Digital Editions

For several days now I have received the following message when I want to download an e-book: Error retrieving license. Communication problem with license server: E ADEPT UNKNOWN. I have already performed the following actions without success:remove authorization and reauthorize computer;Uninstall ADE software and reinstall it. I also waited a few days, assuming that the license server was actually unreachable, but that doesn't seem to be the case. A similar problem was reported in this community in 2016. The solution offered was to edit the registry (remove ADEP key), but the entry in the registry has been changed as far as I could see. How can this problem be solved?The website I downloaded the e-book from only supports ADE. Thanks in advance and kind regards,Stef

La app da muchos fallos en iPhone y ipad. lo uso principalmente para poder estudiar en la UNED, y cada día que uso la aplicación es un suplicio. la zona de lectura no se amplía automáticamente al tamaño del dispositivo, por lo que tienes que realizar zoom. Si quieres resaltar alguna zona, no puedes si estás en zoom, y cuando puedes resaltar, aveces funciona, otras te ignora.  Compatibilidad con Apple pencil nula. ¿hay alguna actualización que solucione todos los problemas que existen? Necesitamos un mínimo de calidad en la aplicación tras gastarnos un dinero en la compra de libros.

Het is toch gelukt om het Online gekochte boek op de E-reader te zetten: Alvorens men hieraan begint moet men eerst het programma Adobe Digital Editions downloaden en installeren, dan naar het Online gekochte boek in Google - Play - boeken b.v. gaan en hier in de bibliotheek bij het betreffende boek op de 3 ... klikken en Exporteren selecteren. Zorgen dat het bestand, heeft nu een .epub extensie i.p.v. een epub.acsm extensie, in de bliotheek van het Adobe-programma komt, men kunt hier rechts op klikken, eerst de E-reader met USB kabel verbinden aan de computer/laptop, en kopieëren naar E-reader selecteren, als men de E-reader losgekoppeld heeft de optie syncrhoniseren op de E-reader uitvoeren om het betreffende boek daadwerkelijk toe te voegen.Op deze manier krijgt men ook het meldingsvenster: Probleem met Licentieserver E_adept_request_expired niet op het scherm, heeft wat "brainstormen" gekost, maar hier leert men ook weer wat van, gr C.Heijboer.

When I open some comic books with Adobe Digital Editions, the page appears enlarged and I cannot read them properly. Is there any solution for it? 

I have two adobe reader accounts. One for my family one for personnel use. The computer has my personnel account on it. I want to add the family account to add books to my wifes nook. Can not seem to find out how to do that

I bought an e-book with a now terminated Adobe ID. I know the urn:uuid: and have a receipt. Can that urn:uuid be connected to my present Adobe ID?

Les comento el caso.Tuve que descargar el otro día un libro que está solo para vuestra aplicación, resulta que lo descargue en el ordenador y lo hizo bien, pero al instalar la aplicación en el móvil no reconoce el libro. He intentado descargarlo desde la web y no me deja descargar en el móvil da error de descarga y al traer el PDF al móvil lo ve en la aplicación pero al darle abrir me saca de la aplicación. En el ordenador se ve bien. Alguien podría decirme que puede ser?.Los 2 sistemas son de Apple. Gracias.

I forgot to ask. I'm having some difficulty attempting to convert my book to a Kindle eBook- and format it according to Kindle Direct Publishing requirements. I've used a Word Doc, but the pics and text/shapes were displaced. I tried a PDF. But I had similar issues, but mostly with the page cover background.  I spoke with the Senior Kindle representatives, tried the tutorials, watched videos, and researched to no avail. I've also reached out to Fiverr, but for some reason my email is locked out. Needless to say I need simple step-by-step instruction and live person to figure out what other program can convert/format my Word Doc so that Kindle will accept it. I do have some mild cognitive disabilities, so it's a little more of a challenge for me.  What software would be the easiest? Is there a different program, other than Word that I should be working within. Does Adobe have an eBook publishing program or software? Thanks.

Hello, I am using ADE on a Samsung Tablet, on my Adroid phone and on a Mac. Since today I cannot authorize on my phone and Tablet but on my Mac. Do you know this problem and have a solution?

I've bought an ebook from libreriaitaliana.it, and when opening the .acsm file, all it shows is the E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN error. I thought it was a problem with the bookstore, but when speaking with them, nothing could fix the problem. I changed the account, downloaded the file multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled ADE and even got a refund so I could buy the book again and the key would be different, but nothing has helped. I have bought a product I cannot access so I request help.

My books from the library get to digital editions but can't get them to load to my kobo. What do I need to do?

I need to download ADE and it is saying ‘this app isn’t available for your device because it was made for an older version of android.’ Is there any update as I can’t read Ebooks with out this. 

Ho un problema con Adobe digital editions. Avevo l'app sul telefono, l'ho disinstallato e reinstallata modificando la password. Prima riuscivo a scaricare i libri, adesso non più: leggo Errore di licenza. Inoltre, non trovo più i miei libri digitali. Come si può recuperare il vecchio account? Grazie.

Om een boek op mijn ereader te kunnen zetten is het nodig dat ik deze open in adobe digital editions. Dit ging altijd prima, echter nu ineens niet meer. Ik krijg de volgende foutcode: Downloaden is mislukt. Fout bij ophalen licentie. Communicatieprobleem met licentieserver E_ADEPT_DATABASEAdobe: is er een instructie om dit probleem te verhelpen?

Amig@s A pesar de tener descargado y autorizado en mi ordenador el programa ADE, los archivos que descargo ACMS, libros, no se convierten a ese formato, sino que se descargan en PDF. Cómo puedo resolverlo. Saludos

When trying to open a book which I downloaded 11 months ago and last opened 9 months ago, on digital edition 4.5, I get the message "Activation Server Error - Code E_AUTH_NOT_READY. Is this likely to be an issue with Digital Editions or with the book itself?

ADE version 4.5.8 has serious problem in Japanese text and totally useless, it shows some part only, most of the pages are blank.I need to read my Japanese e-book on Android tablet, and the publisher formally announced to use older version 3 of ADE for mitigation.Please share the official link to installation module of ADE version 3, latest.

I would like to know how to change the cover of some of my epub books.  Same have a very bland and unexciting cover page and I would like to change it to reflect some of the cover pages found on internet sites.  Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so how to do it.  There doesn't seem to be any editing functions in ADE. 

Nach Update im iMac von Ventura auf Sonoma sind alle geladenen Bücher in Digital Editions verschwunden. Wiederherstellung wie?
