Still waiting

I have watched the tutorial and read through the forums but have been unable to get past this issue. When I try to associate Dreamweaver to my GIT repository it says "Dreamweaver could not locate the Git client on your computer". Tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hi,That is super annoying but I cannot find an option in version 19.2 on Mac to clear recent files. Anyone had any luck with clearing the list? I cannot see such option.Thanks!

I am trying to set up a Wordpress and Dreamweaver workflow and I am using MAMP to locally host Wordpress so I can do Theme Development. I have Run into this Error "dynamically -related files could not be resolved because the site definition is not correct for this server."I have set up a testing Server in SITES > MANAGE SITES. After clicking on my "site" I go to the server and set theServer Name: Wordpress BasicsConnection using: Local/NetworkServer Folder: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/Wordpress-Basic           (Wordpress-Basic is the Name of the Root Folder where the WordPress files are included)Web URL: http://localhost:8888/Wordpress-Basic/ Now on the top of my screen, there is the Error message "dynamically -related files could not be resolved because the site definition is not correct for this server. Retry | Setup"Of course, I tried both "Retry" shows up with the same message, and "StepUp" takes me back to the SITES > MANAGE SI

Greetings,I've used Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 for about a decade now, and I'm used to the color scheme used in the code editor for HTML and PHP tags/variables, etc.I recently upgraded to Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2019 after a catastrophic computer failure, and no longer have CS5. Is there a way to change the CC 2019 code colors to those of CS5? Is there some kind of one-click preference option, or do I have to import a colors.xml type file? If so, where is that file available for CS5's default code colors?ThanksKind regards

Example of code in the .htaccess file below. Not sure why it is not working. Should those old files be purged from the server, or does it not matter? I did purge one of them during my testing, but did not make a difference. I get the Server Error 404 page. I even tried making the first call of the 'old' URL absolute. No luck! I read this thread and tried the DISM restorehealth command in admin mode of command prompt.New Windows 10 computer. New installation of Creative Cloud Application. Photoshop opens fine. Might be related: I was getting a "MSVCR110.dll is not designed for windows" (oddly it wasn't the "x is missing" error) but I got the 2012 c++ redistributable package and that fixed that part.Now it is immediately closing after it appears to completely launch. You can even hover over the menus and the light up for a split second before it closes. There are no error messages.I have uploaded the log via the "adobe log collector tool" if that helps. 8/7/19Dreamweaver cs6.I do basic web design using Dreamweaver in design mode, for lack of code knowledge. When I highlight a div box in designer mode say < dive#somthing>I have to search in depth down the css rules list to find that rule in order to make changes.Is there a way that when I select the div box in the designer that it will highlight that CSS rule in the list so I don’t have to search down the list every time to find that rule, open it make my changes these lists are very long as you know.Tony

Up to DW 19.0, I was able to keep or fomart my styles to single line properties. That's no longer possible on 19.1 or 19.2. Clicking on formatting now breaks everything into multiple lines.Before, clicking on format would format all styles to this, or keep them if they were already in this form..entry {line-height:1.2; font-size:1.8rem; margin:1rem; color:#000}After the v19.1 update, everytihng breaks into multiple lines and there is no other way around. .entry {line-height:1.2;font-size:1.8rem;margin:1rem;color:#000}A css file with 872 lines is increased to 3392 lines making it more tedious to edit it. It even increase the size of the file to a few extra KBs. Why did Adobe took this route? Am I missing anything?Thanks.

Hello:In addition to the KB Size of my image files, I need to learn how to reveal the width and height of images that appear in the Local Files list, as shown in my screenshot. . .In CS6, I was able to open the assets file and, once I clicked something, the width and height of each image file was displayed. Can I again display those widths and heights values in CC19?Thanks, in advance.Warren

I'm working on a Dreamweaver tutorial which was supposed to deliver a mapped image ready for coding clickable links over various sections of the image.Long story short: The prefab image wasn't there, so I decided to try to grab an image from Wikimedia Commons and set it up for mapping myself. However, I couldn't find the mapping tools in Dreamweaver 2019, and all the tutorials and forum discussions of this topic were old and provided no answers in spite of my clicking on various buttons, menus and whatever, including CSS Designer, where there were no mapping functionsI'm attaching a screenshot of what I have up at the moment. The idea is to insert a clickable area over each of the faces. If anyone can tell me how to open up the mapping tools I would be very grateful!

Can dreamweaver build mobile apps and games? What software is used for that?I think DW is just for websites and web based apps (progressive web apps)...Or do I need to be focusing on javascript, C#, and cloud dev to build mobile apps?

Just downloaded the latest version, opened my code and I want to remove a paragraph and modify some other things in the code but it's locked.  Can't make any changes in the code window.  How do I write code...the way I was taught to code back in the dark ages?

I have been having the same issue for quite some time. I purchased a new Dell computer in January 2019 running Windows 10, installed CC 2019, and Dreamweaver silently crashes after completely loading. I can run Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Premier, Bridge, and Animate just fine on my new system. Something is wrong with Dreamweaver. I have been forced to run Dreamweaver CC 2018 off an old Dell laptop also running Windows 10. Would love a fix for this.

This may help people who encountered the same problem as I did.Installed Dreamweaver 19.2 on a new Windows 10: it crashed as soon as I closed the welcome screen Tried al solutions on divers forums, spent hours and hours, nothing helped.SOLUTION: With Creative Cloud I installed an earlier version (18) alongside the existing one.BINGO! Both versions worked faultlessly!! Next, uninstalled the old version (again with Creative Cloud)  and the new version kept on working normally.BEWARE:1. Create a System Restore Point at every step;2. Keep your preferences when uninstalling the old version.

I believe I found a bug in Dreamweaver CC. I get an output error when using some CSS markup for 'grid-template-columns' and 'grid-template-rows'. It says that both lines expect a 'RBRACE', however, I've used this code before in other instances and the error doesn't pop up. Is posting this issue to the forums a way to alert the development team? I'm not much of a gun (at all) at regular expressions.I need to replace everything between two comments with nothing.I am trying to resurrect and clean up some HTML for someone whose site is only now available via the Wayback Machine.So, I have lots (hundreds) of files with:<!-- BEGIN WAYBACK TOOLBAR INSERT -->I want to replace all of this HTML and, of course, the comments themselves<!-- END WAYBACK TOOLBAR INSERT -->I can do search & replaces on most other stuff but each of the comment sections is slightly different.Is this possible? How do you set up search and results within an intranet site built in dreamweaver 2019. so what I want our employees to be able to do is, at any stage of any page, they can zip up to the top nav and hit the search button, opens the Search page and field, type in,,, for example... "Employee Handbook" or "Holidays" and get results relating to this search.
