Dreamweaver

Anytime I go to Seach and use the open "Search In Files" Dreamweaver crashes... Just disappears form the screen and stops.   Works as expected in CC2017?The other search options work just fine...What can I do... Should I delete the app and re-insall it?

I just made a 2nd or 3rd  failed try at properly entering code to center my web pages in browser windows.  Part of the difficulty seems?? to my limited understanding to be that the methods described picture an arrangement of HTML and CSS that looks different from what I have where I have used the built-in CSS coding that you get in Dreamweaver by going to the Page Properties menu under File. This makes it diffcult or impossible to place the suggested  body wrapper and   CSS auto margin code so it works and centers the page  as desired. Since I have not yet uploaded my new site  I do not know how to present  the code so you might see where I am off.  Or perhaps there is a better approach to the problem you could suggest.  For a first try to show my most recent attempt I will enter the relevant sections of code  and below that the entire code for the page in question. Good afternoon all, The processs of retrieving files from my server, to be put back up again after editing a file within Dreamweaver 21.3 is painfully slow and laggy, often getting the "not responding" displayed in the header over the top of the application nav menus. I've had my IT team look at the my server to test the configuration, to see any issues. They were able to put a 1 gig file on my server with ease and rule the server being an issue. I then downloaded Filezilla and with the same FTP connection details I was able to retrieve, upload and edit files without an issue. Digging around on the internet brought me to: => https://community.adobe.com/t5/dreamweaver-discussions/dreamweaver-cc-2020-running-super-slow/td-p/11069319 Following the guidance I deleted "Temp File List" within Dreamweaver folder. I recently took over one of my company's website from another user. The website files are stored in our shared file service. I'm able to open them, make changes to the code, etc.; however, the changes won't show up on the actual website. But whenever you go back into the code, it shows my changes there. The only thing I've found in my research is that we may need to add a server for the website.  Any ideas on what the issue might be would be helpful!

Dreamweaver becomes unresponsive on launch, I get a pop up saying updating the site cache, then the spinning wheel and then I have to force quite the non responding application. I have tried deleteing the directory: User > me > library > Caches > com.adobe.dreamweaver-18.1 that did not help. I have found similar reports online but most seem to relate to windows environments.Any help greatly appreciated.

I have downloaded the trial DW and I can hardly see the various print sections on the program panel itself - view, file, etc.  I can see the coding (it is too big actually).  I have never seen a program with such tiny print in the menus and bars.  Can this be increased?   Can the font size in the display code section be decreased?  How please?   I am finding the size difference very difficult to work with.  I have six days left to see if I can work this and make it worth subscribing to.  Such a minor thing but with dyslexia it is proving to be something slowing things down considerably.  Attaching a screen shot I hope will illustrate the problem.  Thank you

I don't have a clue whether my question is a bug or a how to. I am getteing close to finishing my current version of my website.( I have learned a lot but as several note, have not advanced into best current code. I hope to try my hand at that but that comes after I finish this process).My question now is about the assets menu in Dreamweaver. I have been using it quite a bit to place images. But today it stopped showing images from the site folder when I open it. The images are still there and I have tried to open the assets on other pages from the one I am working on but same deal, no images listed. The little images icon on the top left of the  asset menu screen seems to be greyed and does not respond to a click. Any Ideas where to go from here to get that working properly?

I just purchased a new Mac and bought the Creative Cloud mainly for Dreamweaver.  It immediately goes to "Not Responding" upon trying to open.  I have Sonoma 14.2 with an M3 chip.  Is there going to be a fix soon or do I need to cancel my subscription?

Ich habe Dreamweaver CS 5.5 auf einem PC unter Win 10 laufen. Zudem ist eine zweite Installation auf einem Notebook, ebenfalls Win 10 vorhanden. Jetzt musste ich wegen Hardwareproblemen auf einen neuen PC mit Win 11 umziehen. Die Installation verlief problemlos. Nur die Aktivierung nicht. Da ich den Key schon zweimal verwendet habe, sollte ich ihn erst auf dem alten Rechner freigeben und dann neu aktivieren. Hier beginnt mein Problem. Die Stelle in der Software, wo ich den DW auf dem alten Rechner deaktivieren kann, habe ich zwar gefunden, aber es funktioniert nicht. Damit ist eine Aktivierung auf dem neuen Rechner nicht möglich. Mache ich was falsch oder unterstützt Adobe das nicht mehr?

Please check why the software redirecting to this domain. Is this normal or should be blocked traffic? Thank you!

For a while I have had a php file that will not render in Live view. I have discovered that if I simply resave that file to a new file name it works perfectly. It is a very simple file which I will attach. However if I then save the new working version to the old file name it still won't work with that old file name.  Just will not render it live view. Still works in Preview in a browser just fine so XAMPP and localhost are setup correctly. It's like Dreamweaver has saved that file name somewhere and it is corrupt. I have cleared the WinFileCache in the configuration folder but the problem persists. Windows 11Dreamweaver CC 2021 Anybody seen ths problem?

Hey everyone! Had a system crash bring down my productiuon machine.. and liming along on my backup system. Got Dreamweaver setup and synced settings... I develop Wordpress Themes mainly... but it refuses to display the code! I open a .php file and all I see is "1".. once in a very infrequent blue moon it will show the code, but most just show the "1". I can open .css files and .html files without issue.

Okay, my site has developed a serious glitch which seems to be related to my using way too many dropdown menus. Or at any rate that's where things started glitching first. I knew that the site was a stop-gap when I uploaded it, so I'm not too surprised to be back at square #1 again. I'm not a web developer and don't especially enjoy it, but I've had the site for 20 years, and don't feel like giving it up. However, at present it's next to unusable. It's a largish site with something on the order of a couple of hundred pages. So it needs a lot of navigation assistance. It is split up into a number of different collections and sub-collections, but a couple of those contain up to something like 80+ pages, and thats a lot of links.   The current site uses dropdowns from a fixed-position header. But that doesn't seem to be working out at all. It wasn't *quite* as bad before I split the menus up into many more dropdowns to shorten the menus, keeping fully visible on a laptop sc

Well, it  probably ia an oops.It's been a couple of years since my last rebuild, and I had vaguely remembered that setting up the .git account and repository didn't seem to do anything, although there is an invisible .git folder inside my website folder when I look into that folder from inside the program to show for it.  So, having set up an account once, it didn't sink in that I'd need to do this again for *every* site I build. So I skipped it, when I started this lattest rebuild.Now I've got a rebuilt site, and have realized that I probably may need to set this up. And the panel for doing it is gone, since I didn't do it at the outset. The question is:First; is this trip even necessesary? I don't recall doing this for the 2013 rebuild (and there is no such .git folder inside that site's folder). That site worked perfectly acceptably for nearly a decade. Dear all, I have a google analytics script I need to place in the code of my website www.dickensfellowship.nl.The instructions tell that I must place in under the <head> tag on each html-page. Since my website has many pages, this will take a lot of work. As most pages are connected to a template I thought it was best to put this code in there instead and update the connected pages so that I could save time. However, I'm not sure if this code will work when it's placed in a non-editable region within a page. What's your experience? Your advice? Silly question, perhaps.

So a trivial thing to some I suppose - but the App Theme Choices in the newer versions of DW do not allow for white backgrounds for the various panels. Specifically, a white background for the Files Panel. I hate the light gray and would like very much to make it white. I have tried the main.less code with no success. My guess is it is much deeper - or not avaialbe at all. Hoping some hero can direct me to where I can fix this. It's odd to me that adobe would provide 4 choices of gray - and eliminate white altoghether.thank you...

Hi everybody, does anybody know how you would make a table in html so you can have columns of different widths within rows of the same table? Would you need to insert tables within the table? I have uploaded a picture to try to explain what I mean.Basically, I have numerous rows with three columns in, the first column is for images which are all the same size, a 65px square, but the next column for another image which is various widths, the remainder of the row is another column which has text in it. The problem is when you try to make this layout the second column will go to the width of the widest one (which is the second row down) on all of them!What is the best way of making various width columns across numerous rows? Like in the picture! Thanks for your help.
