Digital Editions

Hello, I have just installed ADE and have borrowed my first book. I have downloaded in ACSM format and when I tried to open it through ADE only the title and subtitle were readable. The rest content is blurred and totally unreadable. Do you have to propose any solution? Thank you!

When trying to activate my computer it keeps saying that the Server encountered an error.

Hi,I'm on macOS High Sierra v. 10.13.2. Since the update to ADE 4.5.7 (4.5.7.179634), all the images have disappeared in some PDF with DRM, and now appears instead a kind of black and white blizzard of snow, like parasite dots on a TV screen without signal. I often have to refer to those books (which I have bought!), but without image, they are mostly unusable. Very frustrating, since ADE is the only app that can access to those DRM eBooks.Is there a way to fix this issue?

I'm trying to download a library book from digital editions to my ereader and get a message 'no permission to copy the book'

Is ADE 3 compatible with the 10.12.6 mac OS?  I am having difficulty transferring an ADE file to my nook.  Nook doesn't seem to like ADE 4.5 but the mac doesn't seem to like ADE3.

i have a new laptop .  i am authorized on ADE as a user.  I get this error message E-lic_already filled by another user. When I tried to download a library book to my nook the first time, i got an error message on nook-Book is not activated for current ADE user.       Now i get the first error message.  I have the same ADE on both devices.  i have spent 4 hours trying to figure this out.  PLease help!

I have ADE on my old laptop and it works fine.  I just tried to install on a new laptop running Win 7 and it will not work.  I've wasted 2 hours reading through all related posts in forums and in Adobe articles.  I've installed and uninstalled 4.5.7, 3.0 and 2.0.  Most of the time, it just stopped working when I tried to move the book I borrowed through Overdrive to my Nook.  In the older versions I started getting errors about not have permission to copy the book.  So I de-authorized and reauthorized using my Overdrive credentials (I had authorized using no vendor ID before).  Now I can't even get the books I'm borrowing to show up in ADE.  I uninstalled 2.0 and went back to 4.5.7 and the whole thing is still stuck and will not download books from Overdrive.  This program needs a Chat option.

I have been using ADE to read ebooks and then suddenly it won't download books and i can't open the already downloaded ones. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program 2X but did not work.  It won't accept my authentication ID and PW [they are correct] get the messageand then when I put in my adobe ID I get the following messageI don't know what to do as I download books directly from my university account.any help would be most appreciated.

Hello everybodythere's something that is still not clear to me:if I'm a publisher and I want to protect my book with DRM Adobe, is there no possibility to let the readers copy or/and print the book or is it possible to set some limits?Thank you

Hi,Adobe Digital Editions is required by many online booksellers and is thus unavoidable. There is a major drawback in this program: you can choose neither the location where your eBooks are stored nor the folder name. They are stored automatically in a folder created in “My Documents” folder, called “My Digital Editions”.This is not convenient for most users: as French, I don’t understand why the folder name should be in English; furthermore, it is much more convenient for me to store my eBooks, whatever their origin (ADE, Kindle…) in my OneDrive place.So I would like to suggest adding in the program settings the choice by the user of the location of the eBooks, as well as the name of the folder.Thank you,Pascal

Afternoon, I am trying to find the roadmap for Digital Editions. I have a customer that we wish to deploy to but am concerned around the lifecycle of the application. The only thing that I could find is the eol  All Apps Help | Products and technical support periods but can't anything that mentions Digital editions. Please can someone adviseMany thanks

BOnjour j'ai acheté des livres numériques. j'ai réussi à les ,mettre dans adobe digital éditions mais je suis incapable de les mettre dans ma liseuse. j'ai eu plusieurs problèmes différents mais aujourd'hui lorsque je tente de les mettre ds ma liseuse cela me dit que je ne suis pas autoriser a copier ce livre. j'ai voulu aller dans autoriser l'ordinateur lorsque j'entre mon id et mot de passe cela me dit " vous pouvez autorisez cet ordinateur à condition de ne pas utiliser un id déja alloué à un autre ordinateur ou périphérique mobile. je suis allée supprimer l'autorisation de mon autre pc mais cela ne marche pas plus.quelqu'un peux m'aider car je suis vraiment découragée j'ai tout essayé

Hi I just ran an update on the programme and now files that I had downloaded to my library are unreadable, I tried re downloading and they still won't open properly. I am getting partial text and no images. Any ideas on what to do?

Not even sure if I'm in the right forum here for Adobe Digital Editions.  I recently upgraded my Mac Operating System to High Sierra.  Now I can't download ePub books from the Library into Adobe Digital Editions (V. 4.5.7).  I think it has something to do either with the compatibility of ADE with High Sierra or my authorization in ADE.  I have tried erasing the authorization so I can re-authorize my Mac but I get an error message "Unable to Erase Authorization".  I have contacted Adobe live chat and they referred me to the forum.  Has anyone else encountered this issue and how did you resolve it?  Thank you

OK, so I had Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 on my laptop for a long time and it worked great. Last night it prompted me to update it to version 4.5, so I did. Now I can't get my epubs to open with it. I wanted to set it up like before, where epubs open automatically with ADE, but it doesn't even show up on my list of programs to choose from. I put version 3.0 back on and now it doesn't work either. I uninstalled everything and started over, but still no worky. No previous versions are available either. Any ideas?

I bought a book from an online book store which said I had to download it through Adobe Digital Editions.  Great!  I did that.  Paid money for my book.  But then I tried to transfer it from the ADE to my eReader and it says I have no permission to copy the book!!!  I PAID for the book!!!!  I want to READ the book!!!!  How do I override this so that I can actually get my money's worth out of the book???

I can see the digital editions icon in the taskbar. And my system thinks it is open. But I can't use it. Is it minimized? (I'm not given a maximize option, even if I right click on it.) Removed and reinstalled. No help. Running Windows 10 64bit.

Hi, I am hoping somebody can help a newbie ebook reader, I am unable to read my book due ADE not allowing me to scroll up or down?I can zoom out which makes it too tiny to read, if i zoom in non of arrows work or jumps 4 pages backwards or forwards.I have seen previous posts with this problem but a resolution has never been added, I am using a PC with windows 7.Hoping someone can help me!

Hello All,Adobe digital design is stuck verifying on my desktop..please help.I've tried to uninstall all versions, empty trash, and reinstall, but no success.I've followed prompts to install past 4.0 version but still stuck on verifying on my Mac.Any suggestions? And is there any way to phone in support to adobe? Do they not want to help customers?Thanks for any advice,Nate

I purchased an e-book in March 2017 through my personal email.  I downloaded Adobe Digital Edition onto my work computer and read the e-book.I now downloaded the e-book again onto my personal laptop, and installed Adobe Digital Edition.  I created a new Adobe ID and authorised the software.  However, when I tried to import the e-book I bought, the software says "Unable to download. Error getting Licence, Licence Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER".  I do not have many email addresses with me.  Only email address I could think of were work email and my personal one which purchased the e-book.  Both accounts cannot open the e-book due to the error.  I was wondering if I opened the book without authrising Adobe ID.Is there any way to re-gain the e-book I bought?  I have a receipt of my purchase with me.Thank you,

I can have access to all my books in my laptop, however there's non available in my smartphone ADE app. Please help!!!
