Hello! I import a new OBJ or scene and then want to save the file, the program shows the "unable to save" window. I tried to download older versions and the error occurred again. I tried to work on another computer and still got the same error. Help me please!

In the old version of dimension you could set the ppi to a specific number - in this version it only exports as 72ppi. The text on the images I've applied to objects looks so bad, and these are images we're hoping to use in a catalogue. Has this feature been permenently removed?? Exporting is 72ppi and then resizing to 300ppi isn't a great solution for this. 

Hi, I have a weird problem working on my older files in Dimension 4. In the design panel, the real-time rendering doesn't visualize the nearest objects or cut them, even the ground grid gradually disappears unless I zoom out a lot, as you can see in the video. If I turn on Ray Tracing preview the objects are normally rendered, but if I select them the transformation arrows are not visible unless I zoom out. This way I can't work on my projects.I'm running Dimension on a M1 Ultra Mac Studio.Did someone else face this same issue and find a way to solve it?

In the latest version of Dimesion (3.0.3) when I apply a graphic (.ai file with multiple artboards) as Decal, changing the artboard, change also the decal applyed ad the background.In Stager, the same feature  works correctly, I think it's a bug of Dimension.See the workflow in the 3 steps here attacched. One artboard is for the grafic background and another for the logo, but changing the artboard, they change together.The only work around is to place a different Illustrator file! But I have all the artboards in the same file and in the previous version this operation worked well.Thank you for your reply.Michela 

Hello,I have a MacBook Pro, with 8Gb of Memory, 2.3Hz Processor, and more than 5Gb of free space on the disk. I'm trying to make a simple render of a pen I designed some time ago. When I did it, with the same machine, I did the render including 13 more objects in the scene, I'm just trying to render each item separately to make a simple animation of the items appearing, but now, the render is being cancelled automatically. I incremented the size of the final picture even doe, but the thing is that I was seeing one of the cancelled renders, and it finished, I mean, I saw the count down 'til zero, and suddenly the image was gray, with nothing to show or even to save. So, can you help me understanding this?What should I do? Is possible to make this render with my machine specifications in high quality (5760x3240px)?Thanks in advance.

Did Adobe remove a bunch of features from Dimension, or is my software on the fritz? It seems like everytime I open this software, something has been removed or hidden away somewhere. How do you resize the canvas? It looks like the properties panel and canvas label are both completely gone. There is no way to select the scene or change the size of the canvas. How do you add a background image? The image selection button is gone.  

After successfully rendering a scene, the PNG saves correctly to the location, but the render status says 'Cancelled' and the export settings is greyed out with the Cancel All button available.This is occurring across our entire team on updated versions of Dimension. The only way to fix it so far is to save and reopen the project file to reset the rendering feature.

Hello, I'm desperately trying to apply a bump map on a paper box to simulate a blind emboss / letterpress effect. The best I solution I found so far is applying a normal map on the Base Surface Opacity that (sometimes) creates the illusion of a bump map with my texture.  Is there a way to do it correctly or more realistically?   After the last update that Adobe Dimension had,I am experiencing a very bizarre bug. Basically Dimension is giving some strangecrashes and every element I put in it is completely ugly. I don't even know howto explain what this is, I've been having this problem for 2 months, please help me.  

I'm a beginner in dimension. I would like to ask for some advice about what tutorials/keywords I need to study to learn how to do an effect similar to this photo?

Just simply imported 3d model 

I am currently using Dimension 4.0.3.  I just downloaded Dimension, and I am very new to the software. However, I have previous experience with 3D modelling software like Blender, SketchUp, 3DsMax and AutoCAD. I picked up Dimension to explore packaging design. When I looked through the available YouTube videos, I could see that everyone had a lot of tools and options. But nothing will show up when I click on an object to modify the size and materials UVs. I can't modify anything. Is this a bug in the new version? Should I downgrade? I can't seem to find any answers on the internet as well.     

The work I do with Dimension requires me to show the same models with different color mockups in one scene. Prior to the big update I used to just duplicate my models and quickly change color in the duplicate, but now every time I copy an item, all of the materials are linked. For grouped objects with the same color but different textures, it's super inconvenient to have to break each material and reassign a new color to each individual object. 🥲 Is it possible to add a feature to either disable automatically linked materials when copying items or an option to break all linked materials? (And if this feature already exists, could someone point me in the right direction? 😊)

I am trying to create a dual texture on a single surface. Its a product bottle rendering. The label is Matte with Spot uv. So some is matte and there are shiny features. Something like this. Anyone have a solution? Can it be done in Dimension/PS.

When I use a PNG with a transparent background as decal, the decal appears to be aliasing. If I use a PNG with a solid background the image comes out crystal clear. Does anyone know how to solve this? I need to use the PNG as a decal instead of adding the image as a color because I loose the ability to effect the glow and matte effect on the white areas. I can't add a decal with a colored background because again I loose the ability to add glow to the white areas in addition to the metallic object material and matte lettering (as seen in the green below). In the image below, the green shows what happens when I use a decal with a colored solid background and the blue shows what happens when I use a decal with a transparent background (look at the letters). Images for both are the same exact size. These images are just a screen shot of the render preview but the same thing is shown when the actual image is rendered.  

 Con la nueva actualización de dimension 4.0 no se puede importar archivos existentes de versiones anteriores, siempre aparece el siguiente error y pide que se reinice el programa.Se puede abrir el archivo directamente sin problema aunque sea versión anterior más no importar.

Hello, since version 4..., the transform tool has not been working correctly with a mouse, only from the panel. I have tried everything, including deleting the cache, restarting, reinstalling, updating everything (Win, drivers, Adobe...), and cleaning the registries, but it seems like a bug. This problem did not exist for me before version 4. When I hover the mouse over the arrows or squares, the color (active button) does not change. Oddly, when I start a new file, it sometimes works but only for a limited time and with some basic shapes.The active button color doesn't change when hovering the mouse over the arrows or squares. Oddly, it sometimes functions upon starting a new file, but only temporarily and with basic shapes. The red "x" indicates non-functionality, and it's not responsive to the mouse. After verification (with any other mouse), the mouse and drivers are not the issue. My system specifications include Windows 10 Pro, an i7 5820K CPU with 6 cores and 12 logical processo

Does Dimension work under macOS 14 (Sonoma)?

I saved a file, then about 5 minutes later needed to get back into the file to make some edits. Every time I try to open the file, I am met with a prompt telling me Dimension is "Unable to Open Document", and requests that I post the Log info here so that you can diagnose the issue. I have included that log info.

Our team work directly from Lucid Link storage platform, ensuring work is constantly backed up. 99.9% of the time, this is seamless and lag-free. However, I had a Dimension file that refused to fully launch. Here's a screengrab - it's confidential work, so only revealing a relevant snippet. As you can see, the top elements are displaying correctly (this is a POS display unit). But, the packaging is all black, so graphics missing. Also, the App palettes to the right weren't populating with Properties / Actions etc. I moved the file off Lucid and onto my desktop. It launched perfectly fine! Thought I'd share in case someone had a similar issue. Relieved I didn't have to rebuild!  

Hi, i'm trying to export a UV for a project. I drag a cube into my scene and go to Object > Export UV. I follow the promps but no UV file is created. Does anyone else have this problem?I've tried this with a few differetn shapes and models that are available in Dimension and haven't had any luck. I've also tried Generating the UV's before Exporting and still no file is generated. If you have any ideas that would be great.
