dat niet werken wil ik u adviseren om een powerwash uit te voeren. Hiermee wordt uw hele toestel opnieuw geïnstalleerd en sluit u elk softwarematig probleem uit. I have got a sincere problem with Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.7, since April 2018 (before it worked perfect!! ) When I try to open a book, it pops up: "there are errors found in the item" - but this comes up with every e-book I try to open in the 4.5.7. reader!. So I can not open my books any more  (which I bought, quite expensive). Does anyone have a solution? I am desperate. Need the books for a thesis. Thank you in advance!

If i go to help, and try to click on "authorize this computer," the selection is greyed out so that I cannot click on it.

For months I have been borrowing and downloading library books to my computer and from there onto my Kobo using Adobe Digital Editions. Today, my ereader device (Kobo) does not show up on ADE and therefore I cannot drag and drop my borrowed book to my Kobo. Can anyone tell me why and how to fix it? I did update my iPod touch IOS system and lost many things on my iPod, but I didn't think this would affect my ADE. Thank you.
