instal Dreamweaver,

I am unable to change the workspace to Developer mode because the Developer.xml file is blank. Not sure how this happened but how can I get it recreated? 

Up to date Dreamweaver CC running on MacBook Pro (15" 2016) w/ macOS High SierraI work in Split mode.On opening Dreamweaver shows the Design but takes a lot of time to display the code side of the screen.Dreamweaver randomly crashes when saving html files.Anybody's having the same problem ?Thanks

I'm running Dreamweaver 20, build 15196. Remotely, I've got a plain old WordPress site with which I desire to synchronize with my local machine. Synchronizing has never been a particuarly efficient or reliable process under Dreamweaver, but now it's completely broken: if I try to synchronize my entire site (getting all new files and deleting any local files not found on the remote server), DW will properly give me a file list, but when I tell it to act on that list (getting and deleting as necessary) it will crash. Every time. I've even tried to isolate the problem by only getting new files or just deleting any orphan local files, but it will crash, every time. I've even generated a file, declined action on every file but one....and it still crashes. I've sent crash reports; is there an obvious place I can look at a log to see what Dreamweaver is tripping up on?

Hi, I created a project in Animate that my teacher converted to HTML, but the font, Coquette, has changed to some other font. Since it was origionally and Animate project, I can't see a way to simply do something like this: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_font.asp#sa_src=web-messaging because the text is not actually in the html code for me to do that with. I tried using a link to the font: <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://use.typekit.net/egx5yro.css">, but i couldn't get that to work at all.   Here is the Dreamweaver file:  https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn%3Aaaid%3Ascds%3AUS%3A0f6fec26-0770-4b8c-be02-e3b73f5979fa My last attept to use the link above is still in there.   I am stuck.  I have no idea how to get this font back in there for my logo and the text on the gravestones. Any help or advice would be gretly appreciated. Kind regards, Bernadette

I've just downloaded Dreamweaver 2020 and the design view doesn't work, it just shows a blank page, so I have to do a 50/50 split screen with code/live view. The problem is that live view means that the Quick Property Inspector is working and it puts a yellow box around whatever text I click on, which is really useless when I want to copy and paste some text onto the page because it pastes it into the paragraph and strips the formatting so instead of being able to add 2 or 3 extra paragraphs, it adds a huge block of text to the paragraph I've clicked on. And this Quick Property Inspector WON"T let me put my cursor between paragraphs either.  Not only that but when I click on a paragraph the yellow box jumps back up the page, one paragraph at a time so the only paragraph it lets me work on is the first one. No matter how many times I scroll down and try and edit a paragraph, the property inspector box moves one-by-one back up the paragraphs to the top.  This whole th

I have 3 functions in a .js file that I absolutely use in my HTML. However, I get the errors below. Is it because the functions are not called within the .js file? How can I suppress the errors? 

Hi,  Live View has decided to stop working only get a report along the top informing me 'Flash Plugin was not found' and to install 'Firefox Flash Plugin' from www.adobe.com'.  Well, it is and has been.  Just redownloaded just in case but still no change.  I have also changed the default Browser to Safari with no difference.  Any previous issues or knowledge of this problem or solutions please.Thanks

Hi   I built a website using Dreamweaver. I want to make it alive now. I bought the domain from Godaddy. GoDaddy needs an IP address from Dreamwaever for the website. How do I obtain the IP for my new website from Dreamweaver?    

I can't find a way to get Dreamweaver to show my open documents (pages) vertically (in a side bar). The only choice seems to be in tabs (and then I can't see all my open documents without scrolling right) or in seperate windows (which is very messy). Brackets and Sublime list document vertically - making it very easy to see all the open docs / pages. Thank you

I am totally fed up with the latest version of dweaver. Used to use very old version and always good. Now, neverending problems!  Have uninstalled and reinstalled and still problems.   Working on one site, then view my saved page in local browser, ok it is fine. Then in Dweaver I opened up a different site had made, and was editing that, then when saved page and go to view that page in browser, it kept going and showing the page I had seen before from different site!!!   Will not allow me to view other page from other site working on.   have closed opened and still the same, does not allow to view different sites designed as keeps reverting to the one had open originally!!!! Also..... when viewing a saved page on local browser the window url always used to show what it was, now only says the page is .. / index - this is not true as some are profile, some are gallery and other diff title pages, but all show when viewed as / index. My list goes on

How do I empty the cache in Dreamweaver CC 2017 on Mac?When I look in Library > Application Support > Adobe, there is no Dreamweaver folder there.The problem is that Dreamweaver constantly freezes on startup on when trying to build a site map.

I write stories and post them on my website. To avoid any formatting being brought over from my WP app Pages, I copy and paste the text into plain TextEdit then copy and paste into DW. The text defaults to stylestory from my sytlesheet. I have another font defined by stylechapter with the text-align set at center. Sometimes when I highlight say Chapter One and select the stylechapter it aligns left and that is caused by the preceeding style.The code looks like this:<p class="stylestory"><span class="stylechapter">Chapter One</span></p>If I remove <p class="stylestory"> then the font aligns correctly at center. Its a RPITA to go ahead and remove the preceeding font code for all the instances of Chapter. The same happens with the font styleasterisk. Any idea why DW is doing this?ThanksAlan

Hello! I have problems getting the layout correct in when I finally upload a page to a server. In the original version of the page, a text (h3) was aligned to the right. My client wanted the text to be centered instead, so in styles.css I changed to:text-align:center; The text is now centered in code, also when pre-check in Chrome and Safari. When I upload the document to a server, the text is still to the right. Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks in advance for your kind answers.

Hello, I am really stressing trying to figure this one out so any help is greatly appreciated. The site I am working on is www.jessicalwhor.com and it is in its infancy stages, so please don't expect a fully-realized site. However, I'm having trouble moving past this initial issue. For some time, I was able to put changes on the domain rather easily, however now I am not able to. I recently updated the background image, but the changes are only displaying on my device (the local device) and not on my cell browser or on my partners laptop on any browser. I have tried all browsers, and have cleared the cache seemingly hundreds of times now. I even went so far as to download FireFox on a device that has never had FireFox installed. The new file that is to be displayed has a filename of "JessicaNew1.png" and the one that consistently displays no matter how frequently I remove it from the /public_html/ file is named "JessicaBackground.png." Recently I upgraded my Dreamweaver version to 2020, and suddenly I am unable to use the Server Behaviors extension--it's gone from my Window menu. If I go down to Extensions, it says, "No extensions available". My other computer that still has version 2019 still has Server Behaviors, so what happened to 2020? I would hate to lose the extension, especially since that functionality isn't built in to Dreamweaver anymore (which was an enormous mistake in my opinion; it was one of the best tools Dreamweaver had). (Yes, I know MySQL is technically depricated, but I have an app that will convert the Dreamweaver code to MySQLi. I just hate that Adobe basically abandoned what was probably the best part about its web software.)

I've started to handcode small, simple websites using HTML and CSS. But I'm coming up against the same problems: making responsive navbars / dropdowns, simple contact forms, slideshows and show/hide content. I don't know anything about JavaScript and this is probably beyond my understanding (I'm a graphic designer). I've looked into Bootstrap but it to me it appears very bloated, overly complicated and I don't like the idea of using a framework. I like the idea of writing my own code and knowing what it is doing. I'm looking for a tool / app that will help me make these features that I need help with. Would Dreamweaver help? Does Dreamweaver come with pre-built "blocks" or elements that I can simply add to my site and tweak? i.e. does it come with JS to do the heavy lifting for me? (For these elements I'll have to accept that I probably can't handcode them and will have to rely on pre-built elements)

I've just installed DW and opened the HTML pages of my website. However each file / page is shown in a tab across the top. There are too many tabs to fit into my screen, so I can't see most of my files (without scrolling to the right). This is a total pain.   Can my files be displayed in a side bar instead? Like Brackets Sublime and  BBEdit where the files are displayed in a side bar (and I can see them all)

After a CPU power failure I have a new desktop and am reinstalling software. I have successfully been using old versions of Macromedia Studio MX 2004; I know Adobe does not support these versions any longer, but they still work for me and I want to reinstall. My MX version installed fine and I was able to input my product key without it needing to validate with Adoble. However, my MX 2004 version was an upgrade, and when I enter my product key, it wants to register online or by phone. I know Adobe won't accept the registration any longer, so is there any way to use my MX 2004 software any more?

Hi All, I have been using Dreamweaver to create my website so I am fairly familiar with the software. I run a weather station which is capable of sending via ftp the weather data to my server in the form of comma seperated variables.My question is how can I import the data from the file into Dreamweaver so that I can develop a website that displays graphs and meters etc with the data from the weather station. Any help is greatly appreciated.
