Digital Editions

Hi I just ran an update on the programme and now files that I had downloaded to my library are unreadable, I tried re downloading and they still won't open properly. I am getting partial text and no images. Any ideas on what to do?

Not even sure if I'm in the right forum here for Adobe Digital Editions.  I recently upgraded my Mac Operating System to High Sierra.  Now I can't download ePub books from the Library into Adobe Digital Editions (V. 4.5.7).  I think it has something to do either with the compatibility of ADE with High Sierra or my authorization in ADE.  I have tried erasing the authorization so I can re-authorize my Mac but I get an error message "Unable to Erase Authorization".  I have contacted Adobe live chat and they referred me to the forum.  Has anyone else encountered this issue and how did you resolve it?  Thank you

OK, so I had Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 on my laptop for a long time and it worked great. Last night it prompted me to update it to version 4.5, so I did. Now I can't get my epubs to open with it. I wanted to set it up like before, where epubs open automatically with ADE, but it doesn't even show up on my list of programs to choose from. I put version 3.0 back on and now it doesn't work either. I uninstalled everything and started over, but still no worky. No previous versions are available either. Any ideas?

I bought a book from an online book store which said I had to download it through Adobe Digital Editions.  Great!  I did that.  Paid money for my book.  But then I tried to transfer it from the ADE to my eReader and it says I have no permission to copy the book!!!  I PAID for the book!!!!  I want to READ the book!!!!  How do I override this so that I can actually get my money's worth out of the book???

I can see the digital editions icon in the taskbar. And my system thinks it is open. But I can't use it. Is it minimized? (I'm not given a maximize option, even if I right click on it.) Removed and reinstalled. No help. Running Windows 10 64bit.

Hi, I am hoping somebody can help a newbie ebook reader, I am unable to read my book due ADE not allowing me to scroll up or down?I can zoom out which makes it too tiny to read, if i zoom in non of arrows work or jumps 4 pages backwards or forwards.I have seen previous posts with this problem but a resolution has never been added, I am using a PC with windows 7.Hoping someone can help me!

Hello All,Adobe digital design is stuck verifying on my desktop..please help.I've tried to uninstall all versions, empty trash, and reinstall, but no success.I've followed prompts to install past 4.0 version but still stuck on verifying on my Mac.Any suggestions? And is there any way to phone in support to adobe? Do they not want to help customers?Thanks for any advice,Nate

I purchased an e-book in March 2017 through my personal email.  I downloaded Adobe Digital Edition onto my work computer and read the e-book.I now downloaded the e-book again onto my personal laptop, and installed Adobe Digital Edition.  I created a new Adobe ID and authorised the software.  However, when I tried to import the e-book I bought, the software says "Unable to download. Error getting Licence, Licence Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER".  I do not have many email addresses with me.  Only email address I could think of were work email and my personal one which purchased the e-book.  Both accounts cannot open the e-book due to the error.  I was wondering if I opened the book without authrising Adobe ID.Is there any way to re-gain the e-book I bought?  I have a receipt of my purchase with me.Thank you,

I can have access to all my books in my laptop, however there's non available in my smartphone ADE app. Please help!!!

I had a version of Adobe Digital edition installed on a hard drive that failed (mechanical failure).Data has been retrieved from the hard drive and is now held on a backup drive.I have reinstalled Adobe Digital editions on my new hard drive but I do not know how to find and retrieve the original book from the backup drive to my new hard drive.

Having an issue with Adobe Digital Editions 3, which is the only version on which I'm able to transfer overdrive books to my Kobo. I can't authorize my computer using my adobe ID - please help!

Adobe Digital Editions is causing strange display errors (see sample image below) (such errors do not appear in version 3)Same errors appear on the latest iPad app.The errors seem rather random - resizing a page or scrolling between pages causes the distortion to change.

I'm a researcher and I love Digital Editions. My Digital Editions had 790 books and journal articles. I had about 30 bookshelves, organizing my material. Two years ago, my computer crashed and just now have it back. I thought I lost everything. Digital Editions works, all my 790 material shows up but I now have only six bookshelves with only one book each in them and it seems I lost all my notes, highlights, and bookmarks on my research material!  That is bad. Is there any way of recovering my lost bookshelves and highlights?What do I do to preserve my notes, bookmarks, highlights, bookshelves?This is a pain in the ass, if I have to reshelve 790 books and journals!  What happens if my computer crashes again? In future upgrades, can you fix this with a "reboot Digital Editions folder.exe", that saves our catalogued material?

Mais parmi celles que j'ai créées, il y en a que je n'utilise plus (ces autorisations correspondent à des liseuses que nous n'utilisons plus). J'aimerais donc savoir s'il est possible de supprimer ces autorisations (devenues inutiles). Et par la même occasion récupérer des autorisations à accorder.J'espère avoir été claire... Bonjour,J'ai réinstallé l'application aldiko premium sur ma tablette et quand je veux ajouter mon compte DRM Adobe, j'ai un message d'erreur qui me dit que j'ai atteint la limite du nombre d'appareils autorisés alors que cette appli était autorisée 1 heure plus tôt!Je ne sais pas quels sont mes appareils autorisés... comment puis-je résilier toutes les autorisations pour pouvoir réinstaller seulement celles qui me sont utiles?Merci

After years using this Kobo and downloading ebooks from the library, and after no changes to equipment, my eReader says 'This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID.  Please sign-in with the authorized Adobe ID and try again."  So I erased authorization and re-authorized.  No difference.  Then I pressed the Windows button and R, got into Registry Editor, under key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\   I deleted the folder called Adept.  Re-authorized Adobe Digital Editions.  Downloaded a new ebook -- same error.

Installed ADE.No problems with authorisation.BUT: The programme simply refuses to load epapers and ebooks into the programm. It tells me since more an hour that it downloads an epaper (of probably 40 pages). The programme is not crashed, it seems to work but does nothing.-- What can I do?AND: No support! It is an effrontery to let customers solve the problems of beta- or even gamma programms by themselves. A programme should be provided with full functionality.Searching, trying and writing this comment took me now 2 hours of my life - and Adobe takes it for granted, not to pay people for testing half-ready products./HN

When trying to download books on e-book-reader  by using Adobe ID it says "Authorisierung überschritten" - more than six hardwares connected - although there are only two hardwares connected. No list of hardwares to be found anywhere to check what is meant and no idea how to correct this mistake!
