Digital Editions

I stupidly updated my Digital Editions! I currently homeschool and am renting a textbook and I don't know what made me accept the upgrade. I am old enough to know better for sure. Anyway, the update went famously to my relief, but when I went to use the textbook again, the images are now nothing but static. I have attempted to reinstall the previous version download, but that failed. So I reinstalled the latest version and am back to square one. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to get my images? the textbook is about geography/history and I think the images are important to the text especially for young children. Any help is appreciated.

I've been using ADE successfully for years, downloading from my local library & other sites. Suddenly the screen is different; it no longer shows the bookshelves & the books I've downloaded. The "help person" at my local library could not solve the problem.

Hi to all Users of Adobe Digital Editions,I have recently moved my ADE Library from one computer (OS:Vista) to another (OS: Windows 7).  I transferred my library across to the Windows 7 computer and successfully registered it with Adobe AIR and the Adobe Digital Editions.  I can open the free content and one book I purchased.  However I am unable to open another purchased book (this cost me about $200 to purchase).  The library window shows the front cover but I cannot open it and is has "Missing"across the front cover.    Has anyone had this sort of problem and been able to solve it.I am very disappointed that there is no way to access help from Adobe unless I call them on an International number at Pacific Time.  I cannot see any facility to send an email question to them.  Any solutions for this? cheers,Tim

When I tried to download a book from my public library this morning to my Adobe Digital Edition program, another totally different program on my computer and the ebook downloaded into it but it's unreadable. I tried downloading an ebook which I downloaded from the same library two days ago and again it did not go into my Digital Edition but went to the other program. I've tried now several times and each time results in failure. Please help.

Iedere keer als ik Adobe Digital Editions open, staan daar (verlopen) boektitels die in de cloud zouden staan. Iedere keer verwijder ik ze, maar na elke keer komen ze weer terug. Het zijn boeken die ik van de bibliotheek heb geleend en later heb verwijderd. Hoe kan ik de titels definitief laten verdwijnen?

Can you change Adobe ID and still able to read the books with the new ID. Even thought they were activated with the old ID.

I'm unable to view my ebook after a system restore on my computer.  "This document is licensed to a different account" is the message I receive after signing in Digital Editions with my Adobe ID.  Help Please!  I want to dissociate my account, and reset the license to my adobe ID.

All of my notes and highlights in Adobe Digital Editions suddenly disappeared. How do I get them back? I tried C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Digital Editions\Annotations\<BOOKNAME>.epub.annot but it does not work, maybe because the file is DRM protected. Help!

HelloI can't access my books on my reader, "this document is protected by copyright" message comes every time.I can read them on my computer however.I already watched with Sony (reader) and the problem is not coming from them.It's been already 4 months that I'm asking for help. Can somebody, please, answer me?Thank you.

I guess I tell you here that I need to have my account reset and someone here will help me within 24 hours. Really why not let us do this in our account setting? This is a the worst experience with your product. Fix your customer service and just let us reset our product instead of making me wait 24 hours.

How do reset my activations? I hate having to go thought this each time I get a new device.

Hi, I keep getting an error code when I try to authorize my computer to open a book.  Currently, when I click on the book I'm told that my computer is authorized without an ID (which is strange because I recently bought books for personal use and had to install ADE and authorize my computer in order to be able to copy them to my ebook reader. The error is Activation server error: e_auth_not_ready.The book was bought on Google books at work. I need to be able to read this book on different computers (not only my work or personal computer) so I need to authorize my computer so that I'll be able to make a copy of the book into a more flexible format. Please help

Been using my old Nook / OverDrive / ADE / B&N.com / etc. for years and it's been fine.  I think. I am running ADE 4.5.7 on Windows 10 with an old Nook.WORKS:  borrowing books from library (OverDrive), reading them on the computer, transferring them to my Nook, reading them on the Nook.  Yay!Also WORKS:  buying e-books at B&N.com, reading online at B&N, transferring to Nook, reading on the Nook.  Yay!What DOESN'T WORK:  When I click on my Nook in ADE, it only shows the books I've borrowed from the library.  It will not show the books that I've purchased (and are on my Nook).  What I'd like to do is move some of these purchased books off my Nook and copy them to my computer via ADE and still retain them in my library. I'm not sure if this just stopped working when I upgraded from 4.5.3 to 4.5.7, or if I just noticed it, or if this is functionality that I'm not supposed to have?  Anyone have any thoughts on whether I should be able

I have an older Nook.  I have a Mac running Sierra.  I got notice from my library that my book was available through OverDrive.  I downloaded the book successfully to the computer and it reads on the computer.  However, when I transfer it to the Nook, I get the message "This book has been returned.  Loan not on record"  On the computer, there is the 13 day banner across the book in ADE.  I deleted and reloaded ADE without any change.  What should be my next step?  Thanks.

Supposedly, ADE 4.5.7 was released today to address security vulnerabilities, however the "4.5.7" link on the download page still gives you 4.5.6.  Does anybody know of an alternate download location that provides the correct version of the software?

Login issues with adobe digital editions

Anyone know how to work with notes and bookmarks in library books in Adobe Digital Edition?I know how to create notes but once the book is "returned" to the library and I check it out again the notes are gone which really is annoying.KR/Charlotte

Buongiornoieri ho acquistato un libro in formato acsm. il mio ebook della sony non lo legge.Ho installato adobe digital edition non avendo nessun id adobe ho autirizzato l'apertura del file senza id adobe.Il problema adesso e che sul reader ho invece un account adobe e importando l'epub generato non me lo apre. Leggendo le clausole di digital edition non avevo letto che utilizzando la versione senza id adobe posso leggere il libro solo sul pc.E' possibile rimuovere l'autorizzazione senza id adobe sul acsm e rifare di nuovo il file epub con una utenza id creata?grazie per l'interessamento

I have an adobe digital edition reader authorization (to read my acsm file), made WITHOUT an adobe digital edition account, on one pc; and have an adobe digital edition reader authorization (to read an identical acsm file), made WITH an adobe digital edition acconut, on another pc. I'd like to simply read that acsm file on both computers, but: on the pc where I have the account, I get the message "there are too many authorizations" and can't create the authorization; on the pc where I don't have the account I can still read the file but can't delete nor modify the authorization. I read that I can read an acsm file on up to six computers with that reader, if I have the account, so how shall I do to make it work on two?

I purchased an adobe digital editions book and it will not display properly. I have purchased a digital editions book before and it worked fine. Since the book did not display properly, I unauthorized my adobe account on my computer and reauthorized. It did not work. I uninstalled ADE and reinstalled it - several times even deleting all associated files and re-downloading. Did not work. In fact, the previous book now does not display properly anymore on my computer either. I am frustrated with my ADE. It should work properly with no display problems. But I can tell that words and images are missing from some pages on the book. This is absolutely not acceptable and I am disappointed that Adobe Digital Editions does not work properly and is full of issues and bugs.

One of our Overdrive users in having a problem with ADE crashing everytime she returns an Overdrive book. Despite it crashing the book is returned from her Overdrive account, but remains on ADE until you select "Remove from Library". She has a Windows 8 desktop PC and had installed ADE 3. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling etc which made no difference. I tried installing ADE 2 instead and still did the same thing! Anyone have an idea of how to fix this?

Hi,I can't seem to deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions on Mac OS X.9.5. I've followed the advice to hit the Cmd, Shift, and D buttons, and entered the password (that I just updated), but I get an error message that says:Unable to Erase Authorization. Please try after some time.I tried updating the software to the latest version (4.5.7), but that failed. I also tried uninstalling the program with MacCleanse and then reinstalling, but it failed to delete my login information. Any suggestions for how to fix this problem?Peter

I'm trying to add my husband to my adobe acct. so that he can also borrow books from the library. I only have adobe so that I can borrow online. Is there any way to be able to do this without having to pay?
