Dreamweaver

[Branched & moved to new topic.]   I'm having the same problem in preview mode. My code and content show up but all attempts to reattach my stylesheet are to naught.

I purchased a copy of DW CS6 8 years ago from the Adobe Store. I just bought a new PC after my old one collapsed and I am trying to install my copy of DW on the new PC. I can still find my order in the Adobe store. I still have the emails I received along with the registration code but when I try to install it I'm getting a message from the installer about it not being able to find CS3, CS4 or CS5 on my machine.  It may be that it was an upgrade I purchase. I cannot remember but obviously I don't have any of the older products on my new machine. How do I get round this?  

Is it not possible to download older versions of Dreamweaver, such as CC 2014?

Hi, I am trying to create HTML e-mails, but I run into the problem that it will not look the same on dark mode e-mail clients.   I tried the prefer-color-scheme css class without success.  I also tried DW's e-mail templates, but the color reverses when I send an email to a dark mode platform. Every day I receive marketing e-mails with black fonts and white backgrounds, so I know it can be done. (I use dark mode) Any idea how to do this?  Honestly If I could get a template it would save me a lot of trouble. Thanks

In the below image the tabbed panel has this huge blue box that I can't seem to reduce.  It's supposed to wrap around the tabs that are created.  But, as you can see, this is not so.  I've tried editing the ui code to no avail.  And I keep getting an error on line 15 that says I'm missing a right brace.  But, when I insert the right brace, the error just gets bigger and my blue box disappears.  Here's the link to the web page where I have it posted:  https://www.lotcs.org/forms2.html.  If someone would please let me know how to fix this, I'd greatly appreciate it.  So far, I've spent like 5 hours on the problem.  Spry was much easier to code with.  Maybe Adobe will bring back an enhanced version of Spry.  Jquery is not friendly...at least not to me!Thanks,Dale Iannello  

Hi all.I have many entries to change using 'find and replace in files'.My question is:Can I use a wildcard in my searches?For example * inside "" .If wanting to change hundreds of different entries after data-lightbox="*" , where * is the variable and then replace all the finds with say "new entry" data-lightbox="new entry".

This popup now appears when I try to connect with Remote Server asking for "To allow this, enter the "login" keychain password". I have no idea what password this is, nor do I understand why this is now necessary to use Dreamweaver.Charles

I've noticed lately Dreamweaver CC 19.1 has been slow to respond on my Mac (OS 10.14.4). Scrolling large php files can be slow and jerky; the scroll bar can suddenly jump to the beginning or end of the file. When I switch from a different application (e.g. Chrome) back to Dreamweaver I get the spinning rainbow wheel for a few seconds and sometimes there is a big lag in typing text and then seeing in on screen.I like Dreamweaver, it's easy to use, I like the code-hinting, I've been using it for years. But at this stage, I'm happy to just spend a bit of time customising myself with an alternative like Textastic - which would be a little annoying but it would also mean no ongoing subscription payments.I've noticed this issue following the update to CC 2019. Last year in November I started a course in which we had to learn the ins and outs of Dreamweaver. It was already installed on the pcs when we walked into the classroom. We had to choose "install activated version" and then "sign in later" option and didn't see any indication that it was a 30-day trial version. I didn't see a Creative Cloud Desktop app either. We were using the 2015 version and I downloaded online to use on my laptop a home. It was working fine and back then I didn't even know the CC Desktop app or AAM even existed. A few weeks ago I got a new laptop and now when I try to run Dreamweaver 2015, it says the AAM is corrupted or missing and I need to reinstall it. I installed AAM and now when I open DW it reminds me that I'm using a trial version. My main concern is that I don't want AAM and the CC Desktop app because they consume of my laptops memory. Why do I need them now when I didn't need them back when I was using DW on my old laptop and workstation in class? 

I have CS5 and cant install it on my new computer.Started with MX and I need to install that first. But Adobe says i cant register the product so it is stopping me from installing CS5.I called them and some woman in India acted like she couldnt here me!  so I hung up.

I am trying to get the text in the second column to center align vertically. Does anyone have some tips on sizing a hero image that spans 100%, is not too heavy and works well on mobile? Thanks in advance for any tips. 

Hi allI normally boot up my MacBook from an external SSD. Lately, I've started to use a new M1 chip Macbook which does not support external drive booting but will allow you to access files and applications on the external drive. However, when I boot up Dreamweaver (21) from the external drive, all my site definitions are gone.Does anyone know where the previous site definitions are stored in Dreamweaver 21 and how I might try a re-import? Many thanks

I am a beginner of Dreamweaver, but currently working on revising university website pages. I found there are pages I can't  insert a carousel. I can make carousel on the new HTML page but it does not work when I paste the code on the bad page. I can insert carousel in the original page, but when I link the page to other pages and close, then carousel got broken into 3 pictures.  Even I comment out all java script, carousel does not appear in a proper shape. The HTML of the bad page with broken carousel is attached. Greetings, I've been trying (and failing) to find directions on how to sync snippets between two computers. I've received many directions on syncing, none of which synced the snippets in the snippets panel. The Site definitions are also not synced, but that's less important. A little help, please.  Thank you!
