I'm using an iMac with macOS High Sierra 10.13.3In Dreamweaver CC 2018 18.1 when I save a SCSS file I get the following output error. Red X,Line: --, Column:  1, File:  stylesheet.scssError/Warning: /LibraryRuby/Site/2.3.0/rubygems/resolver.rb:231:in 'search_for'; Unable to resolve dependency: user requested "did_you_mean (= 1.0.0)' (Gem:unsatisfiableDependencyError)Compiling was working for me earlier this week but Dreamweaver would freeze and crash about once and hour. (i use it 8+ hours a day). I updated dreamweaver and then the error happend.  I've reinstalled dreamweaver, installed/update xcode, updated Ruby, Gems, Homebrew, Rails. Anyone know what could be causing the problem?

Hello i am working on playing with some while loops in Dreamweaver. Its a number game where you have to guess the secret number which is 4. If you guess incorrect a prompt should be executed so you can guess again. My problem is the first prompt only executes and regardless of the number inserted nothing happens. I tried putting this code all in one script tag nothing prompts. I host a website through GoDaddy and I've neglected it of late. I haven't updated the site in at least a year, nor have I uploaded/downloaded anything to their server in all that time. I just checked the website, and except for the index page, all the other links are broken? In my DW CS6 on my computer, when I open one of these pages with broken links, the links are all still there, but they're broken links. I called GoDaddy about it, and they both absolved themselves of all responsibility since they don't support DW, and they also suggested that my site may have been hacked - and if I had just been paying them extra for security this wouldn't have happened(!)I may have a thousand links to have to manually re-link if I go that route. It would be nice to know what could have caused this before I work for two weeks re-linking everything, since it could very well happen again.

HiI got a new NAS for my files and now I wanted to create a new Dreamweaver Site for my several websites. But I'm not able to open files, which are located on my NAS. Every other Adobe program is able to open those files, but Dreamweaver sends me error messages like this:The files are 100% available, but they won't open.The NAS is connected by SMB to my iMac. Does anyone has an idea what I can do?Thx in advance.

Hello,My goal is to have a video automatically play on a webpage, when the page is clicked. I've followed these steps:In Dreamweaver click Insert > HTML> HTML5 VideoUploaded an MP4, Ogg, WebM and SWF video file format. In addition a PNG image for the Poster field.My results: the video plays fine within the webpage on my desktop computer. Unfortunately I can't get the video to play on my iPhone. It only displays the PNG "Poster" image.Here's the website incase it's helpful: VLC Intro,  then choose #1 Why Become tab, and the rabbit icon. I noticed that the PHP version in the cPanel of a website I am currently developing was set by default at version 7. I have been using 5.6 in my version of XAMPP I donwnloaded new roughly 1 1/2 years ago which is not very long. Has everyone moved on to version 7 but me?

i am in year 9 and i study computing and Interactive media (UK) and we have been developing websites with fireworks, dreamweaver and some other adobe apps, I wanted to work on my website at home but i don't know how to without these apps. I am not begging for a free product but is there a way i can get these programs for my computer without paying a incredibly high price?

I recently had to reinstall DreamWeaver 8 after a hard drive problem.  Clearly all of my previous settings were lost but I had a backup of the website..  My ISP provided me with the FTP username and password, the folder I needed to enter and the fact that FTP should not have a check in the 'secure' box.I have tried again and again to login but each time I get the message saying DW cannot make a connection to the host and either the usename of password is incorrect.  My ISP insist they have given me the correct details. I have searched online but most of the articles simply say either the username or password must be incorrect which it would appear cannot be the case.I have successfully used DW8 for many years without any problems so I am completely at a loss as to how to solve the problem.Any ideas will be most welcome.Ken

I've been running my own site for a few years and I've been hoping to someday add new coding to "spruce it up," so to speak. I've been finding and following tutorials on a few things, and I've been successful in some. But one that is perplexing me is adding drop down menus to my site. I followed a tutorial and actually made one by creating the property code on the same html page. But when I try to add that code to my CSS, it goes crazy. The menu doesn't keep the same spacing, and when I roll over the buttons, the drop down parts show up at the top of the screen. I'm thinking there's a conflict with the established code, but for the life of me, I can't find it.Any help is appreciated.

RE:  https://tarotreadingsbyjeannie.comHello,I am not a developer, but can follow directions if they include every step!  Recently, my website was hacked.  It is now restored, except I notice that there is a white space that appears to the right and at the bottom of my website when on google chrome on my desktop.  It also looks like the menu bar gets a little distorted above the headings.  It happens at various page size percentages.  I see it at 110% for example.  It seems fine on Safari and Firefox.  Any ideas.  Thank you in advance.I do not have access to dreamweaver, but I have access to my files on the server.Jeannie

Hi guys,I have a CSS issue I cant seem to resolve on a particular webpage, which I'm sure will stand out easily for most of you guys.. it's on the PC version, and is two boxes that are meant to be sitting next to the main content, on the right, at the top - but the problem page has those boxes sitting at the very bottom of the page, underneath the main content - and I cannot seem to get them to move up to the top-right position, on PC.    Any thoughts would be much appreciated.  I am using Dreamweaver CC and checking the page out in Chrome browser, on PC (I don't need any help with the mobile version thanks).The problem page is: https://mindtraining.net/hkis/sports-mental-training/dancing-dancers1.php​ (the titles of the two incorrectly-positioned boxes at the bottom of the main content are: 1. Hi, I am using git as my versioning system within Dreamweaver and also my code is pushed up to GiHub.  I am doing this using the Dreamweaver built in git support but I cant find a way to sign my commits with my GPG key.Also, when trying to commit from the git panel within Dreamweaver, I get the following error: "Git Commit Failed -Error: fatal: cannot run gpg:  No such file or directoryerror: gpg failed to sign the datafatal: failed to write commit object"However, if I open the Terminal (I can do this either by manually opening Terminal and navigating to the git repo or by clicking the Terminal button from the git panel in Dreamweaver) and manually run the command to sign my committhe commit goes through perfectly fine and is correctly signed.  The proof of this is in the screenshots below:and you can now see that my commit has been signed correctlyand on GitHub we see that the commit has been verifiedHaving just proven that I have my GPG keys set up correctly and that t

OK I am having an issue after the last update that was to allow me to use the Bootstrap 4.0 for the actual sites to migrate them over. I keep resetting the preferences and uninstalling the program but it still keeps giving me only 3.3.7 for the version for both of the options to choose for my sites.I took the liberty of a screenshot to show what it is only giving me. Anyone else had this issue or know of the work around for it? It has become a pain in my side for over a week and half now.

Hello, all,I have been working on a blog project, and with a few minor instances of troubleshooting it has been a pretty smooth job.  But I just discovered something odd about an expand/collapse that I have coded; it's nothing major, it's just a minor annoyance for someone as pedantic as I am/can be.There is a header called "Archive" that has a plus sign on the right.  When you click it, a div expands that shows years and the plus turns into a minus via jQuery.Then, click a year to display months in which at least one blog entry was submitted.Then click a month to display titles for entered blog posts.But, if you click a month to collapse the month, the minus in the header turns into a plus.Okay, so, Bootstrap is handling the expand/collapse, I just use classes on the elements, and BAM, done.  (Thanks, Bootstrap!)But I'm using jQuery to change the plus/minus, and only on the primary div via "shown.bs.collapse" and "hidden.bs.collapse".  So, when I collapse a month o

Hi,In the past I have created websites with multiple pages. Development was not too complex because anyone page never got two large.Now, I am attempting to work with a single page. Of course, this means that these single pages getting very large.Question: I am interested in any development tips of how to navigate around the page during development. For example, using the code disclosure triangles that can collapse or expand code can be a big help. But I'm curious how you can find sections of code that you might need to work on when the file gets very large?I'm interested in any tips to help with navigation with large files.ThanksDave

I would like a section to span edge to edge, however, the content within can stay in the main content standard area. It is the background cover image in this section I'd like to see fill that space. Hi all, When I use the find and replace tool in DW CC - and I search for some term – it brings up the multiple results in a tab view. As I recall in previous versions, if I was to click on one of the results it would immediately locate that result in the Code View window. This was very handy. It does not seem to work anymore. I would like to simply click on one of the results and have it is selected directly in the Code View window. Q:  How can I accomplish the same goal in the newer DW version? In my case I have various sections listed throughout a page. They all start with something like <!-- section-name is ccc -->. so, if I search for "section-name" then it will find all of these. Then, I just want to click on the one I want and it will jump to  the same in the  Code View window. Q: How best to do something like this? Maybe there is some newer, better way to do this?

Not a skilled site designer and would like to put up a basic site for my med device startup.  Have spent 2-3 days either watching DW videos online and/or reading manuals from library and old pdfs on DW 5 - 10+.  Synonyms seem to never go out of style.  Anyone know of a simple easy to understand 5 - 15 page user manual in pdf form so I may set up one very simple rather basic bland no frills vanilla website?  I find tissue engineering easier to understand than DW manuals, sadly.
