Dreamweaver

Hi I'm using dreamweaver from last two years for coding purpose. Two days ago when i was using dreamweaver i update dreamweaver. After this i shut down my laptop. But next day when i open my laptop and try to run my dreamweaver but dreamweaver does not work properly. I don't know what is the reason behind it. I have urgent need of dreamweaver  beacuse i have to do my next project. Please guide me what is the reason of this problem. I will be very thankful to you. Thanks again! 

When inserting cursor and trying to edit css text, DW deletes other text and operates more like a terminal than a text editor.  It is useless for correcting CSS .... anyway to turn off this "feature!"? 

No matter what version Dreamweaver, updated or not. When clicking on the view from my computer or on my server the css file does not work. Whether it be the starter template or personally coded.  

Has anyone else experienced FTP errors with recent updates?  Last weekend I did an update to a website that I manage and Dreamweaver is giving me all sorts of connection failure errors when I try to upload the changed files.  It doesn't matter if I use the live server or the test server.Nothing has changed with my hosting server and I can access the FTP server using Filezilla.I don't have an SSL Certificate for the site as it is an information only site for a music club that does not collect people's data or sell anything.

After update i can run Dreamweaver only once. When i close program i have to reboot pc to run it again (for one time again).I reinstall it and the same problem occurred again. Still working slow.

Yesterday Dreamweaver worked perfectly. All my keyboard shortcuts worked, my workspaces worked for two monitors... you get the picture. Today - a new version of Dreamweaver 2021...Offering to sync with the settings in the cloud... As usualy IT JUST DOES NOTHING. All my settings are lost AGAIN. Surely there must be a better way of doing this. If Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign can keep all my settings why doens't Dreamweaver? I have clicked on Sync with the cloud endlessley and restarted all to no avail. Any ideas?

A file debug.log keeps jumping into one of my folders.  I have tried deleting it.  I even deleted the whole folder and started the page over but it came right back. What is it and why is it jumping into only one folder? Can I get rid of it?

Fresh install of DW 2020 v 21.0. When attempting to launch, I get this error:I have uninstalled/reinstalled to no affect.Every other CS application is working fine - the error is limited to Dreamweaver.Please assist. Running on Windows 10 

I'm trying to synchronize application settings, preferences, keyboard shortcuts etc. from previous Dreamweaver version 20.2 to the latest version 21.0. (on the same Mac). I have followed the user guide instructions regarding Sync Settings but I have had no success so far. Any help appreciated.

I am having issues with getting spell check to work for certian HTML documents. DW 20.2 build 15263  I have certain documents that, in Design view, present a blank white window. They look fine in Live mode. When I try to spell check the documents that produce the blank white window (mindful that spell check works only in Design view) I get a dialouge box that says "Spelling check complete." The trouble is that no spelling check has taken place because none of the mispelled words in the document are flagged. I have created a simple HTML document as a test. That document does appear appropriately in Design view and spell check will flag mis-spelled words in it as it should.  So I guess that 1) Some aspect of the code in the files that present a blank white window in Design view is breaking Design view. 2) Spell check is not working when/because Design view is broken. I'll note that one the troublesome files makes use of Google fonts and when I

If Dreamweaver is open and has focus, and then I click another application in the windows taskbar, Dreamweaver refuses to give up focus (stays as top/maximised window and in focus). It is unbearable and needs to be fixed.

This is an ongoing problem with every DW update. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling; uninstalling/removing all references to Dreamweaver 2021 in AppData/restarting/reinstalling. Doing all this while making sure files palette is left open (historical post on this issue). It is just an ongoing frustrating bug. What is the workaround? Is it OK to just copy and paste the settings from the previous version in AppData>Adobe>Dreamweaver 2020 and App settings>Adobe>Dreamweaver>20.0 to corresponding 2021 folders? (Windows 10) 

Are Adobe going to find a fix for the laggy Dreamweaver issues?The 'fix' of deleting registry entries every day is getting boring now.

I received the above message while trying to download Dreamweaver. This despite having been able to download the Free Trial 2 months ago. This despite my macbook specs being clearly far above the so called requirements. What is the meaning of this?

I have a new MAC Catalina version 15.20.7 I got it in April 2020, I havce been told by Apple support that teh o/s in this Catalina issue is ahead of some of the software applications and fixes will be coming in due course ???I ahve a Dreamweaver problem where i have what i thinks are saved filkes within folders completed. I find when i go back to them a few days/ weeks/ months later they are corrupted with errors and missing files within folders and  extra tags all across my html files. But the corruption is all the same. I keep thinking it's me with finger issues, but after weeks /months of this i am giving up and asking for help. To cut a long story short, since working from home via VPN  I have been unable to use the updated version of Dreamweaver because it is extremely laggy when editing anything in code or design view. I build single-use web pages for email marketing campaigns, with in-line css - they are honestly nothing fancy. I have been through the rigroll of unistalling/reinstalling, wiping preferences etc etc and the problems still persist. The only solution I have found in the past is to downgrade to v.2019 which suits me fine, because as I say, I'm not doing anything massively technical. However, over the course of the last few weeks it seems my version of Dreamweaver has automatically updated itself back to the latest version and now the option to install v.2019 has gone from the versions options. Anyone know of a way I can reinstall this?

I get this notification when I try to open a Dreamweaver webpage I am working on with a partner- how can I get the template? The "get" link does not work.  I have the CSS template downloaded and saved in the same folder as the webpage..Thank you!

Hello, I'm trying to assist a student with a strange issue. He is trying to use git with Dreamweaver and no matter what I do, Dreamweaver keeps giving an error that it cannot locate the git client. I've re-installed the client, along with DW to no avail. I also attempted to install git to another folder which also did not work. This is on a Windows 10 Enterprise computer. I've researched this problem and the only "fix" I found was to leave one of the options blank, I believe the line asking for the location to git-bash.exe but that also has not worked. Has anyone else run into this issue?Thanks

Hi Hive Minds!I have a simple row of cards and in each card header is a logo and all 3 are centered in each card. They are centered using .mxauto When I add a link to this image it shifts to the left. ???? How do I keeo it centered? Thanks lovely people. Joe 

I run spell check in Dreamweaver on a daily basis. It is a great tool to check spell errors. However, I have noticed that it does miss some of the important errors. To list few examples: 1. Note:The point is...(there should be a space after colon, but dreamweaver does not flag it.) 2. It does flag combined words due to missing hypens ScenarioAction Is this an exception in cases of punctuations? Are there any settings that can help? Please suggest
