I’ve been trying to view my school textbook on my iPad and it wont open. So I uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, and same thing. So I deleted the book, and tried to reinstall it, and I have to reactivate the app. Wouldn’t be a problem if it would work! I type in my username and password and the dial just spins for hours. So Ive tried retstarting my iPda, I’ve tried it with and without wi-fi.. Nothing seems to work. Then, I saw on a previous forum to change the date to earlier than today, I did that, and can now view the “get started” on adobe, but still cant activate the app to download the textbook I need.. I keep getting an error message that reads, “Digital Editions encountered an error while activating”. And thats it. I need this book for my school notes and to study!! Please help!

How can I report to Adobe a broken link on their website?

all my library books can not be accessed or read...nor can I download newly borrowed books from library...each book is marked with a cloud and when click for item info it reads "unknown permission error" "!"....my computer is authorized....worked yesterday, not today...what's going on...does anyone monitor this site?????

I have just loaded the so called update for ADE and I get an error on all my digital editions ... I am also unable to uninstall - what is going wrong at Adobe?

Reading other discussions, I believe I encountered a common error today.I downloaded for the first time ADE and I can do nothing. Impossibile to autorize the software (the authorization window simply doesn't appear) neither on the pc or on the mobile.Is an issue that Adobe is going to fix?Thanks

Ich kann das Program nicht autorisieren und die Datei, die auf der ersten Seite angeklick werden kann zwecks Hilfe für den ANfang, geht gleich auf Error.DAnn wollte ich die Datei löschen - das geht aber nicht, da der Computer immer behauptet, die Datei sei noch offen, obwohl alles geschlossen ist (auch laut Jobliste). I have downloaded Adobe Digital Editions, but get this error message..."Digital Editions 4.5 Installer.pkg" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers. "Digital Editions 4.5 Installer.pkg" is on the disk image "ADE 4.5 Installer.dmg".  Safari downloaded this disk image today at 9:27 p.m. from www.adobe.comI am lost.. trying to set up my Kobo so that I can get books from my library.  The instructions say to click Help at the top of the screen to Authorize Computer.  There is no "HELP"   I have admin rights... do I have to change preferences to allow other developers to install?Help...

I'm developing an ePub 3 textbook with fixed page layout in portrait mode (this is necessary because the many figures in the book have to be aligned with specific text). ADE displays the textbook perfectly on my MacBook Pro. When I open the textbook in ADE, initially it functions well and I'm able to advance through the pages continuously using either the arrow keys on my keyboard or the arrow icons on the ADE window. However, if I use a page link in the text, the link works, but the advance by keyboard arrows or icon arrows stops functioning. I can get it to allow me to advance one page by clicking on the displayed page, but it will not advance continuously as it did when the book initially opened. The only way I can fix the problem is to close and reopen the book. Then the advance works normally until I use a link again which results in the same problem. The textbook was developed using Jutoh on a Mac. Any ideas on how to correct this problem are welcome.

I'm using adobe digital editions and the zoom function is grayed out so what do I do to fix this.

I am able to download & view books purchased on my laptop.  I have previously (as recent as last month) transferred these books to my ipad and read them. This month when I transfer them to my ipad (also tried my iphone as ipad only a couple months old) and it shows them listed but greyed out with author unknown.  The device is authorized, and as said transferred from same company last month no issues and for many months prior to another ipad.The company has redone their whole website (had a few glitches last two months) but that was only to the laptop and the company told me a work around which worked fine.  Transferring to the ipad never an issue.I can't see it being a website issue as it downloads to my laptop fine.  Seems more a sync issue or something, but I have no idea what to do.  Maybe I am wrong and it is website, but it seems odd to me that it downloads to laptop fine and ipad is definitely authorized.Any advice is appreciated.

Hi,I had ADE on my computer and worked fine.Accidently removed an ACSM file for an e-book and ADE would not read the file. Reinstalled the ACSM file and still the book errored on ADETried to deauthorise but it would not recognise my log in details so I followed the regedit process and then uninstalled ADE.I have reinstalled ADE and now when I click "Authorise" nothing happens.I have tried on two other computers (that never had ADE on them) and I get the same response (or lack of). ALl running W10 Pro (fully updated)SO I now have ADE but cannot use it or authorise it.Any help appreciated.

If I click on "autorize my computer" the screen disappears immediately. I have tried reinstall digital editions and also restart my computer.Is there anybody that can help me?

So the e-book for my college textbook required digital editions to be read (i only have an ipad pro) and now the program has complete crashed on it. I will not let me open any files on it and when I tried to reinstall it, it just sits there in the login screen “loading”. It is exam weeks and I would loooooooooooove access to my texts books. So ummmmmm..... what the duck adobe? Is there a better or different drm program I could use?

Hey guys,ADE worked perfectly well on both my phone and laptop until recentlz.Four days ago, my laptop broke and I had to replace the motherboard. No drama, I still was able to read my ebooks on my phone. Now that my laptop is back from repair, I tried to open ADE and read my ebook on the laptop, but that didn't work. Additionally, I cannot read them on my phone now either.I cannot delete the authorization ( the box is highlighted in grey). Also, and this is funny, I cannot click on authorize. Well, I can, it is not highlighted in grey, but if I click it nothing is happening. So basically I can't do anything.My Adobe ID is all fine, I already de- and reinstalled ADE, I just don't know what to do.I would really appreciate your help!bestTheo

Es kam die Meldung "Keine Berechtigung zum Kopieren des Buches".Nun hatte ich an meinem Rechner wieder Internetzugriff und wollte dort die Bücher downloaden und sie auf den Tolino überspielen. Da erhielt ich schon beim Download die Fehlermeldung "E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER". Eigentlich dachte ich, dass ich die E-Books auf allen einen Geräten bearbeiten kann.Kann mir jemand sagen, wie ich an meine Bücher komme?LG Keri

Dear all,about 10 days ago I purchased two new ebooks. When I wanted to download the ebooks AED started automatically and gave me a note to update to ADE 4.5.7 (up to then I used ADE 4.5.6). I updated to ADE 4.5.7.After this I once again started the download of one of these ebooks. ADE 4.5.7 opened a window with the covers of ym former books. But except for a rotating circle nothing else happened - not even an error message will be displayed.Whatever I tried - nothing helped:- waiting for hours- cancelling ADE and open again- kill all Adobe related processes with Task Manager and start ADE again- reboot of PC- deinstallation and re-installation of ADE- I even contacted the store: They cancelled the order so I could re-purchase and download again - but still the same Amazingly the following things work:- I can read the new ebooks in the PC with TWINUI or webreader.mytolino.com- I can save the *.ebub files on my computer, however since no *.annot-files (or any other necessary files) are

HiAdobe digital editions wont dowload on my ipad first generation with ios 5.1.1 . I have tried to download it both on my computer and sync it to my ipad and directly onto my ipad from the app store but nothing seems to work. I have found a forum where they discuss some answers but it doesnt work for me.
