In theory I dont think Id have to, but the one time I closed dimension while it was processing the file finished with just a blank background. Even when I have it rendering in the cloud dimension still uses a ton of system resources on my 2017 MBP, so Id love to just close it and check on the process when Im ready.
Anyone having these issues and know how to solve. At first it was happening in my higher res renders (2400px and up). Now it's appearing in all renders no matter what pixel size. Super frustrating as I'm now having to Photoshop them all out. My renders are pretty simple. Basically a bar graph. It's super frustrating to have this happening with no resolve.
Hello. I created a floorplan in Dimension. Using a mix of simple cube, pyramid and plane elements. I need to convert the file to an OBJ, but all I get when opening the OBJ in Photoshop is the H, which itself was imported into Dimension. When deleting the sign first and then exporting – I get a weird cube. any help would be appreciated. thank you.
Please help.Where is the grid and objects?Thank you all!
Dimension's render on GPU or CPU?
Hi all, I'd like to model some wine bottles / glasses but unsure what method to use with Dimension as far as the liquid goes.I assume the liquid should be modeled as a separate object... and would like to hear from anyone who's done this successfully! thanks
download the file this is the Octahedron from Adobe tutorial on lighting https://helpx.adobe.com/dimension/how-to/optimize-lighting.html?playlist=/services/playlist.helpx/products:SG_DIMENSION/learn-path:get-started/set-header:ccx-designer/playlist:orientation/en_us.json&ref=helpx.adobe.com note; can scale upto 1000 on import to Dimension
Is there a way to make the field bird's eye view? Also, is there a way to make the field perfect isometric view? Or does every view have to have a convergence point? Thanks. EDIT:So to give more details, basically I'm working on a stationary letterhead business card mockup. I have two scenes, one in bird's eye and one in isometric view. I dropped in their logo into Dimension hoping to line it up nicely with the background image of each scene but it's not quite right. The logo would look like a physical plastic sculpture object next to the stationary objects. For the bird's eye view version the logo won't lay flat. It's forced into a bit of a perspective lean. Same for the isometic scene, the logo sort of pinches into a slight perspective rather then the exact slant degrees on the top and bottom of the logo. I was hoping to use Dimension because I like the shadow casting it creates with the custom light source effecting the entire scene. So getting perfect top view renders and the
Hi, I'm getting more familiar with Adobe Dimension, and having got the hang of creating 3D models, I'd like to create my own materials/textures. I know there is another thread on this, but it doesn't outline how to do this from scratch - something I think would be useful for everyone. The video below was useful to a point, but is an older interface and becomes irrelevant at the point when he brings the images back to Dimension as the options in the properties menu are different. Also, the textures he creates here have to be applied manually in a step-by-step way and would be better if they would appear in the library with the default materials.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPWR6ke9Nls All help welcome! Thank you
Hi everyone. Can I create a model using Dimension? I would like to create a fluor bag, and then make it beautiful using texture I know I can download a *.obj model but I want to learn how to do it.If I can't do it with dimension what software from ADOBE can help me to create model in obj file ready to import?
I Installed Adobe Dimension recently. It worked fine on that day. The next day, i open it and the canvas is just a grey screen and frozen, no assets or grid apear and it frezes on a perpetual "loading" when i try to place assets and models. The program from that point becoms un responsive and has to be force closed through task manager. [edits images added so people can see them without downloading ussnorway]
Hello!I'm trying to render an image of a CD case model I created in C4D. The case itself is made out of paper, while the CD sits in a plastic insert of sorts. The plastic part is meant to be see-through but no matter what I do, each time I render it, it appears "cloudy" I work with a 1.5-1.7 index of refraction for plastic, and 95% translucence (when i try to go any higher, it makes the circle in the centre of the CD look too bright). Most of my test renders were only done using a HDRI map, but I tried using artificial sunlight as well once and it didn't fix the issue (it only made it worse). The images above show the clearest example of what I've been able to achieve. My guess is that either some variables in the plastic material settings are causing this, or maybe it's the noise reducing algorithm (if that's the case, I guess there's nothing I can do). Please help, I've been struggling with this for 2 days now and I feel like I ran out of ideas a day ago.&nbs
Hello,Is there a possibility that I can create a scene and then add smoke on front of it in PS and then bring it back to DN so it adds the reflection of those edits? Here's an example of what I want to do. I would like that smoke to be reflected on the object.
Hi.I know there has been posts about this but there has not being any updates from Adobe team on when we can start selling 3D object for Dimensions. You guys have any idea on when we can start doing that?Have some nice 3D waiting to download. I think this would boost the usage of Dimensions if there was more models on the market to create greate ads and more.Regards,Koolander
For me, Dimension hasn't started for a long time and Adobe doesn't react. When I start the program, the start window freezes. Since I pay every month for CC, I also want a working software.I am using OSX 10.13.6
Dimension freezes repeatedly at exactly 56% during rendering. has anyone else experienced this / have a solution for freezes during rendering?
Hi there, I need to create a 3D render as shown in the attached screenshot. My model is from a CADCAM system, and in .step format.Questions1. Is Adobe Dimension the "best" Adobe program to create a render in?2. In order to achieve the renderings shown, is there a steep learning curve? Or will it be quite easy? (I am not a graphic designer)3. Could anyone point me in the direction to some documentation where rending is explained in Dimension? Goodness.. I'm really hoping this is going to be easy. Many thanksMichelle
Bonjour, Je n'arrive pas à obtenir un rendu d'aussi bonne qualité en local que sur le Cloud. Est-ce que quelqu'un connaît une solution pour avoir un rendu en local de bonne qualité? Merci
Hi !During holidays, our school has installed the 2019 version of Adobe software, and we were very disappointed not to find the Dimension software in the package we can install. Every software is available, except Dimension. If we want Dimension, it is available only as an individual software, and we would have to pay a lot for a single soft…As we were teaching Dimension last year, we are rather disappointed…
Hi—This might be a PS issue, but since it shows in Dimension I figured I'd post here.So I made a bottle 3D model in PS consisting of three pieces (bottle, content and top). I did my best in setting the extrusion depth to remove the hole in the middle when bending 360 degreesto make the cylinder shapes. This seems fine in PS, but when importing the finished OBJ-file in Dimensionthere you clearly see a hole (I think) throughout the middle of the model. I've tried and tried for a couple of days now without any luck in avoiding this so now I turn to the Internet for help. It might be simple, but it's driving me nuts. Please see image for reference. The grey "hole" in the middle is what I want to get rid of.
I have downloaded the trial version of adobe dimension. when starting the application it freezes at loading application. is it what supposed to be in "try before you buy" situation 😄 ?? My specs are: (Moved to the Dimension forum by Moderator)
Hello! I really need to pull the bill of materials from Adobe Dimension to generate real-time cost for the customer. Does anyone know if the software has API?
Hi. Is there a "room" model that is downloadable for Adobe Dimension? We are trying to do something basic: Be in a room with posters on walls.... That's it.
Also eine kleine Palette an Custom Konfigurationen.
I have the creative cloud along with all of Adobe programs. I needed to make a 3D text and open the dimension program. I am unable to find any way to create 3D text. Is this program not able to create 3D text? I know it does I just can not find it. 3D text is the most basic feature available on any 3D program. I have spent more time trying to figure this out and could have just downloaded a free 3D program to do this. I am just not wanting to accept that this program does not have this function. Can someone please tell me how to access this?
