Trying to save - "Access denied"

I'm training a coworker in editing some html files, but the files won't save. The files are on a shared server in the office. I created the files with DW CC 18. My coworker is using DW CS 5.5. rollover text not appear after returning to main page

Hi;I'm using Dreamweaver and Chrome. On my site I have a main page with some content pages branching off of it. I have clickable images on the main page to allow moving to the other pages. If you hover over an image, rollover text will appear. When I open my main page and hover over one of the clickable images, the rollover text appears as expected. Once I go the page and then go back to the main page via a link on the content page, rollover text will no longer appear on the main page. However, if I go back to the main page via the back arrow in Chrome, then the rollover texts appear. Any ideas?Thanks;jjfjr

iframe content control from single responsive page/menu

Hello experts!Is there a way to control content from within an iframe using a main menu without refreshing the browser at each menu selection?The detail of my need is: I've created eight standalone but associated Adobe Spark presentations (my original content was simply too lengthy for a single Spark presentation). Let's say each of the 8 presentations has 10 pages/slides. WISH #1: I would like to command the presentations from a single, responsive webpage's menu so User may select from any of the 8 topics from the menu and have the iframe refresh and point to the selected Spark presentation - but without refreshing the entire page.I do understand the above could be sort of accomplished by simply having 8 separate web pages with a dedicated iframe for each Spark presentation. But I'm trying to create a workaround to overcome the challenge of Spark [weirdly] not having any sort of menu capabilities. I want User to have the sense that User is in an app-like environment where they are con

Dreamweaver Issue - text flows off page in tablet and mobile view

Hi, now that my site is responsive, I see that the text on all my pages except the index page flows off the page in both tablet and mobile view. I tried editing CSS but feel like I am only making it worse. Site is laurieakincaid.com and probably safe to say this all be my last site;)

Dreamweaver 18.2 line height / leading of code view

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone can tell me if I can change the default line height in the code view? I've switched to Lucida Console because I find Courier new a hideous choice for a coding font, but it looks the leading is some kind of fixed rather than a relative value.So since Lucida Console at 11pt is taller than Courier New at 11pt, the leading is now tiny and headache-inducing.I haven't been able to find anything on this, googling just throws up a bunch of articles on CSS and Design View, of course 😕😕

Responsive Issues with Dreamweaver

JavaScript try/catch not working

Dreamweaver CC 2019 has begun crashing after starting up

On Wednesday this week, Dreamweaver began crashing after starting up. I've deleted preferences as well as the Configuration folder. I've also double checked and both Tahoma and Verdana are activated (albeit with duplicated fonts, which are deactivated).Right now its completely unusable. I'll open Dreamweaver, initially I'd see the cache being rebuilt. Then I'll see the initial screen and then it'll crash.My CC App version is 4.7.0.400 and this is on Mac OS 10.14.2Any help would be really appreciated!

Losing my insertion point every ~30-60 seconds

I'm on a 2018 15" MacBook Pro using Dreamweaver CC 19.0.1. I am building several sites that are all currently saved locally on my HDD. This problem happens on all sites that I'm building and it's incredibly frustrating.About every 30-60 seconds while I'm adding HTML to my page, all of the sudden my insertion point (the blinking line where text is added) will disappear. When it happens, a Dreamweaver Background File Activity prompt appears and says "Retrieving directory information for folder '[foldername]". The folder is a mapped network drive. Dreamweaver then highlights "Computer" in the Files tab instead of returning my insertion point. So then, if I am not paying attention and hit delete I get an error telling me that I can't delete my root folder.It's driving me crazy, I can't keep resetting my insertion point every 45 seconds. How do I stop this?

Why can't I edit my themes in wordpress using Dreamweaver?

After making the required changes in the themes(style.css) and saving it , the desired changes are not seen in the webpage when refreshed(seen with google inspect). In the images given below I tried to change header background color.< Dreamweaver< Google InspectP.S. I edited the style.css file with notepad and made the same changes as done in dreamweaver but still the same.Please Help.

Live View doesn't show JavaScript

Hi,I encounter a problem using Dreamweaver CS 5.5, version 11.5 Build 5366. I know it’s not the latest one, but that’s what I have my license for. I used to program with the jsxgraph package and look at the result using “Live-Ansicht”(Live View, I suppose). In 2018 I had a break for roughly a year. Now I wanted to continue, but only see an empty box on the right, without the axes ect. I don’t know why? Snippets on Dreamweaver CC 2017, missing wrap function

Hi,I've read all the documentation about snippets changes on CC 2017. Here https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/reuse-code-with-snippets.html#insert-snippetsIt is said that "To wrap existing text in a code snippet, select the text, then insert the snippet, the text is wrapped within the code snippet."In CC 2015 when creating a snippet you could add "before" and "after" code so when activating the snippet with some code selected, that was wrapped beetween the "before" and "after" code. Previous snippets imported from 2015 with "after" and "before" still work wrapping as in cc2015, but i'm unable to create new snippets with "after" and "before" while on the help link provided up here, still says the wrap function is available.So is there a way to keep on using wrapping snippets on CC2017?By the way, new trigger function is nice but I'd rather prefer the shortcuts the way I could select some text, and trigger a wrapping snippet with a shortcut.Thank you!

DW 19.0.1 still very slow opening files in code view - any suggestions?

Hi all, ist there any way to make files loading faster? I have the feeling that it takes longer with each update until the files are loaded completely. I've deleted the cache file for rebuild. I have no virscan tool. No addon. My system Win 10 x64, Intel i9, 64GB RAM, RTX 2080, NVMe SSD - i really dont think that's not enough but every time I have to wait a few minutes until everything is ready. I sometimes open up to 20 files. but hey - we are talking about text files with only a few kilobytes.Thank you for any suggestions.Jens Matzner

CCLibrary - figure element (Dreamweaver 19.0.0.1193, Mac OS 10.13.6)

Being new to Dreamweaver, I went through and more or less completed the adobe Dreamweaver tutorial -"Websites in Dreamweaver erstellen" -, everything went fine, apart from loading images from the CC library into the figure element. In the live view a frame corresponding to the image size is opened showing the little cloud in the lower right corner  and the adobe loading squares flickering, but it never places anything into the images folder of the site or loaded the image in live view.     Neither the method using the right mouse button click on the image in the CC library dialog box nor the drag and drop method worked.In order to get through the tutorial I got around this problem by manually placing the images myself into the images folder, but obviously I need to know why it is not working the way it is described in the tutorial, so far I have spend a day reading manuals and trying out lots of different ideas but with no success. All suggestions/solutions app

Change text color of only one heading/shift button down

Hello...I am trying to make a couple of small changes that is giving me a huge challenge. On the page, I am trying to change the color of the text for the heading March for Meals only.  Every way I have tried, it ends up changing the color of all of the headingsThe second issue is the Donate Now button. Mac OS pop up for DW 64

Greetings Adobe Experts,Thanks for checking this "pop-up" out, pasted below============I received a pop while starting DW on my Mac OS 64,starting with "How do I check if an app is 32-bit or 64-bit?I followed directions boring down for OS Mojave and got specific information for Adobe  "AAM Updates Notifier: "I don't recall installing DW specifically for 64 bit.  If there was was an option I would have chosen 64 bit.Does 'Creative Cloud' keep DW up to date check 32 and 64 bit software.  I start DW from the 'Creative Cloud' icon on my Mac menu bar.  Going on 6 months using this Mac, I never saw this pop-up until now.I'm not sure what to do.  I would like the speed on 64 if I'm indeed using 32 DW.  Thanks in advance for all your help and support ========================================================================================How do I check if an app is 32-bit or 64-bit?From the Apple menu, choose About This Mac, then click the System Report button. Remote server access denied [was: Dreamweaver CC 19.0.1]

I am using Dreamweaver 19.0.1 on a Macbook Pro running macOS Mojave 10.14.2I have my site saved on a Sharepoint server. Since late yesterday, it has given me an access denied message when I try to save. I have checked all permissions on every file and folder and I have read and write access to everything. I set up a folder on my desktop but I am also denied access there, even though I am the administrator on my computer. I did not have this problem before yesterday afternoon. DW MX 2004 templates in CS6?

I am very late to this party but in the olden days I used DW MX 2004 to design a ton of sites.  I recently upgraded to CS6 version.I opened a couple of my old DWT files in CS6 and it seems as though they are not a compatible match.Is this so or am I missing something? A setting perhaps.If they are not compatible is there an imported or converter I should know about?Thanks allRG

dw 2019 javascript dom undefined

I just updated to Dreamweaver 2019 and now all the basic objects in JavaScript (e.g. document, window, alert, XMLHTTPRequest, etc.) are no longer defined. Lines that reference any JavaScript object have errors like, "ERROR: 'document' is not defined. [no-under]". What happened?
