Lag after clicking on another program and coming back to DW

I just started having an issue with Dreamweaver lagging for a couple of seconds after I return from another application. Example: I copy some text from an email and then go to past it into the code view. (I'm in developer mode) This obviously slows down work quite a bit.  Has anyone experienced this and do you have a solution? Thank you!!

Highlight error background red

Hello,With the last version of Dreamweaver (21.1), is it possible to put texte in white on a red background instead of the simple text in red ( line 478 ) ?  Thank You !

Not able to open Dreamweaver on Big Sur Mac OS 11.01

Having trouble with Big Sur and Adobe software. Can not open at all latest version of Dreamweaver. Told to downgrade OS. which system is best keeping my other apps functional. Getting bad reviews for Catalina and not sure if Mohave will work with the newest model of Mac. Anyone else having issues with Adobe products. Thank you.

Reducing width < 100% shrinks text viewed on

Website doesn't fill the screen

Dreamweaver file path errors after i had my Mac 11.2.3 OS Big Sur

I have just had my Mac returned under warenty from a Adobe Mac Store I bought it from. I have had issues since day 1. They found after 25 days on the test bed as it was all intermittant faults, a very hard issue to fix.They found a heat sink commponent failing  and the Drive was changed from a HD and SSD  to a SSD only drive.I have now found that when I manage my local documents folder where I store my web sites i wotrk on it cannot not see the files.On inspection i have found a string issue that I cannot resolve !! Original path on my dreamweave back ups is:-MAC HD: users/les keen/ documents/ web site name. The new path on my dreamweave back ups is:-MAC SSD: MAC HD/users/les keen/ documents/ web name. For obvious reasons the file structure is failing.Dreamweaver will not let me edit the string.How do you change a MANAGE SITE file structure when you go to reload a back up folder from before the drive was replaced.Thank you Les

Problem with broken links panel.

Hi people, I'm new to Dreamweaver and am having a real problem with the broken links panel. I go into 'site' then 'site options' then click 'check links sitewide'. The 'broken links' panel appears and shows me my broken links. I click on the later part of a broken link and the folder icon appears and then....this is where the trouble happens.... I click on the folder icon and the 'select file' panel appears. However if I click anywhere on this panel, it just disappears from the screen, This driving me crazy.

Nancy O'Shea responds to questions of this type that are about efforts to install older versions of Dreamweaver by saying: CS4, CS5 and CS6 are on life support. But they can still be activated providing you have the following:1. original media (disks or downloads) you received at purchase and a way to read them,2. a legitimate serial number for that version, language and platform (Win/Mac),3. an older operating system that can support legacy 32-bit apps.   I have the original media disks, a legitimate serial number, and my Win10 can support legacy 32-bit apps (at least I think so; I had no trouble installing many of my other old applications). When I try to install that license, it asks me for the serial number for the product I upgraded from. That program was Dreamweaver MX and it is too old to be recognized. unable to see the changes in live site

i did a test and i get: dreamweaver succesfully connected to your web server. However the changes i have made in dreamweaver are not on my live site. I called the web server Site ground and i was told it is Dreamweaver's issue. I need help

My uploads don't show on the web

For many years I happily used DW 11.5 until I could no longer update my system on my iMac. Now I have a new iMac running Big Sur, and the latest version of Dreanweaver. iPower is my host. When I upload pages all seems to go well except I don't see the changes I've made on the web. If I use my outdated version of DW on my outdated iMac I can upload normally and then see the changes on the web. My skills are limited. I am a painter and show my art work with Dreamweaver. Chatting with iPower hasn't been much help. Do you have a suggestion? Thank you.

Dreamwaeaver to support new Gitup restrictions - no passwords accepted.

Mac OS _ Catalina: Dreaweaver 20 opens but spinning trying to load, 21.X crashes on trying to open

Dreamweaver wont even open for me on Mac. Version 21. X I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling. Uninstalled version 21 and only 20... HELP!Can I install version 19?

Ive had nothing but trouble posting to the forum recently. You hit 'post' and it doesnt respond so you hit it again and nothing, then this stupid message appears (see below ): The forum doesn't work on tablet. When you insert the cursor into the response editor it jumps to the top everytime and you have to scroll down to find where the cursor is located. The response editor is about 1 cm high and accomodates about 2 lines of text viewable. This forum is absolutely appauling, the worst forum software ever, its a nightmare. Adobe are being had over by whoever sold them this shite!! You cant type beneath the red box which the text below is in (red box has been removed by the forum) only inside it because you cant get the cursor passed it - absolute trash!!  Correct the highlighted errors and try again.Post flooding detected (community received posts of a unique message more than 1 times within 3,600 seconds

Can't open/save files on Synology NAS: Mac M1

Hello,I am on a mac Mini M1 and I am using DW v21.1 via Creative Cloud (so DW is running on Rosetta2)I have found that it is not possible to open and even save a file from / to a synology NAS (DS218 +) via DW.the error message that is displayed when I try to open a file located on the NAS is that it is not found and when I try to save a file on the NAS the error message is : an unknow error occured while accessing (path to folder on NAS)With Photoshop and Indesign (latest version) it works without problems.Via finder, I can explore my network drive without problems.I have the same environment on a Windows 10 machine and I don't have this problem accessing the Nas via DW.Guess it must be because of Dw running on Rosetta 2 Do any of you know this problem? Thanks in advance.

"All Sources" has disappeared

Hi,  I was just coming to the end of a site when the CSS designer stopped working. Within "Sources" the "All sources" tab has gone altogether and I can't select either of the other two styles within sources. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I tried to google it, but couldn't find a solution. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  It's quite likely that I just pressed the wrong button somewhere as it happened very suddenly, but now I can't do anything. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Couldn't open file after dropping onto top bar of DW CS6

Hi there,There is some glitch in the program, i think, while i'm not able to open file (php, html or js) after dropping it onto to top bar of the panel. At start when file is "grabbed" the cusror is changed to "plus sign" - this is normal behavior, but after that, when the file was dropped onto that top bar nothing happened. As the result the referrenced file s not opened. This is so frustrating,and i have to go thru the long way - menu,open file, browse etc.Is there any explanation of this program behavior?

Page from DW template not displaying properly on iPad

I've created a page from a DW template, the page looks great on a desktop, on an iphone in both landscape and portrait and on the ipad in landscape but on the ipad in portrait orientation it looks like this. Bootstrap navbar not working on iPhone

Email Template Text not viewing correctly

Hi Guys, Im working on an email template for mailchimp, but in the VIEW> Split > Code-Design view the Headlines are not viewing correctly. The headline text is red and has appeared as GD(at)CDQ as the snapshot enclosed. (It actually just says HEADER in the live view which is correct) Anyone know why this is happening? Appreciate the help.

Salutations Everyone,I had DW 2017 or somewhere around that date and I uploaded the newest version.I opened and all my settings where switch to foreign gibirish to me today.If this has been a subject of the past, please forward the link.If not, help needed to get my old screen back.I use to open a html page and split it, oon the design part - highlight some wordsin the code  section, that aea would highlight as wellat the very bottom - I could choose "_blank", the hyper link address, oh and headline font size and type and some other cool stuff.In the begining Adobe would would show a window saying my original settings are on line and i could retrieve them.That does not show anymore and I'm lost. Some help please, LIONELL

How do I get DW to save backup versions of the files I am editing?

How do I configure DW to save backups of files, so I can rollback to a previous version of any file (HTML, CSS etc.)? I don't see anything in preferences.

Save All Files Error in Preview

I have developed a small webpage to test and when I do it gives me the Save All Files Error. I have hit the save all files feature several times and do have a site completed. There are no red lines in any of the code. Any help is appreciated. Mark
