HelloI'm starting with DImension, but I can't resolve this problem, when render finishes, the picture goes too bright, I try many things but nothing for change brightnessHave you got any idea?Thanks

Can't open obj files in dimension.   Is there a hardware problem?Have old mac pro running 10.14.3Have AMD Fire Pro 500,6 core intel xeon E5 16 gb memory       

I do packaging design and have been needing to add a 3d software to my tool box. I just recently discovered Dimension and love it, however the products I work with are custom designs and I need more control than what Dimension gives me. I would love to build the base to the products elsewhere but light and stage in Dimension. Looking for recommendations on a 3D software that pairs well with Dimension and is not extensively difficult to learn the basic fundamentals?Thanks!

I wonder if my system is not a good configuration for Dimension. Simple object, water splash (stock effect), photo backdrop, denim texture mapping (stock effect) scaled to 5 times density. Rendering at high quality PSD. Taking 8 hours and 44 minutes to render an image. Doesn't that seem rather long?My specs:Windows 10 Pro64 biti7-6900K CPU @ 3.2GHz64GB RAMAsus X99 Deluxe IIEVGA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB

Hello, I am *very* new to this. I don't have plans to use this program for long term, but I would like to use it for a couple of random little projects.I have downloaded the free trial version, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to upload an image from my own computer to edit. I click the "file" button, then "open"; and none of my pictures appear to be available. All of my files are empty. Why is that? 

I realise this is a common topic, but does anyone know when the resolution for decal import will be increased??I'm happy with this render with the exception of the bloody decal...It's so pixelated...

Hi allI like many, am having render problemsUntil recently I have been creating complex OBJs using Photoshop, but have created much better and quick OBJs using Shapr3D. Everything has been fine until I render glass in Dimension. Does anyone have a fix for this?ThanksMarcus

I am tagging the surfaces of a model with various materials. However, I've noticed that some parts of the model have multiple materials assigned, like this...I assume the highlighted one is the material actually selected and shown in the editor and rendering. However, I don't see any way of removing the unwanted/extra ones. (There is no "trash can" icon or other means of deleting.)I would like to clean up my model so I have only one material showing for each surface or part. Please advise on how to do that.Thanks!

Hello there, i have issue on my Adobe Dimension CC, menu for file,edit,view and etc at above of application is missiing/disappeared , how to fix it? i can't import material,3d obj, background, undo or redo without that feature, please help me

I am having a similar problem. In my case, my render of a model that came from a STEP file lacks all detail in the render (i.e., the detail that is clearly visible when working in the Design view).DESIGN VIEW:RENDERED VIEW:I've tried cranking up the lighting all the way, moving the lighting around, etc., but it always comes out as solid black.FYI -- all my other projects originated from a SLDPRT 3D model or an IGES 3D model, and those always come out great as photo-realistic images with lots of clarity and detail. However, this one converted from a STEP 3D model has been very difficult.Thanks for any help you can provide on this.

Hello,The rendered file (right) seams overexposed compared to the file I'm working on (left).I tried all the qualities, psd and png.Any idea ?

I am building in Sketchup and importing into Dimension.I have one model created as described which uses multiple instances of a single component. When I bring this into Dimension I can add a graphic and it is applied identically across all instances. This is great and the desired action.However, I have another model, created in the same way whereby the application of a graphic only appears on that one instance.I have noticed that on working version the names in the scene panel are all the same (model 26) whereas in the 'broken' version each instance has a different model name.I can't for the life of me work out the determining factor as to whether they are linked or not linked. It's not that they are all components in Sketchup as you would think.Any ideas?

I'm having issues when I apply a Normals map. I created a seamless marble texture in photoshop that's 2048x2048, which I used for my color map. Then I applied a roughness map which was made using the newly created color map, adjusted in photoshop. Finally I generated a normals map. All in photoshop, all 2048x2048 jpgs. When I apply the color and roughness map to a default object from Dimension, I get good render results, but once I add the Normals map, I get a strange tile-like patchwork on the surface. This is more prominent in other models with more geometry. For this test, I used a default sphere model from Dimension.  I did not attempt to Generate UVs under the Object menu, that actually makes the effect worse when I do, and my render engine is set to V-Ray. What am I doing wrong? (See screenshots below)

Just downloaded Dimensions 2.1 and opened for the first time. I get a message saying to switch to my discreet Nvidia GPU. It says to:Right-click the Dimension application icon.In the context menu, click Change Default Graphics Processor.Set the NVIDIA card as the default GPU for Dimension.exe.There is no such option when I right-click on the app.

Can I apply more than one material to an object? For example, I have a cube and would like one face of the cube to have a different material than the other faces.

Team,I'm seeing if our company (discover with Dr. Cool) can use Dimensions for Point of Sale assemblies.I'm brand new but completed the Lynda.com Dimension Essential Training: The Basicsand need to know where to find out how to set the resolution and size of my artwork so that it "comes in to scale". it is all glitchy. This is a 5' structure and the I can't get artwork onto it accurately...When I assign an image to be the material, it is not at all precise in placement. Matching the die-line to the art proves impossibleWhen I apply a decal (actual size 2'x3') there are only giant pixels appearing and the render preview just blurs them.There must be information about how to size my artwork to properly import into Dimension.

Hello,According to the Adobe web product site... they indicate that Dimension cc currently supportsimporting the following formats shown below.  Is it possible that an update has occurred whichnow allows it to import glTF/glb file formats?  i.e. and if not, can anyone share if they know it isthe works for a future release?Dimension lets you import Autodesk FBX, STL, Sketchup SKP, and OBJ files.

I need help with a strange graphic application distortion.The below image is part of a model from Sketchup. It has a deep cut which is seemingly affecting the way the graphic behaves when applied. The graphic is exactly the same size and shape as the model (tried as transparent png and jpg), so it should perfectly cover the whole side. Instead it is being distorted by an invisible diagonal line between the bottom corners and the internal curves.I created a super simple but similar shape to test with with the same results. Any ideas welcome.Thanks all

Hello! I need help! I am trying to essentially wrap this graphic around the bag to give effect of black on black. The bag would be matte black, while the graphic would be glossy. I'd also have variations of the bag so the side panels would be bold contrasting colors, while the front remains the traditional black on black print. So I want to format the graphic to the correct dimensions so it is proportional to each plane.

Hi everyoneWhen I had Dimension V1.0 installed it worked perfectly/After the update to V2.0 it starts to launch and then nothing.I have done all the necessary i.e:1. Uninstalled using Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool2. Manually removed all preferences and references to old files3. Reinstalled etc etcNo luck. Hello,I'm having some trouble getting my flat dieline to apply properly to the model.  No matter how many times I try the flat file will not wrap properly around the model.  I try to scale and move the outline up to fit and even scale the model down, but nothing seems to work.  I ended up just placing each side on separately, which works for now but I need to know why it's not working.  Is there a specific file type that the dieline needs to be in?  Is there a better/more specific way to ensure that the model is the correct size other than the x y z?Please help!!Best,Ashley

I was working in a poly-heavy document and when I tried to save Dimensions popped up a "There was an error saving this file..." I figured it was due to it being very VRAM heavy so I shut down every app in my computer besides Dimensions. It could be saved.But now everytime I try to pop that save file up it gets stuck at "Loading... 90%" without moving forward. It is a document I invested hours in and would love to get it back. This is not the first time it occurs. At this rate the 7-day trial has convinced me not to get this software until it's much, much, better developed and the basic troubles are fixed.
