enter the picture on a page and go to "live" it looks great, but when you down load it to the server the pictures are missing.
I am using two side-by-side spry accordians in Dreamweaver 5. They look great, however, I only want the viewer to see one accordian tab at any given time. Is it possible to put in an if statement at the end of the html document to instruct the browser to collapse one accordian if the second accordian is opened?I have tried but javascript is not my area! <script type="text/javascript">var Accordion1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1",{ defaultPanel: -1});var Accordion2 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion2",{ defaultPanel: -1}); </script>
For you professional out there, this will probably be an easy answer. I'm always updating my Dreamweaver, so currently have Dreamweaver CC, I believe 2019 release. I recently brought in some files (html) from an old website that was created using CS6. I need to update some of the pages, but can't figure out how to add text. It used to be so easy. Ideas? Jim

I'm trying to edit a user account page on a ACF site using DW live view. The live view window shows the login page because a user needs to log in somehow before their data appears on the page I need to edit, and I need to see the page with data in it to be effective. I can't seem to submit the form from within DW to log in, so how do I proceed without hacking the application.cfc and cflogin framework to bypass this?
When I go to File > Real-time Preview > Safari (or Chrome), I get the error "You tried to access an external HTML page, which can not be opened on the device for preview. Open the page in Dreamweaver to preview the page on the device." How can I preview my site in a browser? It's been a while since I used Dreamweaver so maybe something has changed, I used to have no problems with this. I'm on my MacBook laptop.
Greetings professionals,I'm sort of teaching myself responsive web design and recently redesigned a site for a client using a parallax effect. Works just fine, with the exception of Apple iPads and iPhones. Here is a link to the site. Still working things out with the client, so please don't judge too harshly. Madtown Window Cleaning, LLC I understand the actual scrolling effect might not work on iPhones or even iPads, but for some reason the background image itself doesn't seem to be scaling down properly as it does on Android.Anyone here know the secret to getting the background image to display properly? Thanks for any guidance,Dave
I'm working on a project to track a campaign of commitments and also would love to showcase it on the website of how many people are talking about it over social media primarily through hashtags. I saw an example online for this website https://www.heforshe.org/en Anyone have any ideas how I can build that into my website?
I'm using Dreamweaver 2018 and trying to do a Find/Replace on a bunch of hyperlinks. Problem is, I open the Find/Replace dialog and paste in the chunk of code I'd like to replace, but then I need to hop over to Chrome to grab the new URL I'm trying to change to and when I switch away from the Dreamweaver window, the Find/Replace dialog disappears. In older versions Find/Replace was either a panel that I could place in Dreamweaver or it at least stayed visible if I switched to another program. Can anyone help me here? I don't want to have to manually type out this long URL just because I can't copy/paste it.
When this site was last edited 3-4 months ago, I think I remember the images being centered on desktop, with gray bars on either side. I just learned that is no longer the case. Perhaps bootstrap was updated? Or I just have a faulty memory. In any case, I seem to be missing something and would like to center the images horizontally. 2017 Festival Photos | Durham Blues & Brews Festival Somewhat related, the images are on the small side at 640px wide. A later edit project is to build multiple sizes using srcset. An article referenced on this forum is from 2014. Is it still a recommended method in 2017 (nearly 2018)?
Trying to reinstall DW CS5.5 on my new computer after my old computer stopped working. When I try to run from the disc (2011) I get the errorAdobe installer is already running. Just for info - The W3C and WHATWG have announced that the WHATWG is to maintain and define the standards for html and dom from now on.The W3C will retain control over what level of recommendation, (WD to Rec) the html/dom standard has achived. For further info, please read -https://www.w3.org/blog/2019/05/w3c-and-whatwg-to-work-together-to-advance-the-open-web-platform/
I want to copy (sync) files from the remote server to DW CS on my computer. Please see attached:Would this be the correct settings? I clicked on Preview--it looked as if it was copying files, and it kept on and on until I canceled it. Thanks for your help.
MacBook Pro 15" 2017Latest macOS 10.14.5 and CC updates (19.1 11240)Copy and paste faling terribly. Can't copy text inside a tag, for example... I don't have the time to go into details now, but seems like the thing desctibed previously.
hello again...not talking about a responsive grid here, where images are fully separated from each other & fixed in their own block...but rather a typical photo collage, similar to magazine page design, where images *overlap* each other. Is this possible, in bootstrap (or any other form that can be incorporated into a bootstrap site)...???thanx,mf
I found some code, so when you click on the button, it changes. On the demo, it works, but when I try to add the code, I’m not sure where to place it within the HTML to get it to work, tried everywhere but can’t get it to work.My plan to have three buttons ( can’t even get one to work!) which will be a HEART image - BELL image and a Thump image for Likes which I have created illustrations for them. Additional code will be added later just need to the simple part sorted first!Hope you can have a look, please?Tim------------ -----------$(".plus").click(function(){ $(this).toggleClass("minus") ; }).plus{ background-image: url("https://cdn0.iconfinder.com/data/icons/ie_Bright/128/plus_add_blue.png"); width:130px; height:130px; background-repeat:no-repeat;}.plus.minus{ background-image: url("https://cdn0.iconfinder.com/data/icons/ie_Bright/128/plus_add_minus.png"); width:13
When I place my cursor on a spry menu bar the blue tab appears but the properties panel shows blank. The menu bar works OK but the changes I can add via html are limited.I think there is probably an error in the markup. Advice appreciated please.
Buongiornoho fatto un sito con Dreamweaver. Lo devo ottimizzare per i dispositivi mobili. Come si fa?Grazie anticipatamente per una rispostaBarbara
I realise this is an old version and I have CC2018. But I really don't like the interface. I've got a new computer and I have to do a job urgently and don't have time to learn the quirks of a newer version. I have a serial key from when I purchased CS6. You used to be able to just download older versions.
Where did the save and save as buttons disappear to? Why was such a stupid thing done?I absolutely loved CS6. Adobe pulled a Microsoft mistake. Every time they update software, it gets worse. I absolutely hate the CC products. I run CS6 on my main development computer and love it. Unfortunately, that computer is on it's death bed. Creative cloud doesn't offer the download of older versions any more that I can find. Only older CC versions. Now I'm going to get stuck using the crappy CC version. I feel ripped off by Adobe. Is it possible to get back these ESSENTIAL buttons?By the way, I have searched and read previous threads on this, but the answers posted there DO NOT WORK!!!! I wasn't able to post in the other thread, so I posted this.
Anyone know how to get Email notification to start working again? I've looked everything. Stumped, thanks.
Still…again…. same issue since DW 18:a Dreamweaver’s thread in a infinite loop that takes more than 102% of the processor. This is certainly an issue with the PHP parse error handling process, because DW still running except it. But need to kill DW because : 102% of processor is used, its fan run whole-heartedly, and the laptop battery lose 10% every 5 minutes !!!!ADOBE, PLEASE DO SOMETHING. THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE !!!!And some many other issues that make productivity much less effective than your product suggests.Should I continue to pay for this?
I'm trying to style my bootstrap layout with a custom css file. I followed a youtube video on how to add grid rows with columns.Below is my basic layout that I'm trying to style. I thought I was making some progress until I tried to add an image as a background in my header. It shows up in the header and the footer. Is that because they both have a class that says "col-sm-12" Do I need to change the name on a class? And what about the fact that I have a lot of div that says class=row? The video looked the same as my html except for being a fluid container.<!DOCTYPE html><html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> <title>Untitled Document</title> <!-- Bootstrap --> <link href="css/bootstrap-4.3.1.css" rel="stylesheet"> </head>
I have been using cs5 (version 11.0) for years on my MacBook Pro. Today the Design View developed a major problem. Starting about 1/3 of the way down the .html page, the background stops -- or is covered over by a black screen as seen in the image below: I was not working at this point in the code at the time but rather much farther down the page. I looked at the code at this point (where it begins the screen) and there is no visible code problem. I deleted a few lines of code surrounding this transition and it did not solve the problem. I rebooted the system, which did not get rid of the screen.Any image files (.png, etc) are not covered by the screen. When I save the page and open it in a browser, the screen does not appear. Just in the Design View while in Dreamweaver. But this makes developing/editing the page impractical/impossible.If I am in the wrong Forum, please direct me to the correct one. Thanks for any ideas or help.jim
Evening all hopefully I can get a bit of help here (again!) – the contact form on the website here Welcome to Merlin's Cafe is pretty simple but I can't get it to work correctly, though I've used the same form and PHP set up before without any trouble – so does anyone have any suggestions as to why things aren't working as they should with the form? Or if anyone has a better form/PHP setup, especially one that can stop spam efficiently, that would be handy to know too. Thanks in advance!
