Digital Editions

I use a Nook eReader to download library eBooks from my local library.    I had to replace my old MacBook Pro running OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 and purchased a MacBook Pro running Mac OS Big Sur 11.3.1 using the new Apple M1 chip. The only version of ADE that works with Big Sur is version 4,5.   My problem is the file format for the Nook eReader is not supported by ADE 4.5. Does anyone know if Adobe will update ADE 3.0 to work with Big Sur ???

I've authorized Adobe Digital Editions on 6 various devices in the past that I currently no longer have in my possession, so right now I can't authorize my current laptop and phone. Is there something I can do to reset the authorization - erasing the past authorizations - to make room for new authorizations? At least, so that I could authorize my current laptop. Please help, and thank you very much in advance.

Corrupted files.  Since I migrated to a new IPad mini 6 from mini 4 all of my books, including  the ADE User Manual are missing pages and parts of pages. How can this be fixed? 

Hi, suddenly I can not download books in my digital edition. it says E.lic already fulfilled by another user. I don't understand this because I am the only user of my computer. Can you help me please?

Hi there, i downloaded an ebook and want to add it to my adobe digital edition library to transfer it to my ebook reader. But when i try to add it, this message comes up: "Fehler beim Abrufen der Lizenz; Lizenzserver-Kommunikationsfehler: E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN"  (i guess in english it's "licence-server communicationerror" or something like that xD)I already deinstalled and installed the adobe digital edition anew but the error message is still there. Hope you can help me

Je l'ai réinstallé et on me demande un mot de passe, mot de passe dont je ne me souviens plus. J'ai donc essayé de changer le mot de passe sur le site d'Adobe. En fait, le site d'Adobe reconnait mon mot de passe mais ADE ne reconnait pas ce même mot de passe. Pourtant j'ai essayé de me reconnecter en changeant de mot de passe plusieurs fois mais j'ai toujours le même problème.Avez-vous une idée pour m'aider ?

In ADE kann ich nicht mehr suchen. Suchfeld-Eingabe findet kein einziges Wort. Es werden auch keine Kapitel mehr angezeigt. Nur noch den Text. Ich kann die Bücher plötzlich auch nicht mehr mit Adobe Acrobat oder mit sonst einem Programm öffnen. Dort konnte ich früher wenigstens die Dateien nach Stichwörtern durchsuchen. Das geht jetzt nicht mehr. Wenn ich ein Buch im Finder öffnen will, geht ein Browserfenster auf und meldet zynisch: "Du suchst nach unbekannten Gewässern" (404-Fehler). Sorry, für solche Spässe habe ich gerade keinen Humor. Meine Büchersammlung hat einen Wert im niedrigen fünfstelligen Franken bzw. Eurobereich. Bücher werden teilweise wertlos, wenn man nicht darin suchen kann. Bis das von Adobe gelöst ist, werde ich keine digitalen Titel mehr kaufen und meinen Studenten dringend davon abraten. Wenn ich eine digitale Büchersammlung habe, möchte ich gerne Suchen Cluster über mehrere Titel zu bestimmten Themen finden. Dafür würde ich auch gutes Geld bezahlen. Stattdes

Books that I borrow from my local library don't go to the borrowed book shelf, they go to the purchased.  Because of this there is no option to return a borrowed book early.  Any suggestions?

ADE v 4.5.1.133054Windows 7We got new computers at work.I installed ADE 4.5 last week.I was able to read books with an anonymous authorization.Recently, I tried to open ADE, and got a white screen. No bookshelf layout, nothing but the "File ... Help" menu bar. A forum post suggested I reset the authorization.It took my Adobe ID and authorized the computer.But still the white screen.When I try to open one of the ACSM files, I get:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER(DRM problem... but the computer hasn't changed! They're still here! The Windows user hasn't changed, it's still me! My "download" folder, etc.)I tried resetting the authorization again, to anonymous.I get the same error message.I uninstalled ADE 4.5 and reinstalled it. It asked if I wanted my older files migrated. I've recently upgraded Adobe Digital Editions to 4.5 on my MacBook Pro (Mac OS Big Sur) and now none of my borrowed books will open. I've been using the software for a few years without trouble, borrowing numerous books from online libraries. I've just taken out a new loan from a library I use all the time, but the updated Adobe Digital Editions won't open it, saying "this file's format is not currently supported". It's just a regular encrypted Adobe PDF, like all the other books I borrow. Now none of the books I borrowed before will open either. I tried other formats to no avail. I've Authorized and Deauthorized my computer, reinstalled the software. I'm out of ideas. I tried chatting with Adobe and they said they had no experts who could answer me. Any advice would be hugely appreciated!  

I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it from a fresh installer from the website. I've restarted my computer. I've uninstalled it using chocolatey and reinstalled it using chocolatey. I cycle through books fairly heavily so I deleted my book download folder. what does the error message "check activation "mean? I keep getting this  when i try to download my e book in digital editions

I'm using Digital Editions on Windows 11 with a text book. The app is almost entirely unusable. I have it on my iPad but can't use it at the same time as GoodNotes due to the publisher restrictions. I works fine there but when I added the text book to the Windows app, it became unusable. I only loaded 2-3 pages. You are unable to switch though pages with the same method each time (sometimes I can use arrows, sometimes I can use the trackpad, sometimes I can use the scroll bar). It also seems ridiculous that Adobe would release a product that wouldn't allow you to call or chat in for support. You can only get support through the community discussion. How can I get help with these problems?

Hola!!!!tengo desde hace mucho tiempo una cuenta en Adobe Digital Editions,pero tuve que cambiar el disco duro del portátil y aunque sigo teniendo instalado Adobe Digital Editions lo cierto es que los 3 libros que tengo comprados no puedo abrirlos ni leerlos ya que no me acuerdo de mi ID de cuando creé cuenta de Adobe Digital Editions ni de la correspondiente contraseña asociada.¿Cómo puedo hacerlo para volverlos a abrir y leer,puesto que los compré?

does anyone know why ADE does not work? can open a epub book but then the pages won't go on to the next page, page number move when you go to next page but not the page.

Guten Tag Ich wollte Ebooks herunter laden. Das deutsche Buch hat funktioniert, das englische Buch kann ich nicht öffnen. Alles genau gleich, Verkäufer, ebook, adobe ... Weder der Anbieter noch Adobe kann mir helfen. Der Anbieter verweist auf Adobe und diese melden, dass sie dieses Programm nicht mehr unterstützen?! kennt Ihr das Problem?

Hallo,ich habe ein Buch im acsm Format gekauft. Zwar kann ich es mit Adobe Digital Editions öffnen, jedoch wird nur die erste Seite dargestellt. Wenn ich zu anderen Seiten scrollen will, friert das Bild ein, bzw. werden weiße Seiten angezeigt, obwohl sich der Balken bewegen lässt. Ähnlich verhält es sich, wenn ich über das Inhaltsverzeichnis zu einem Kapitel springe: erste Seite des Kapitels wird angezeigt, danach kann ich aber nichts mehr machen.  Für Hilfe wär ich sehr dankbar!VG, Fabian

We sell an ebook through Editiond Guard and ADE is the only reader we can use.  We are receiving massive complaints from customers and when we try to access our own books, old or new, they are full of errors like blank pages and unreadable text.  Help!
