Digital Editions

I cannot get rid of the user not activated error when I open an ebook on my nook.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE.  Unregistered and registered my nook.  Unauthorized and reauthorized my laptop and nook, and yet I still get the user not activated message when i open an ebook.  I can even open the ebook through my nook on the computer and ADE but not on the device itself.  Any ideas?

I purchase a few eBooks from ASNT and was able to use on 4.5.2 version. But, a few weeks ago when I opened an eBook it prompted me to upgrade to the 4.5.7 version, so I did. After that any eBooks I was not able to view my eBooks as they were corrupted as in all the images where completely gone or super blurry to the extent of unrecognizable.I contacted Adobe support and they blamed it on ASNT, so I desided to contact ASNT and they cannot figure out why it does not work. They mentioned to go back to the 4.5.2 version, but how can I do that?I tried googling it and every link redirects me to Adobe 4.5.7 which does not work?Note, weve tried installing this on three computers now and have determined that the issue is the new 4.5.7 verision.Can anybody help since Adobe cant or is very hard to get a hold of someone.....

Hello,The helpdesk sent me to these forums to resolve this issue. Let me explain the issue: I bought a new ereader to replace my old one and logically I want to transfer my old books to my new ereader. This requires access to my adobe account which i made years ago, which i cant access anymore for this reason. I know which emailadress i used, but i cant remember the password. I cant reset my password cause the emailadress is so old that it doesnt exist anymore.So now it seems that I cant transfer my books to my new ereader. So either I never sell my old ereader (i can still read the books on my old ereader) or throw away all books i purchased and repurchase them which would make this the most expensive ereader ever.Is it possible to link those books i bought to my new adobe ID without having access to the old ID?I have created a new Adobe Digital ID. When i want to use my new ID in my old ereader it warns me that i wont be able to open my purchased books anymore, so that seems like a t

I am using Cloud Library to read public library ebooks on an Android tablet.  When I attempt to download checked-out books I get an error regarding too many activations, which appears to be an Adobe Digital Editions error.  I have chatted with Adobe Support staff and checked through many places in the forums and cannot find a way to correct this problem or reset the activations.

ADE 4.5.7 is very slow during reading of ePapers, especially newspapers. Scrolling with mouse wheel takes a couple of seconds, until ADE reacts. Also zooming and changing pages is very slow. Compared to Acrobat Reader, the performance of ADE is dramatically worse, even on fast computers. I ask Adobe to improve performance of their ADE product, otherwise it is simply not usable for reading ePapers and newspapers on Windows.Do you have any tuning tipps or ideas how to improve the overall performance?

Downloading to my computer (windows 😎 works fine.Connecting my Nook to my computer (and authorizing) works fine.Transferring the digital book seems to go fine.Attempting to open the digital book produces an error code "Loan token not found".What am I missing?

I have tried repeatedly to download Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 to my computer. Each time I download 4.5, an old version of Adobe Digital Editions 3 pops up on the task bar. The new Adobe Digital Editions won't work (I get a message that Adobe Digital Editions is already running), and I can't get rid of the old program on the task bar. The problem started when MacAfee blocked Adobe Flash Player Installer/Uninstaller 27.0r0. Somehow this is connected to Net Guard settings in the Internet Connections for Programs in the Firewall. I've talked to MacAfee second tier technicians twice, and they can't fix it. I'm a writer, and I need Adobe Digital Editions for my books. I hope that someone who works for Adobe who is an expert in Adobe Digital Editions will contact me. The person from Adobe who tried to help me today did the best he could, but he isn't that familiar with the program. I have to preview my new editions of my books before putting them up for sale. I really, really need help!

Hello,During the past few days (even after updating to the recent version), my app seems to keep freezing.  After getting out of one PDF and trying to open another, the screen would say “Opening.....” and then stay that way.  It does this with every subsequent PDF I attempt to open.  I have ended the app and it does not fix the issue.  I have to continually end and re-open the app in order to retrieve the next document.  I have also restarted my iPad to no avail.Please advise.

i have a security protection policy in Adobe X pro and part of the policy is set to allow high resolution printing.  I sent out 13 documents all with the same security policy.  Two recipients were unable to print the documents and when i went to in to check my saved pdf it said the password was wrong.  It is strange because all the other documents were fine.  As the policy is saved and applied by just clicking it i don't understand how this has happened.  it is to do with the password currupting?  Or could it be something with the recipients system?  i have re-saved the document to pdf and applied the saved policy and it works fine but the original document still does not accept the policy.any ideas would be gratefully receivedThank youCat

Hi ThereI have a textbook I bought and it uses the acsm file extension. For some reason ADE does not want to open the book. I have tried uninstalling and removing all recovery files associated with my previous ADE version. re-installed it, re-download the book and I still get an error cannot connect to server. every other page appears to be blank. i have downloaded an ebook onto adobe digital additions and i can not see the content on every other page. when i highlight the non-existent content there appears to be textboxes but no words. i have an exam on tuesday and this is the textbook i need to study. please help asap

Hi!My previous Adobe ID (which I've used to purchase a lot of ebooks) was an old university email that has now expired. I recently changed the email associated with my ID to my personal email. However, Adobe Digital Editions has not recognized this.I'm not sure how to proceed. When I try to deauthorize my account, it still shows the old email address, which I can no longer deauthorize, since there is no adobe id associated with it. Am I missing something? Shouldn't the change register automatically across all Adobe products and services? I've spent A LOT of money downloading ebooks on that account and would hate to lose access to them. I'd appreciate any help!

Ever since I installed the newest update a lot of the text from the Ebook just appears blank, Does anybody have any ideas or solution to this? thanks

Hello!Usually, I check out books from my public library and I can load them from my own library in Adobe Digital Editions onto my Kobo ereader without any problem. However, I've checked out two books today and when I try to do just that (whether by dragging the covers into the Kobo device or by right-clicking and choosing to send them to my Kobo), the screen freezes and forces me to exit! I've been trying (without success) for the past hours but nothing's working. The version is 4.5.7. I can't even read a book into Adobe Digital Editions for it freezes again and kicks me out. Please help me for I really want to read these books and don't wish to spend another three months waiting for them to become available again!Thank you very much! Best regards,Catherine

I am so tried of trying to get help with this problem. I have checked the forum and according to what I read, they say just get in touch with customer service and tell them to reset the ID. How on earth do you do that when there is no way to get in touch with them? I haven't seen where anyone has gotten help with this problem. I cannot open my 1400 books now on my new tablet with the ebook reader that I normally use because of "too many activations". As for getting help from Adobe, they are useless!! They won't help if the app is free. So what do you do? How can this be fixed? Any one have an answer to this?

When I want to update Adobe Digital Editions to 4.5.7.169634 new version, I can't complete setup process. At the norton security information window (I give screen capture of window), I can't choose agree or disagree button in this window. and I cant complete the the setup.How can I finish the setup ?Regards.
