Digital Editions

Hi,  I have a problem with my Kobo eReader and Adobe Digital Editions.  I keep getting two messages when I attempt to download a book from my local library using their Overdrive system. Message 1 is CE_COPY__NOT_ALLOWED No permission to copy book.  Message 2 is E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS. Am I correct that every time I try to down load a book and I have to reauthorise my computer because I get a message telling me that it is not authorised to download the book I use up one of my six licences.  Any help would be appreciated.  Meanwhile how do I get the licences reset.Thanks Terry

When I try to load ADE, a square appears in the middle on both computer screens that says Adobe Digital Editions...loading library, but it never loads! I can't open ADE (been using it for years) can't do anything & there's no help anywhere! & I have books available at my library ready to download & I can't!! HELP, please!! Nancy G

Like asked in the headline.. I am new to ADE, and cannot figure out how to login in the program? I just downloaded a book, in the belief that I was logged in, because I was logged in to adobes webpage when dowloading ADE. It didn't pop op to log-in while downloading the book. In the guide in ADE it says that the login option will come op when downloading a book... So I assumed it was because I was already logged in. Though it really seems like I'm not. How can I see if I am logged in??Really hope someone can help me and that I didn't just loose the option to open my book on other devices..Thanks!Best regards Mia

I cannot transfer a book using ADE 3. from overdrive library page to Nook Light as my PC Computer does not recognize the Nook on the screen when plugged into each other. Any help?

Purchased ebook and I can only see the cover and the rest of the book is all blank pages?Searched forum and the only message was "Update IE."Solutions?????????????

I checked out an e-book from my local library (using the ADE version option). I downloaded the .acsm file. When I attempt to add the book to my PC's library or simply open from the .acsm file, I get the above error message.My library directed me to the OverDrive support folks who directed me to Adobe's support page which was singularly unhelpful. I've de-authorized and re-authorized my ADE. I can't delete and re-download the book. My library doesn't allow this format to be returned early, and I really don't want to have to wait until it expires to get it again in a different format.I am using ADE version 3.0. My OS is Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium SP1. I use Firefox 55.0.3 (32-bit).Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi! You're my only hope.

Hi,When I bought an eBook I was prompted to register an Adobe ID, presumably to link it to the eBook in question for authorization purposes, but I clicked download immediately instead and the option to register an Adobe ID disappeared. Now I cannot in any way seem to be able to open the eBook I purchased. I have tried to authorize my computer without ID, with ID, and I have tried a couple of different versions of Adobe Digital Editions (4.5 and 3.0).I get an error message saying:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERHow do I proceed?Any help is greatly appreciated. In advance, thanks for your time.Regards,Vegard.

I have the same problem as many other users.  Entitle Ebook Subscription was shut down in 2015, and now I am no longer able to access the ebooks that I have purchased.  I have the ebook files in my ADE library but am unable to open them due to the vendor ID no longer working.  Many users have inquired about this judging by the discussions I have found.  However, no one has answered.  How can I switch from Entitle DRM to Adobe DRM??  Or is there some other way around this??  Please help me!!!

The reader works fine until it needs to load a picture.When this happens the reader nearly freezes and scrolls with about 2 Frames per sekund. I can not seem to find a solution to the problem.

My Kobo e-reader was functioning very well with Adobe and library books - then suddenly my content was locked! the message on my e-reader is that I need to authorize my e-reader with Adobe, but when I plug it in, Adobe does not offer me the option to set it up, it just appears in my library view.  I can't figure out how to re-authorize.  Can anyone help me?  I'm feeling a little desperate here!Many thanks.

I tried to add a book but got the error message "Error! Check Activation". I then learned I had to de-authorize my computer and then re-authorize.Now, the problem is that the option "Help > Erase Authorization" does not seem to exist. So how do I de-authorize so that I can read this god forsaken book?

Does Adobe Digital Editions work with Chromebooks? I have the latest samsung chromebook plus and can,t get it to take my library downloads. Nothing happens.Am i doing something wrong?

Hi!I've recently bought a technical book (EPUB) and downloaded through Adobe Digital Editions (most recent version) for windows 10. At first it worked very well, but a few hours later, everytime I tried to open the book, it stopped working (it says "not answering" in portuguese).How can I solve this?It was a very expensive book, I really need to study and I'm getting really frustrated. I was having issues with the program so I uninstalled then reinstalled, but now whenever I try to add a book it gives me an error message 'Error! Check Activation.". But there's nowhere in the program or on my account that says anything about activation. What do I do?
