Digital Editions

Version 4.5.12, excellent reader and I was excited to finally find a reader that works so well and fills the gap in the Windows and Android world.  Apple does have an excellent reader, but there was no equivalent until Adobe Digital Editions. Anyway, the problem I discovered is when you delete a bookmark you land at the end of the book. 

I cannot authorize ADE using my NYPL credentials. I keep getting the error message that my user id or password is incorrect. Any suggested solutions?

I do not understand whether or not Digital Editions is flawed as a result of technical retardation on the part of its developers (unlikely), or because it represents a triumph somehow of the rights of publishers over those that pay for access to that published content. The reason for doubting that the crippling navigational and other shortcomings of the product as a result of profound programming retardation comes as a result of comparing Digital Editions to Reader, Acrobat, and so forth. I guess it's cool to play at communist until the folks cutting the bigger check object. I just spent for instance 85 bucks on an electronic text for a law class. The scrolling, inability to copy any text whatsoever, even though I can easily type out what I need in a time-consuming manner, the almost horrificly bad resizing tools and behaviours, I just don't know where to start. Let me just finish by offering both a hearty and sincere, "thanks for a piece of crap".

using a M2 MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.3. when I tried deauthorizing this terrrible, terrible app, I got this error message. I had entered my Adobe password correctly. did I mention that I don't much care for this app?

Hi,I have multiple monitors at work that my laptop is hooked up to.  I am traveling with only my laptop and when I open Digital Editions it creates the window off screen. I have rebooted my laptop and even reinstalled Digital Editions.  When I open Digital Editions, I see a window shoot off to the left and I can't pull it back.  I'm running DE 4.5 and Win 7 Pro. All my other programs work fine. Thanks,Corey

Damit ich mein eBook (ACSM-File) lesen kann, habe ich eben die neueste Version 4.5.12 von ADE auf meinem Notebook (Windows  11) heruntergeladen und mit meinem Adobe Account verknüpft bzw. autorisiert. Wenn ich aber das eBook ins ADE einfüge, werden nur einzelne Seiten angezeigt. Ich habe ADE mehrmals deinstalliert + installiert und auch das eBook neu heruntergeladen, leider bleibt das Problem bestehen. Kommt euch das bekannt vor? Danke für eure Tipps! Stefan

Bonjour,je suis linux mint et j'utilise adobe digital edition 1.7 et lorsque je souhaite ajouter un fichier acsm sur l'application je recois l'erreur W_ADEPT_CORE_ACTIVATION_CERT_NOT_FOUND.J'avais auparavant bien sur desinstallé et reinstallé l'application. desautorisé mon compte et reautorisé mais le probleme persiste.  Quelqu'un saurait-il comment faire ? 

Hello, I purchased an ebook delivered via the ACSM file. I'm successfully using it with Adobe Digital Edition. Now I've been informed by the publisher that they are going to close their service permanently and they informed me that the ebooks will no longer be accessible. Is there any way I can keep the eBook on my computer? Thanks you!

I am a Professor at UNCA. I have ebooks that I can access on my laptop using digital editions. I have installed digital editions on my office desktop this morning, but it won't let me open the books. It keeps asking for login info. I did not have to do that on my laptop.

I have just changed to a new comouter, and have re-loaded Adobe Digital Editions.  I require assistance to locate thedigital libray files on the new computer.

Estoy intentando transferir un fichero EPUB del ordenador a mi ebook. Uso la verión 4.5.12.112 de Adobe Digital Editions, pero me sale un error "E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS", aunque no tengo instalado el ADE en ningún otro dispositivo. Si desinstalo ADE y lo vuelvo a instalar sigue ocurriendo lo mismo. No sé por qué dice que supero el número de activaciones ni como hacer para resetear el contador de las mismas

Any news on a version of Adobe Digital Editions for Android 13? Or are we excluded from the joys of the proprietary ebook marketplace?

Hi!I imported the .acsm file of my book in Adobe Digital Editions and a .pdf file automatically appeared in the My Digital Editions folder on my computer. The problem is that it has a password by default, which of course I don't know and I have no idea how to figure it out. Please help. 

Hello. Whenever I try to cancel the activation of my Mac computer, I receive the error "Unable to erase authorization. Please try after some time." I've followed the following instructions as suggested in prior posts:Mac:1. Go-> Go to folder.Go to folder dialog will appear.2. Type   ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editionsdrag the activation.dat file to the trash. ADE will be deauthorized now.Now Authorize ADE again. ADE will be deauthorized now.Now Authorize ADE again. HOWEVERWhen I go to Library/Application Support/Adobe, there is no Digital Editions file and I haven't been able to find the activation.dat file anywhere either. Thanks for your help!

Hi all,I am having trouble transferring my ebooks to my reader as DE doesn't pick up my Kobo Clara- Though it is showing up on My Computer (I am using a chromebook btw). Things I have tried, with no luck:- uninstalled and reinstalled DE what feels like a million times- restored factory settings on my Kobo- tried to find an older version of DE on the Play Store to no avail- spoke to someone over chat. Sorry Nisha, I'm sure you're a lovely person, but you were no help whatsoever- cried profusely.

I really want to connect my ereader for ebooks to Adobe Digital Editions. When I open the downloadlink within Adobe Digital editions I repeatedly get the notification (servererror) E_Act_Not ready. But when I try to deautorize the licention, an old emailadress pops up. This is an emailadress that hasnt been used for years, but the app gives me no other option than to deauthorize through this mailadress, which keeps me in a loop.I hope somebody can give me some advice for this specific problem!

I bought some books from Google Play.When i opened books from Google Play with Adobe Digital Editions by exporting acsm file, the viewer displays them distorted. For example, you can reproduce this problem with the free e-book( https://play.google.com/store/books/details/%EA%B9%80%ED%95%84%EC%82%B0_%EB%85%BC%EC%9F%81%EC%A0%81_UX?id=Ag06EAAAQBAJ ). In the page 151, you can see the following figure:When you see book's contents with browser, there aren't any problem. The left is screenshot captured when i open the book with browser. But if you open it with Adobe digital editions, you can see right figure. To sum up, when i opened the digital book with Adobe digital editions, most images in the book are distorted.

I am trying to download an epub file of a book I have purchased on Google play and I am trying to download it thru the .ACSM file using Adobe Digital Editions. But each time it is downloading another book I have purchased. Any idea how this can be resolved ? Is it an issue with ADE or the .ACSM files ? Please assist.
