Digital Editions

I got a new ipad.  Overdrive adobe ID and my digital editions ID aren't the same, therefore, I can't read books I download on my ipad in Digital Editions.  I tried to erase authorization in digital editions, but it is asking for a vendor login ID.  I want to get the digital editions account to be the same as the ipad, as I have already started reading the book in overdrive.

I have had the Adobe Digital Editions reader installed on a computer since this summer, when I needed it to receive an e-book sent to me by a publisher. Recently, I accessed a book through a university library through the ADE reader. There were some initial problems downloading the book to the reader, but it finally downloaded.  When it did, I noticed that the earlier book was labelled "Missing."  This week, I have a new computer and am trying to access both books. Since ADE reader was not installed on my computer when I bought it, I went to the site and downloaded and installed the software. I also accessed my account, through which I purchase other Adobe products. ADE reader was not there--maybe because it is freely available and not a subscription?Anyway, when I returned to the reader itself, neither of the books was there. Shouldn't those books be accessible to me from the Cloud somewhere. I don't recall having to register it in anyway and I have no record of User Name or

It's such a long story that I don't know where to start and it's all starting to blur together, so I'll do my best here. I was originally using ADE 2.0, which I've been using since March of 2013 with few errors. I started with OpenLibrary (had no library card) and then two years ago moved to a place where I had a library card. Had few errors, a couple of instances of "E_STREAM_ERROR:", but they cleared up on their own and were only momentary.Toward the end of October I was reading an ebook I'd borrowed from my local library. Got toward the middle and it seemed to freeze. It didn't really freeze. The book just kept going slowly. It got "stuck."  It took forever to go from the book to my library. I left the book in my library (as long as it wasn't accessed, it wasn't problematic) and sent an email to my library via Overdrive on 11/1. No response. I removed the book from my library, re-downloaded it, still the same problem. Sent a second email after several days to my library. No res

I download books for my kobo via overdrive.  I have adobe 4.0.  It has always worked then suddenly stopped.  If I try to download a book the message Error: Check Activation appears.  I have tried to deauthorize my computer so I can reauthorize it, but it says "unable to unauthorize computer.  Try later"  I also uninstalled the program and reinstalled it - that did nothing.  I then uninstalled it and installed 3.0 (older version)  Once I had 3.0 - any library book I tried to download attempted to open via Adobe Reader X with an error message of Unable to open the file.  So - no library books for me.  Is there anything that can be done to fix this issue or do I need to go back to paperback books?

When I download a book from the Toronto Public Library I receive the following errorUnable to DownloadError Getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_STREAM_ERRORThis just started two days ago. I've been using the library with my KOBO for over 4 years and I've never had a problem.Any ideas ?Jeff White

My laptop was stolen and now I have a new laptop. I downloaded Adobe digital editions and authorised it with my digital id, but I do not see the ebooks that I purchased. I have a PC with Windows 10.How can I access my ebooks? ( I do not have a copy of the invoice or receipt) 

I Mac computer is slowly dying and I have bought a new computer (software: Windows 10). How can I transfer my books in my Mac Digital Editions to my new computer?

When I try to erase authorization I get a error message saying please try some time later. This has been going on for 24 hours.

I've download Adobe Digital Edition to my PC; I have authorized my computer; I have downloaded the library book borrowed in .acsm (I also see it on my computer as a .epub file) and I can see it on Adobe Digital Edition when I open it, but it's the only thing I see!  I have plugged in my Kobo Aura H20 (which is included in the compatibility list) to the computer. BUT, it doesn't appear in the list on the left as a device that I can authorize.  Why doesn't it appear?  And how can I authorize it?  I only seem to be able to authorize 1 computer and that's it. I don't get any errors nothing like that, just doesn't seem to recognize it. Help, what am I doing wrong or not doing???  I just want to read my book!!!ThanksK

The last ebook I downloaded taken as a loan from a public library was  not updated  on my  notebook (OS  Windows 10 ) regularly  authorized by ADE  4.5.2  with Adobe  ID . On the other side, the same ebook is opened and displayed rightly on my desktop authorized  with the same  Adobe ID.What have I to do  to solve the problem? Thanks a lot for any useful advice.  .

Is there an Adobe Digital Editions that is compatible with Windows 10?

Hi,I have purchased some agility books from a company called Clean Run on agility.  I have downloaded them to Adobe Digital Edition and am reading them.  I do not want to have to read from my desktop (running Windows 10).  I would like to read them on my Chromebook.  I have downloaded the app Overdrive on my Chromebook.  How do I get my books from ADE to Overdrive?  Please help and thanks in advance for any ideas.Jocelyn

Except I just checked out the book and downloaded it to my PC laptop.I've had issues with this since the summer. Got a new laptop, successfully downloaded a single book, now everything is giving that message. A file has been moved to the Nook Glowlight, but I keep getting the message that I have somehow returned the book...it's obviously a failed authorization but WTF? I'm about to toss both Adobe and the Nook.Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to access through Aldiko book reader but adobes login/password, keeps saying"error".What can I do?

Okay I have downloaded ADE 4.5 on my Next book running Android 5.0.  Software installs okay.  Download ascm file from vendor click on it then a dialog box opens says which program click Adobe digital editions.   Program opens then error message as follows:  unable to download  error getting license. License Server Communication Error. E_Act_Not_Ready.   Now the program works great on my two computers but will not work on Nextbook Tablet.   Now in my account settings on Adobe website it shows 2 desktop computers have been authorized,  there is a section right below that for OTHER APPLICATIONS it shows that nothing has been authorized.  Don't know if it's a vendor issue from bookstore or not acts more like license issue from Adobe.  Any suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have been getting this error message on Adobe Digital Editions trying to download validly borrowed library e-books.  I have been borrowing this way for several years and not had this problem before this week.  Please advise.

My ADE will not accept books downloaded from the library.

My computer was authorized 5 years ago using an email address that I no longer have.  I have forgotten the password that I used.  I’m trying to authorize Adobe Digital Editions using my new email address and password but am unable to because it is asking for the password that I have forgotten.  Is there a way of retrieving the old password and having it sent to my new email address?

I've download Adobe Digital Edition to my PC, I have authorized my computer, I have downloaded the library book to but it's the only thing I see?  I have plugged in my Kobo Aura H20 (which is included in the compatibility list) to the computer. My operating system is Windows 7 Pro. I've been using Adobe Digital Editions for years a week ago I had a problem downloading e-books from the library and message popped up reading something like authentication needed…. So to try and problem solve I reinstalled ADE and try to download one of your trial books on your site and also from the library and got the following message "Error check activation". I contacted Adobe and they haven't formed me I have activation left. Please let me know how to move forward.

I am trying to download library books to my Kobo using Overdrive and ADE.  I have downloaded, authorized and the library book is in ADE library.   Everytime I try to transfer to my Kobo the program crashes.   Is there a solution.

About a week ago my nook glowlight plus started getting that message.  I have reauthorized by nook several time and I also went to Barnes and Noble. Still isn't working. 

What do I do for a ERROR CHECK AXCTIVATION message on adobe digital edition?????

I'm asking the license to download an ebook format ACSM but my supplier is not in the drop-down menu, it is an Italian supplier, called IBS, Internet bookshop Italy. How should I do?
