How can I use  Dreamweaver menue for Bootstrap? Do I have to upgrade to the current Bootstrap Version 3.4.1? I would prefer to use my old Version 3.3.5 (never change a running system). Thanks a lot for your helpGreetings from BerlinAlex

Hello, thank you for looking. I'm having a long-term, recurring & ever- worsening issue with Dreamweaver CC 2019 across multiple sites. It's becoming a bit of an emergency as it's gotten nearly impossible to use Dreamweaver without ruining tons of past work as well as whatever project is open at the time. Dreamweaver shows the WRONG RELATED files in the related files panel at the top, just under the file name tab. It's done this sometimes since I first installed but it's gotten so bad that it wil not display the correct files ever anymore. I run many sites so if more than one of them uses a file called "nav.css" (for example) then this can and has cause major disasters over & over again especially beacuse many of these files are fairly similar & hard to tell apart at a glance. Yes, I can hover over the file name in the related panel and see the actual location but I'm not (ans shouldn't need to be) in the habit of constantly assuming I'm being presented with

Has anyone been successful with running Drameaver on a local (hard Drive) Wordpress server, via MAMP?I have been able to install MAMP, and successfully work in Wordpress through Chrome. But I want to also work in Dreamweaver, specifically use templates (update-able) inside of Dreamweaver. When I try to open the site, Dreamweaver runs a discovery process, but ends up with an error. I am sure that I have the correct directory as I have triple checked it. My site manage list disappeared. I'm on a Mac, and found old posts suggesting to get the older 'Site Prefs' file from my Time Machine backup and replace it in the current same folder - where everyone was relieved that it worked for them, but this file trail doesn't exist after the 'Adobe' folder - and a Finder search for 'site prefs' comes up with nothing. (Macintosh HD:username:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Common:12.0:Sites:Site Prefs)Is there an updated way to fix this? Maybe newer location to get the same backed up info as the old Site Prefs file?  

I knew I needed to get on board with one of these. Watched a YouTube vid and, without a doubt, it convinced me CSS Grid was the way to go for quite logical reasons. ...This way, I could also avoid learning Bootstrap 4 in addition to working with Flexbox.Then I found out that CSS Grid is really not fully compatible with older browsers. I think it will be quite a while till the end-users with the older browsers catch up.Knowing that, do you agree Flexbox & BS 4 is the way forward for now in terms of learning something new? What are your thoughts on this topic?

I am using a Macbook and have been encountering missing file errors.  Most of them aren't critical and I can work around them -- but I do need to be able to use the Extract feature.  Uninstall/reinstall did nothing.  My Creative Cloud is v. 4.3.9.2.  This is the error I get when I go to Windows --> Extract.  Help?   file:///Macintosh%20HD/Applications/Adobe%20Dreamweaver%20CC%202019/Configuration/Floaters/dw-extract/indextemp.html?theme=midDark

Menus.xml error preventing dreamweaver from starting. I have followed instructions to delete the current menus.xml and rename menus.bak to menus.xml. And I have uninstalled multiple times. No luck!

It's early doors but my observation so far is its very difficult to keep track of what or who has posted/responded to a thread. I've only just picked up responses that were posted 3hrs ago because the 'response' posts do not lift the thread to the top of the 'latest' list. The original post stays where it originally was and consumes the responses 'silently'. This means if anyone responds to a post, in a lot of instances, it will most likely never be viewed/acknowledged. The only way it seems of identifying if any responses have been added to a post is by keeping an eye on the number of 'replies'. But if you are contributing to a few threads this is difficult to keep track of. I haven't explored what is under the icons in the top right corner yet, maybe something up there which provides a better insight to what's happening. Any thoughts?

(Ben)osgood's body {padding: 0px;} made me to follow Ben's fixed footer. <footer> is under contact.css and styles.css.I wrote the code in orange box together with body {padding-bottom: 21.33px;} for the original fixed footer.How would I deal with them? Dreamweaver CS6 on my 2017 Mac running Mojave: I have a folder with LOTS of files—all the ads I've run in my online news magazine since 2003! Just trying to scroll down to find things takes literally hours! I need to keep them where they are or the links on the website will break.Is there a way to rebuild the directory or something, or delete and replace an app file, something that will get me back to work? I'm ready to scream.Editing files works fine. Trying to edit the home page and put the new ads in is torture.It seems like it's a display issue, but what do I know? 

In Code View, I have my font styles that I use the most at the top hoping that they would appear in that order in the dropdown list in Targeted Rule, but their order is totally different. How can I make them appear in the same order? Thanks Alan

Doing my weekly reading of W3C announcements, I came across the 1st white paper for 'mini apps' , which although on a quick read through looks interesting, (with some interesting possibilities for developers). I am however still confused as to the how, (installed) and the why of them. Read - Click to view mini app white paper. Anyone have any thoughts, especially on 'mini apps' vs PWA's, (as possible alternative to PWA's for small buisnesses)?

I recently was given a job to edit a website created by someone else several years ago. I believe the layout was created in Photoshop and exported or saved. I downloaded the site into Dreamweaver. It looks like the layout was created with gif files that included images, spacers and text. Some of the gif files have text and photo images or portions of images. Is there anyway I can edit the text without having the original psd files? Will I have to delete the gif files and recreate the text and images to make the requested changes? Any ideas would be appreciated!

I'm fairly new to building sites and have limited knowledge of what I'm doing, but my issue lies in the social media icons of my site. When in mobile view, the icons stack vertically but I want them to stay horizontal and shrink to fit the screen like they do in my tablet and desktop view. I've tried display: inline-block, no change. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I'm sure it's a simple fix, but I cannot figure it out. Hi, Opening UPLOAD 1.html from index.html, there is footer, which comes from footer.js. index.html and UPLOAD 1.html are under styles.css.But Almendra is not applied to the footer in UPLOAD 1.html.With Developer Tools, it is Almendra. I'm trying to update an image map and have brought in code from a remote page. When I am in split view, with Code and Design View, I can see the image maps but not the remote image. If I switch from Design to Live view, I can see the remote image but not the image map. Is there a way to see the remote image while in Design View in Dreamweaver CC 2019? Attached is a partial screen showing broken links in the Design View. I don't want to have to download the actual images to my local machine just to edit the image maps. I've been using Dreamweaver CS6 and have just recently switched to CC Dreamweaver 19.2 on a Mac. I am having problems with editing text in split view. I can click once in the upper split view window on a block of text and a blue box pops up around it for edit html attributes, if I double click inside the blue boa again, the blue box tuns into a gold box and I can directly edit the text. At least that is how it works on some pages, on other pages a double click inside the blue box does not cause it to turn gold and I can not edit text. I've rebooted the computer a few times, restarted Dreamweaver many times, removed and reinstalled Dreamweaver. The two pages were generated from the same template, although not the same version and not at the same time. I can't figure out if this is a Dreamweaver Problem, a template problem or whether I'm just doing something wrong. After my PC crashed out I had to reinstall everything. I had a couple of recent sites that I hadn't yet backed up with a .ste or anything. I can get into the registry on the old drive and I've found the password key in the keychain, but unlike my old trusty DW8, the keys for the CC version seem to be a long encoded string. Is there any method of decoding this or do I have to go digging around for my original notes on the passwords for the sites I'm missing?
