Digital Editions

I currently cannot opem ebooks I bought with Adobe DRM. When I try to install the .acsm files, I receive the error message: E_ACT_NOT_READ. When I try to de-authorise my Mac, I also get an error message saying I should try again later. But that does not help either. I installed the newest version of Digital Editions, still the same issues. What can I still do?

My PC is authorised for Adobe Digital Editions, but the default authorisation is linked to an old email address account.  I want to erase the computer authorisation and re authorise with my new email address, but I no longer have the password to erase the old email address account !

Hi, I am reading ebooks from digibib (Onleihe.de) with Adobe Digital Edition, since a few weeks I cannot read the newspaper FAZ. I see only the Headline and empty pages. I got the Information, that the problem is produced by the current Version 4.5.7. Older Version should run! So, what to do now?a. waiting for a correction patch? Is the bug recognized by Adobe?b. or installing an older Version? But how can I do this?best regardsGerhard

After downlouding and installing ADE (4.5.6) on my Win XP PC the program doesn't start up (After a double click on rhe ADE icon it seems to start for a moment, but it remains "dead".Same with ADE 4.0.Pls give me a suggestion !Tank youVera

After installed, an installer pop up shows at every Windows startup.I have tried to uninstall without success, using the Windows Add/Remove Programs. I also tried the uninstall.exe file that is located at the installation folder.Machine is Windows 7.How can I remove the Adobe Digital Editions installer pop up?

when I go to download an  ebook from my libray I get the message Error:check Activation.  when I do that, it says that my computer is activated.  I believe I may be having a problem because I tried downloading Adobe Digital Editions on a different computer, but did not activate it to complete the download.  Now I am home on my own computer and my Adobe Digital Editions is not working.  I am now receiving the Error message about checking Activation.  I have found where I can deactivate my account and then reactivate it, I know how to deactivate, but do not know how to activate again.  I really do not want to lose what I have in Adobe Digital Editions right now.  Can you please advise me on how to activate again.  I am using Windows 10.Ev

Imhaving problem downloading books to my nook. When I download the book it appears to be working however when i try to pull book up on my nook it says that the book has been returned even though i havent read. When I try to redownload it says that the book is already downloaded and gives me option to replace or duplicate.  I have tried both andit looks as though it is doing partial download but when i try to pull up on nook it tells me book returned.  The system worked much bwetter when the books were downloaded to overdrive.

Digital editions stops when I connect my ereader to authorize it. I can authorize my mac but not my ereader in this way

Ever since I ran the recent update for ADE I have been getting error messages.  They pop up every time I turn on my computer.  The first one is:C:\Users\[my user name]This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.  Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.I click 'OK' on this one (my only option), and then this message pops up:Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.7 SetupThe installer requires administrative access, aborting.I've uninstalled and reinstalled ADE, I've ran the program as the administrator, but nothing has changed.These messages also pop up when I try to download another program completely unrelated to Adobe.  I'm not able to finish any other download at the moment, I just get the messages, then whatever it is crashes.What do I do?

I am trying to view a ebook on digital editions and it is not displaying content in most of the pages, any ideas?I have been talking to the publishing company and it is the current version of Adobe causing the issue so I have uninstalled and installed an older version so it will display the content fully.

Ho disinstallato e reinstallato più volte la versione più recente per windows ma continua a bloccarsi. ADE has an extremely old email address on file for me.  I don't know the password and can't any option to reset--of course that would probably send an email to the bad address.  Is there another way to de-activate the account?  I have a Nook (1st edition) that seems to be working great other than I can't move my library materials over to it.  Help!

I cannot stop Digital Editions 4.5 from "downloading" books that I didn't even download (I saw them once on the "free books" page but did not download them because I already had them from other, authorized sources). I have followed all of the other instructions (unchecking the automatic-download box, deleting the My Digital Editions folder, etc.) except for "use an old version of ADE"... because any older version of ADE does not work with Overdrive lending-library downloads (the only reason I ever use this piece of crapware). What makes it worse is that trying to remove the "downloaded" book from the "Library" inside of ADE also deletes actual borrowed-from-the-library books.I refuse to set up new Digital IDs or anything else, because everything is linked to my lending library's account and Adobe's interface software doesn't allow the lending library to change the Digital ID — it instead requires establishing an entirely new account at the lending library (and this is a common Overdriv

I have an Adlibris Letto reading pad from Sweden. I bought a book from google play store and after purchase dragged it into the library of the Letto via Adobe Digital Edition. Its in the library like every other book, but when I try to open the book, it says a message "Unit authorization is needed to access Adobe DRM-protected content". The account is authorized on me jakobtegstrom1@gmail.com, but it still says this message. My sister bought this pad for me for present, maybe her account is linked to this? Maybe that the pad is aouthorized to my sisters account, but the purchase on google stands on me instead and when I try my sisters account it doesnt match with the vendor ID from google play. I authorized yesterday  my moms laptop and today I wanted to do the same with my dads but but this showed up:"you can only authorize this computer with an adobe ID that hasnt been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devises. Please try again."What does that mean? How long I have to wait? Right now we have 4 devices that are athorized with that ID..why can't I authoriize a fifth one?
