Try to style a FORM tag in GOLD and a DIV tag in GREEN in a PHP document. Does not work. I made an addition to my style sheet to add a font styel. I uploaded the sheet to my website server. However when I open a file in DW that uses that stylesheet and I look at the code for the attached sytle sheet, it doesn't contain the new font code. But if I open the actual stylesheet the new font style is in there. Really weird. Alan

Hi, In a php file, I set up a testing server and previewed it with Chrome. I expected to see the php file, which I am working on with Dw.But the php, which is already on the server, is opened. Am I mistaken about the functioning of the testing server? Housn Kang 

Everytime that I launch Dreamweaver 2020 as a file loads it appears for a few seconds and then it crashes. I have reset preferences, uninstalled and reinstalled but it has made no difference.

My site has a mind of it own.  I would fix the site and save and upload the file and look at the page and see the changes.  I come back to the page and the page is back to the old way.  I would have to delete all the files that I upload and clear my cookies and upload the files again.  Then it is still hit and miss on the changes. I have two monitors and with the same setting and the site shows up different on each one of them.This is my capstone project and I am not sure what to do since it does not seem stay the same all the time.  I only have one year into the site and there is about 19 more to add.ndsu.edu/wrri/NDWRRI 2019

Hi all,For some reason whenever I open up Dreamweaver it instantly crashes after about 45 seconds with no error. If I have typed anything, then it asks me if I would like to save my progress and then closes. Yesterday it was working fine, but today it has this issue. Also, my trial ended yesterday, but I have purchased it today. I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

On my contact page on website, a prospective client pointed out something. My mail to link.. which works great on desktop... Click and a new email come up in Apple Mail (or whatever client), and ready to go. But on smartphone, (in my case iphone), I see a hidden at bottom, (beyond pathetic), "Open this link in external app? mailto joe@joephoto.com" This is just pathetic. Is this how email links work for smartphones or is there something I can do to replicate the "normal" way it works on desktops/ laptops, thanks.

Hi, Clicking the top-right icon on my website (https://gihand.xyz), there is “Contact Me”-contact.php.   On “iPhone”, I filled in the fields on Chrome and Safari.The “sent” message appeared.But it didn’t come to my inbox.It works with “gmail” only. I checked it on “laptop” with Chrome and Edge.Everything is fine. I can’t find out the reason. Hosun Kang 

Hi! I am using a website layout that I found for free (under the Creative Commons license). I have uploaded all its files exactly where they need to go, and both local and remote server match exactly. However, while Dreamweaver is reflecting the CSS stylesheets just fine, the stylesheets are not recognized in any web browser. How do I fix this? 

When I try to preview my web page using Previw in Browser I get the follwoing message. Is this a bug? If I close DW and reopen it, the preview works fine.Alan

I am working on website and each time I go back to work on it the size in the brower keeps changing.  I have some of my work on the server to test the look and I look that size of the screen so I download the CSS and the pages but that and the size of the page is lot smaller so the everything is off.  How can I make sure that it is not dreamweaver having problems?  I need this site to look good for my capstone that is due next week.

I have a website that I created in Dreamweaver, and the pages use a template for the top menu, which I developed with Bootstrap. I wanted to add a blog, and thought I would just create a blog in Wordpress and then create a page that pulls the blog posts from the Wordpress site to a page on my website. So, I created blog.php and added the website template. However, I'm not getting consistent, good results. My first questions is, is this going to work? Is there something inherently incompatable about using templates on a .php page? Next, where should I put "<?phpdefine('WP_USE_THEMES', false);require('wp/wp-blog-header.php');?>"? At the top of the page or in the editable instance labeled "head" in the template? Finally, what should my PHP look like to pull posts from Wordpress? What is wrong with Dreamweaver FTP and transferring files to a server (any server)? Almost any other FTP program works fine - except Dreamweaver's.I get almost all possible errors with DW ftp:- hangs- waits- it skips files - uploads/downloads waaaay too long (for a 1 min job DW needs 30 minutes or more; If I want to upload a few hundreds of small files - for example, 20 MB in total it's almost impossible).I do have a lot (hundreds/thousands) of files (html, js, PHP,..) in a folder (subfolders).I am subscribed to Adobe cloud (latest updates), updated WIN, 100Mbps/10Mbps, 8 ms PING, comp i7/16GB/1TB SSD...). Everything else (Photoshop, even other parts of DW ...) is nice and works great - just FTP is driving me nuts.FTP is for a web developer the main tool. I can even code in a notepad - but DW is great because we can save files with one click on both places simultaneously (local and server). I did try a lot of different options (active/passive FTP...) but no luck...

I know this is old but since I will have to move to Catalina eventually and will lose essential Dreamweaver functionality, I ask to the community: Does anyone know how to manually include cfm and cfc files to show within the related files tab?This is key for me to be more productive.I wasn't able to find yet an IDE that supports related files the way Dreamweaver CS6 (and previous versions) do. If there is no way with Dreamweaver CC, anyone knows an IDE that when I open a file, it will also open all related files, including cfm, cfc, js, css? Thank you in advance!

Bonjour, dépuis plus d'un mois je ne peux plus utiliser Dreamweaver à cause de ce message. Le logiciel ne s'ouvre pas. J'ai contacté à plusirs reprises le service supports. J'ai passé 2 heurs en ligne avec partage d'écran mais personne arrive a resoudre ce problème. On m'as dit que quelq'un allez me recontcater... personne. Depuis je n'arrive même plus a contcater le service support... Que faire?   

Since multiple versions of Dreamweaver can exist on the same computer at the same time, is updating the code necessary when opening a .html file made with CS6 in the latest version of CC? Or, will the code automatically update when the file is opened in the latest version of CC? Is there a risk of Dreamweaver code being used for hacking into shared hosted space via the website if the files were created using CS6? Thanks
