Digital Editions

Help. My Adobe Digital Editions has suddenly started acting weird.  I can no longer download epub books from my online library (eReolen). I just get the error message box -  "Connection Error Detected Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet." But I am connected to the internet! I was using version 3.0 but tried updating to 4.5. No help. I uninstalled all versions then re-installed v 4.5. Same. I then re-installed v3.0. Still no joy. Also most of my books and all my pdfs no longer appear in the app (even though they are still in the folder). What's happened??I am on a Mac OS 10.9, using the lastest Firefox browser. It's been working fine up to now. Any ideas? Thanks! Caleb 

I have installed Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) and I cannot authorized it.

I seem to be in a loop on the website -- I was trying to get this to work with my new ereader and I messed things up during the process of working on firmware updates.  I realize i need to reset my authorizations, and should contact support -- but I simply can't get to any spot on the Adobe website where that's possible. Here is the error:E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate 8:10000:10000 urn:uuid:5c96d000-b17f-4f1e-8c5b-a1b9d53187c8 Hopefully someone can help me... I can see where to "erase authorization" on my laptop, but I assume that only removes that particular authorization (to the ADE desktop app, not to all my authorized devices.) Many thanks.

Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11 on Mac OS 10.14.6 fails to open a purchased .acsm file but other purchased books open fine. Vendor trouble shooting instructions and similar on Adobe help site indicate that erase authorization and re-authorize may solve the problem.I am logged into Adobe with Adobe ID but ADE refuses the password when entered for erase authorization.What is the method to reset the ADE password?I recently changed my Adobe ID password during this trouble shooting event but that did not remedy the ADE problem.

OMG what happened to ADE4.5?!  I can install, but it won't come up with any bookshelves, it won't recognize any of my .ascm files so I have to manually open them in there and I can't transfer a book from my non-existent bookshelf to my Nook.

I can't download books using Digital Editions.  I get connection error.  can not connect to the fulfillment server, it used to work and now it doesn't. So I installed on a separate laptop (same O.S. windows 7) connecting to my hub through wifi.  Digital Editions 3.0 same problem.  Authorize computer check without I.D. "Connection Error - Digital editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet"  would not work for the life of me.  Grabbed the info from the initial laptop of my Adobe I.D. and tried Authorizing computer still get the same error. Tried again many times no luck.  uninstalled 3.0 and installed 4.5.11 same problem. I used Firefox and it worked before (although that should have no bearing on how it connects)I tried my initial laptop a few tries and it did go to an authorize page but it seemd like it was frozen doing nothing like it was just sitting there spinning it's wheels.&n

How can I change the font STYLE for Adobe Digital Edition 4.5 ? My eyes cannot see thin style type letters.  I needbold face type to read.

Hello, To use the digital books from my municipal library, I need to have ADE version 3.0 maximum, but my mac is under OS BigSur and when I install ADE 3.0 on it, I get a message when I open it error asking me to update my version of ADE. Do you have a solution for me? 

I have the app downloading and I have authorized my computer so now I'm trying to downlaod my eBooks. I'm watching a tutorial and on his screen, he has options in the top left corner like 'file' 'edit' 'view' 'help', I don't. I only have 'file' 'library' and 'help', that's it. Does anyone know why? In the tutorial, it says to use the link provided on my AVID account and search it on the app however I can't do this, at least not the way he does it in the tutorial. 

This is the worst program I have ever seen from Adobe. It does not deserve to be own or have Adobe's name associated with it in anyway. It provies zero to little function and is the WORST ereader program I have ever used. It is not user friendly. Digital Editions is more of a hinderance than help. I would never recommend this to any one even if I was paid to. Digital Editions provide very little functino other than taking up space.

I have a library of books my students use online. I want to be able to generate Adobe Digital edition files that the students can download, which have a time limit, say 21 days, after which the file expires.I have made a half dozen calls, but Adobe seems to have no idea of how to do this. Anyone here can help?There are a million pieces about reading the files, but none about creating them. 

ADE seems very bad at loading books and zoom on iphone , what are best alternatives to this app

Hi,Purchased ePUB book shows correctly, but when I get table that is longer than a page I cannot see bottom of it. One or to lines are hidden under the bottom control panel with arrows.

Hi, there,hope all is well.I met a problem that now I can't find my book(I bought in Jan 30th, it named<A Healthy Society> and more details about books: about How a Focus on Health Can Revive Canadian Democracy, Updated and Expanded EditionBy Ryan Meili; Foreword by André Picard) in ADE, and also can't download it to ADE. It may because i clicked the e-book download link before i download and configure Adobe Digital Editions , it there any solution for it? can you help me to reset it and give me one new assecc to download my new book thank you very much 

tengo dado el servicio Adobe Acrobat y Adobe Digital Editions con el usuario knandez83@hotmail.com. Estoy intentando modificar ese usuario. En Adobe Acrobat DC, no he tenido problema. Pero el Adobe Digital Editions no me permite modificarlo. Tampoco me deja acceder con un nuevo usuario, al entrar, ya me sale el usuario knandez83@hotmail.com. ¿Como hago para cambiarlo?
