Digital Editions

Unfortunately I have to use Digital Editions to access EPUB books with my public library, and Digital Editions will NOT allow me to authorize my MAC so I can access on Overdrive books.  Here's the error message I keep getting:  "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices".  This make no sense to me, since I don't have any other Adobe ID's.  I tried to get a NEW Adobe ID to use on my MAC, but was told I can't get one.  Can you please help me straighten out this mess with a step by step list of what I need to do?  This program is very frustrating and not user friendly AT ALL.  I'm very disappointed that Adobe Digital Editions is so hard to authorize and use.  

I see quite a lot of posts regarding this but few with actually helpful responses. Why am I required to use Adobe's program to use a product purchased from Google? 

Hello,I already wrote on another occasion (weeks ago) and I was not answered.Please. I have Digital Editions installed. I had it on another computer, this one crashed, and I have installed it on a new computer, I have opened my user in the Digital Editions installed. The books open but do not turn the pages. That is, in the lower viewer you see that the page turns, but the pages are not displayed, it stays on the first page of the book. And when I close and reopen, then it opens on the last page that was moved (and was previously not displayed). I add video capture, to see if it explains better. Also in case there was a problem I have attached the video.

Hello, Support chat was unable to assist and asked me to post here.When I try to authorize I get the E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS error message.Please advise what can be done. 

I have installed DE. I want to authorize for a book loned from the public library. I want to authorize. In the screen I have to choose a supplier. I set it for Adobe Id. When I try to authorize. I get the message incorrect ID/password for this supplier. I changed the password for my adobe Id to be sure (so I have to correct it on all devices for PS and LR) to b sure. And got the same message.

I am using adobe digital editions for a study book. I have been able to add notes & highlight up until today now all of a sudden these features are "greyed out".  I am beyond frustrated as Adobe support tech says they are not trained on Adobe Digital Editions because it is a "free" product.   Anyone have similar issue & how did you resolve it?

La dicitura che compariva era:"Potete autorizzare questo computer solo con ID Adobe che non sia stato già utilizzato per autorizzare altri computer o dispositivi mobili. Riprovate". Abbiamo pertanto provveduto a rimuovere le autorizzazioni sui pc eccedenti in modo che attualmente sia autorizzato su n.4 pc, e sul quinto da cui vogliamo renderlo visibile.Ciò nonostante la scritta "Potete autorizzare questo computer solo con ID Adobe che non sia stato già utilizzato per autorizzare altri computer o dispositivi mobili. Bonjour, j'emprunte sur la platforme "Lirtuel" de la Communauté Walonne. je viens d'emprunter un livre mais je n'arrive pas à le télécharger. à chaque fois il y a le message "Impossible de récupérer le document de licence". le service d'aide de Lirtuel répond que c'est un bug récurrent de ADE. ça viendrait du fait qu'ADE essaye de synchroniser (?). il m'a conseillé de désactiver cette option dans ADE. mais apparament ça ne résoud pas le problème. je n'arrive toujours pas à télécharger. y a t'il une solution? merci et bien à vous. I recently bought an epub book from Kobo (Buddhist Scriptures - Penguin).  When I tried to download it, I got this message:Error getting licenseServer communication problem: E_ADEPT_USER_AUTHI contacted Kobo customer service.  They tried downloading it and got the same error, so they concluded the problem was with the "ADE server" and directed me to Adobe.  So who is responsible for this and how do I get it fixed?

right now I face a problem, I want to transfer the book which I bought from old phone to new phone, but as I login, I couldn't find the book, last year I did the same with my iPad, there hasn't problem, so I don't know what happened, and what can I do, my account is: alinazhou@hotmail.com. Hola gente, este digital editions es una gran vaina, pido asistencia en chat y se lavan las manos, y me mandan a este foro, la duda es simple he comprado libros digitales y me pide id de adobe para leerlos, le pongo tal cual mi correo electronico y mi contraseña y sale durante 30 dias lo mismoes una verdadera desesperacion no poder leer mis libros y tener que luchar con tanto problema, indicar que nadie me da solucion o me manda un numero o ID solo me dicen es su correo, aja y por que sale ese letrero rojo!!!!, y estoy en un bucle sin salida, si alguien puede ayudarme pf

60 times I tried to authorize my computer through digital edition 4.5,  but useless to do cannot be authorized   ?  

I tried many times to authorize my dgital edition which I use it sometimes to read borrowing books from the internet archive, but I see it is impossible to authorize.  I allowed both adobe 10 and digital edition in Firewall, but no benfit I got  

Los libros comprados en BAJALIBROS me indican que los abri origianlemente con otra cuenta que la que uso en el sitio. Y no logro identificar otra cuenta que no sea esa.
