Immensely frustrating waste of time: ADE 4.5.7 (32-bit) was working perfectly yesterday but won't load today. I had to do a forced shutdown last night, but no other programs are affected.When I try to open ADE, Windows' Task Manager shows it running in a background process but nothing of ADE appears on the screen. I've rebooted and re-installed (from a freshly downloaded installer). No success.The forums show lots of other similar issues but no consistent solution. One person said the problem just went away by itself!

Dear AdobeI did go into page 1 in your internet domain.I did scroll to the bottom of that page.I did choose Products.I did choose Desktop together with Photography.I did see with my eyeballs the word Lightroom 6.There is no link on that product to see what that product is ! .I did enter into the search box at the Adobe web site the words Lightroom 6 , what is the Product ! . Besides a 3 to 6 mere wordsI did open another tab in the browser that I am using.I did type into a search engine the words Adobe Lightroom 6.Is this what it actually takes to shop for and to receive actual real information on Adobe products , second hand information.Where ? , is the actual , real factual information from the Product Manufacturer For Adobe Products.What , and do please allow me to actualy know , what ? Is the actual procedure to acquire real actual information about Adobe Products that are not second hand information.Why ! does a person need to go through such malarkey with any product in the comput

I live in a jurisdiction where I can not legally get a new computer with Windows legally installed on it. The only windows machines I have access to possibly acquire are recycled government machines that have XP on them in a language I do not understand. Even if I attempt to legally purchase windows from Microsoft's website, MS knows what country I'm in and refuses to sell me windows in English. I can not fly to the United States just to buy a computer with Windows in English just to install Adobe Digital Editions and get access to the ebooks I legally purchased.  I have to use Linux or no computer at all. I have attempted to use ADE under wine but it seems Adobe has done everything they can to intentionally break the program and prevent it from working.  Requiring ADE is the equivalent burning books and denying people the ability to read the items they have paid their hard earned money for. I just got a new computer, and am trying to manage the e-books I have checked out from my public library. I authorized my computer through ADE, but when I right-click and choose the Return Borrowed Item option,l I get an error message saying that I need to authorize my computer first. I am beyond frustrated -- I have erased and re-done the authorization, uninstalled and re-installed ADE, rebooted... nothing fixes it.

CAN NOT GET THIS TO WORK, I HAVE DELETED AND DOWNLOADED A NUMBER OF TIMES, BUT STILL GET ERROR "CHECK ACTIVATION".SENT TO ADOBE AND THEIR ANSWER WAS THEY DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PRODUCT ANYMORE.  DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION OR IS THERE ANOTHER PRODUCT I CAN USE TO DOWNLOAD EBOOKS FROM MY LOCAL LIBRARY

I installed ADE 2 weeks ago it worked great then yesterday I would not open after several trysI uninstalled it, used cc cleaner to clean up all registry items related to ADE. I reinstalled 4 times and still willnot load once installed.  Using WIN 10, Avast Internet Security, and spybot.  So has anyone had this trouble and did you resolve it and get the damn thing working?

I was able to copy and paste the text from my eBook, but now it's not working. Any suggestions?

In search of the older version 4.5.6 of Adobe Digital Editions, but it cannot be found. Is it still somewhere out there?Why do I want to get it?The AD 4.5.7 version just causes troubles. It crashes almost every time when I work with it: downloading an e-book, deleting an e-book, copying an e-book to my e-book reader, or just when I stare on the monitor.Also, it looses the authentication every now and then. I lent an e-book from my library, want to download it. After the usual crash I copy the e-book to the reader. And it cannot be opened, because I've no right to do it. So I delete the e-book, restart the computer after the ADE crash, delete the authentication, restart the computer after the second crash, delete the authentication once again, re-authenticate again, download the e-book once again. Sometimes it works. So I add another e-book. All is well. At last, this is what I hope.After a few days the authentication is gone, ADE crashes again and I have to delete, restart, and re-auth

I have downloaded Adobe Digital Editions v2.0.  I have my computer authorized.  Whenever I try to download a book from the local library, it states   "Error! Check Activation."  I contacted customer support, they suggested that I remove the program and then reinstall, which I did....Same error.  I can not seem to find anything on the website relating to this issue.

the problem occurs when after a book is opened(only in some cases) and I highlight a word or words and right click my mouse to copy the word or words and click on copy, adobe digital edition stops working. any one know what's going on?

I have downloaded a file but cannot open it in adobe digital reader.  I get a spinning noise from computer and then it locks up.  When I exit the application a message says adobe digital reader is "not responding".  What needs to be done so I can open the downloaded document?

Every time I try to open an ebook in ADE I am asked to authorize my computer. when I type in my Adobe ID and password it tells me this is not the right ID for this book. Can anybody help?

HiI have successfully downloaded Editions on to my mac however when I try to authorise my computer it shows the error E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIREDAny help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks

ADE did an update to version 4.57.179634 and now I cannot download books from Library2Go.  I get "connection error detected, could not connect to the fulfillment center, check internet connection"  It worked just fine before the update.  I AM connected to the internet.  I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling ADE and deregistering and registering my computer.  I am at a loss.

Hi,There is no issue with my internet. I have tried all solutions I have found on the internet. Including updating and restarting my computer. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I have a ebook for university on there I can't access. I need this for tomorrow and no one has been able to help me. I've been directed here by Adobe chat. Could someone please help me?Ryan

Hello. I am hoping someone can help me out. I am trying to open an eBook from ISACA as I prepare for an exam. Everytime I open the eBook, my ADE will just freeze up and shows it is not responding anymore. I was able to authorize my ADE and also un/reinstalled for a couple of times already.anyone else experienced this issue before?

I am using the same username for my PC and mobile, but on mobile, the app is not pulling the book I had purchased from Pearson.

Using Digital Editions,  during printing, the page is cut off on the left side (of the page). Even when I tried to scale what is sent to the printer, it still cut-off.  It seems when the reader sends the file to the printer, it cuts off on the left.
