Digital Editions

I installed a large textbook (166 MB) purchased from a publisher and used it last week for several days. Today, I see the book on the bookshelf but when I try to read it, ADE does not open the book; the cursor just keeps spinning. (ADE 4.5 running on Apple OS X).  The activity monitor shows it is not responding. I waited 30 min and no luck.  I removed the book from the bookshelf and reinstalled it and tried to read it again.  Same result - the cursor keeps spinning and never opens the book. I uninstalled ADE 4.5 and re-installed it and redownloaded the book. No luck. Then I de-authorized the computer and reauthorized it, re-downloaded the book again. This time, the book has not yet appeared on the bookshelf and the activity monitor says it is still not responding after 15 min.  Then I quit ADE and after restarting it, I see the bok on the bookshelf; however, it does not open when I try to read it. I do not see any error messages.The book information says it is licen

I have been using digital editions for years and it has always worked fine.  Recently it started duplicating books, mixing different titles with the wrong pictures and lending times, and if I transfer the books to my nook, it gives the error this book is no longer on loan message.  I tried using a different computer, but the problem is back.

The options under pdf view (under Reading tab) are grayed out while reading epub file. Need help to enable the pdf view options. I am using windows 10 and adobe digital editions version 4.5.6.

I've been using Digital Editions to read a textbook for school homework assignments. Last week, my textbook disappeared from the app. It says that I have 0 items in my bookshelves. The textbook was set to expire in January, so I know that it didn't expire yet. I tried troubleshooting this issue by reading through some online forums, which mostly say to go into the Digital Editions folder in my computer and then the Books folder, then either drag and drop or paste the books back into the Digital Editions app. My computer has the Digital Editions folder, but no Books folder. So the downloaded books are not in my File Explorer. The book cost over $100, so I would really love to not have to repurchase it. I've already missed a homework and a writing assignment over the course of three days due to this problem, which is going to cause an 11 point deduction (more than an entire letter grade) from my final grade in the class. Hello,I have a problem with my tolino e-reader. I downloaded books on it, and before being able to read them i had to authorise it with my Adobe ID.No problems at first, but everytime i recharged my tolino (by plugging it in the computer via USB) i had to reauthorise. So last time i did this and i tried to authorise, i get the error in the title saying only 6 devices can be authorised with this Adobe ID. So i would like to know how to solve this and if possible to avoid it in the future.Kind regards

I recently downloaded a book onto ADE on my laptop. I also downloaded the app onto my Ipad and logged in with the same credentials with which I downloaded the book. Now I am trying to get the book onto the app on my Ipad, but it's not working. If someone has experienced this issue and knows how to solve it, please let me know!!

Hello,Please help me with a log in issue. I can not log in on my Samsung S8 to read an ebook that I bought. The message I received is I am log on too many devices, but in fact I am log in only on my laptop. I uninstalled and installed again Adobe DRM, I restart my phone, but nothing is working. Thank you.

PC runs windows 10. Copying of ebook appears to work but doesn't release PC when copy is completed. Cancel doesn't work. The only way I can complete the transfer is restart my PC which closes the app.

I have just installed Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. When I connect my Sony Reader device, it is not recognized. I am unable to launch the authorization procedure for the device with the CTRL + SHFT + U key (or any other). Any advice on how to get ADE to see my reader and load books on it?

I have followed all the help steps outlined in Help Support but 'Device' does not come up on the screen.  I am using a Macintosh and a Sony PRS-T2.I have authorised the computer but have not been asked to authorise the device.Thanks,Graeme

I have downloaded Adobe Digital Editor and opened the document.  I have enlarged the text but cannot seem to scroll down on the page, what am I doing wrong?

Hallo zusammen,Ein letzter Schrei nach Hilfe: seit  einigen Monaten beschäftigt mich ein berühmt/berüchtigter Adobe-Digital-Editions-Fehler, der weit verbreitet ist und anscheinend bevorzugt auf dem Mac auftritt. Ich habe alles in allen relevanten Foren und Blogs gelesen und ausprobiert. Geholfen hat es nichts.Ich habe daraufhin den Adobe-Support kontaktiert. Dieser hat mir zweimal Links geschickt, die aber beide auf der gleichen Standardseite landen. Die Handelsanleitung lautet im Prinzip: „Autorisierung löschen und neu Autorisieren, im Zweifelsfalle ADE deinstallieren und neueste Version installieren“. Da alles nicht funktioniert hat, habe ich den Support erneut kontaktiert und erhielt folgende Auskunft: „ADE ist ein kostenloses Produkt. Einen weitergehenden Support bieten wir in diesem Falle nicht an“. Ist das nicht toll. Dann sollte Adobe doch wenigstens ehrlich sein und zugeben, dass das Teil auf einem MAC nicht korrekt läuft. Diverse Foren und Blogs legen diesen Schluß nahe.

Adobe Digital Editions zeigt beim Schließen von Epubs, die nur auf der Festplatte sind, die Fehlermeldung "Die Lesezeichen-Funktion funktioniert nur, wenn das Buch in der Bibliothek geöffnet ist. [ ] Diese Warnung nicht mehr anzeigen."Wenn ich den Haken bei nicht mehr anzeigen setze, ändert das nichts daran, dass die Meldung trotzdem jedes Mal angezeigt wird. tried to delete activation key but forgot Password, what can i do?

Hi,I'm trying to  use my Adobe DE for my KOBO and when I'm opening the page the only thing I have is a blank page with que upperline and the only button I can use is Help. I tried about 10 times to delete and dowload again. I tried the version 2.0 and 3.0,  the last time of the 3.0 was opening....I succefully download the bookin the ADE before he desapeared. I tried to click to run as admin.... So I can't rent book since 3 weeks. I've also tried to create another adobe ID. I also tried the appli on my cell phone and it's working but I can't tranfer the rents books on my kobo... WHAT CAN I DO ???Thank you. Sorry if my english is not verry goog, I speak french!

Downloaded e-book (several times), try to open it and it locks up. What can I do? Is there any resource that I can turn to?

ADE old email no longer access, and I also can not remember the password. so what should I do ?

I have a Mac with OS X 10.10.2 (Yosemite).  I am running Digital Editions 4.0.3.  The same problem also happened on Digital editions 4.0.2.I have signed into Digital editions with my Adobe ID and can see all of my books (I migrated from a PC).  However, I cannot open any new borrowed (library) epub books in digital editons.  The error message I get is Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READYI have tried signing out of digital editions.  In the older (4.0.2_ version I was able to do this, sign back in again, but still had the same problem (same error message).  In the newer digital editions when I try to erase authorization information, I get the error message Unable to erase authorization information.  Please try again after some time.I am pretty sure this a mac-only problem as it works perfectly well and I am able to add borrowed books etc on my PC.  I am new to mac so maybe I am missing something obvious....b

I've been using Digital Editions for my textbooks this semester and previously had no issues authorizing it and reading my books on my computer and iPhone. I recently switched from iPhone to Android, and have been having a plethora of problems.All of a sudden, my PC version of digital editions unauthorized itself, and when I try to reauthorize it, it says "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't previously been used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices" despite this PC being the first thing I authorized my account on (I have also since unauthorized my iPhone).I'm not sure if this is why, but my books also do not transfer to my android, despite it being authorized (I have followed all of the troubleshooting steps provided by Adobe to no avail).On top of that, my books are endlessly creating copies of themselves on my PC version of digital editions.Anyone have any ideas on how to solve these issues? Thanks!

I requested this months ago and it was never completed. Please reset my device activation count, as I purchased a new laptop and phone and cannot access my books on either of them.

Ho installato anni fa ADE su MAC Book pro e ho acquistato nel tempo ebooks da IBS e altri fornitori; ora ho scaricato la app per Ipad e iphone; ho autorizzato l'account in impostazioni e il download risulta attivo, ma non vedo la libreria e i testi già acquistati.
