Digital Editions

I am trying to do a mass install of ADE at my school with PDQ deploy. I am running this with a powershell script and it successfully does this if, and only if, the user is logged in to the computer. I will paste my script below. I have used PDQ to install software across multiple machines before without an issue. This is leading me to think that maybe I am missing something with ADE that is preventing it from working. Buongiorno, ho acquistato tempo fa questo volume e ne ho preso visione più volte, l'ultima questa mattina alle 9:57 come si vede nello screenshot, e andava tutto a posto. Chiuso l'applicazione correttamente, al computer non è successo assolutamente niente. A mezzogiorno provo a riaprirlo e mi ritrovo con questo messaggio: errore di autorizzazione sconosciuto. Non posso aprire il file nè capire di che tipo di errore si tratta, quindi non posso nemmeno risolverlo. Ho provato a fare "cancella autorizzazione" ma mi dice che è impossibile. Ho assoluta necessità di aprire questo file!! Ringrazio tantissimo chiunque riesca a darmi una soluzione!

I get wacky page numbering when reading an EPUB file with Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.8 on Mac OSX High Sierra. ADE skips one or more page numbers when I turn the pages, although the text is linked perfectly fine from page to page.Bug?

I've been trying to load some library books onto my kobo, and while I can open them in ADE and can add them onto the ereader while it is plugged into the computer, when I open the ereader after unplugging it, they do not appear in my books. I've tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing both ADE and my kobo, and redownloading the books, and turning it off and on again, but it still won't work. I redownloaded ADE and made sure mine is up to date, and it's still not working. I tried returning the books and borrowing them again after deleting the files and removing them from ADE, but when I opened the program, they still appeared to be in my library. When I click on the files that shouldn't be there, they give me an error message saying they're already returned, but no matter how many times I delete them, whenever I open the program there are two identical, useless thumbnails of books I returned and removed. What can I do to fix this?

I purchased an e-book which I had to use Adobe Digital editions, was able to open the book, then was told the certificate was not valid, then go another e-book and tried to open it but it will not open

I see lots of questions and no answers. I am beyond frustration trying to get a functioning install of ADE on a new WIN10 system. I have tried everything I can find online with searching the various error messages.I have uninstalled, edited the ADE and ADEPT folders out of the registry, restarted, clean download of the installer, reinstalled; my adobe ID is valid... why is there no support on this? My local librarian is trying valliantly to help.All I want to do is get a book from OVERDRIVE to my old Nook.Anyone?thanks.I

Hello,I have bought a book online, then downloaded it on my computer, but I chose to continue without an ID (I didn't know anything about the digital editions yet). After I downloaded the book I knew that it can't be downloaded on another computer. Originally the book is not for me. Is there any way I can add this book to an ID?Thank you.

One of my computers which was authorized for ADE is no longer shown as authorised. The many books that had DRM and opened with no problems now will obviously not open. As I have a couple of computers that are still authorized and have all those books on them I actually do not have a problem.My question is does anyone have any ideas about how that could have happened?Could it have been done deliberately by the Adobe server, my understanding was that once authorized it is never revoked and even people with lost and stolen computers could never get it removed. Over the many years I have been a user with computers going out of date or breaking I probably have ended up exceeding device limits but my understanding was that if a device remained unused for a certain period the server took this into account, certainly seemed to be the case with me but physical removal of authorization? Never heard of it!Any other theories like perhaps a Windows update or similar?

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.8  Downloads as 4.5.7. I can't seem to get the new file, and there is no update mechanism in 4.5.7

I cannot get my books to open in Digital Editions. I have tried to unregister the account and re register it but it will not let me unregister. I tried changing my password but it still will not let me access it. Please help.

I have been having issues with my Kobo and ADE off and on (books not opening on kobo saying I have to check my adobe ID). I rectified the issue after calling Kobo and just last night the problem started occurring again. I did everything Kobo told me to do last time and still no luck. I tried uninstalling ADE and reinstalling. Now I can't authorize my Adobe ID. Whenever I try, the whole program shuts down. This is beyond frustrating. Please help!

I need to use Adobe Digital Editions to view some ARCs from NetGalley. I need to authorise my computer, but when I click the menu entry to do this absolutely nothing happens. I can't even read the "Starting With..." document that came with the program.

Hi folks. I am on a Macbook Pro running Yosemite OS version 10.10.5.I cannot uninstall Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 from my Mac. Things I have tried that do not work:- dragging the application (with all associated folders) into the trash and emptying the trash- pressing the "eject" button on ADE in the finder, then dragging application into trash and emptying trash- downloading and running CC cleaner- searching for all related files on computer and deleting- re-downloading Adobe Digital Editions 4.5, deleting the application, and emptying the trash- force quitting and re-launching Finder- hiding ADE from Finder sidebar- ejecting ADE (it just comes back)Although the application is presumably "deleted," it continues to show up like this in EVERY SINGLE FILE FOLDER on my computer.The only remaining trace of this program on my computer exists here, but it refuses to allow me to delete it:When I click to open Digital Editions 4.5 Installer.pkg, it simply makes me reinstall again. Hi,I have access to my ebooks on old laptop but when want to read them on the new one it prompts me for Adobe ID and password. I cannot remember my credentials and email address I think I would use is not associated with the account. Is there a way I can check what is my Adobe ID so I can use it on new machine?thanksMaciej

In response to my query "How do I authorize a device"  I received the following instructions.  "Make sure that this Adobe ID is the same ID that was used to purchase your eBooks.  Also, if you are syncing an eReader device to Digital Editions, make sure that it's the same Adobe ID."I bought the book I'm trying to read on my Nook Simple Touch from CBD, not from Adobe, so no "Adobe ID" was involved in the purchase.  And how do I authorize my Nook to accept content from Adobe Digital Editions?  The Nook shows up in my ADE library, and when I drag and drop a book onto it, the book shows up on the Nook.  But I get an error message "User not activated" from the Nook.  I've already rebooted the Nook, deleted and restored the Digital Edition folder from the Nook and re-sideloaded the title from ADE, had reauthorized and re-authorized ADE, and rebooted the computer.  Still getting the same error message.MacBook Pro, OSX 10.9.5, ADE 4.0 (downloaded today),

Digital Editions 4.0 Authorization problems.I get to 'Authorizing your Computer. Hi, can someone help me please.I exported an InDesign file to fixed layout ePub. The problem is that the buttons that are programmed to change the object states do not work. On the page there is another object states that does work. I tried cutting and pasting in a new document and it worked. The truth is that I can not understand what is happening and the dead line is approaching.This is a screenshot of the main InDesign file of 241pages. In this image only work the buttons that chance the pictures. The problem is in the bottons that must change texts object states.I cut and pasted the content of the page into a new one-page document and wonderfully here it worked.Where do I have to look?ThanksEduardo Lagrèze

I have replaced an old Kobo Glo Ereader with a new unit and I cannot get Adobe Digital Editions to authorize the new Kobo unit.ADE recognizes my computer, but how do I get the new Kobo Ereader authorized?                               very puzzled

As of April 10 and 11, the Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.8 download link is still downloading 4.5.7.  Why?
