Dreamweaver CC. Windows 10Using a David Powers tutorial in Lynda and his exercise files all is well. I load a file and Split view and Live shows the web site being designed and the Code as expected.I then tried to setup with a local server fro a dynamic site. Site - Manage sitesServer setup - Testing Server button selected then Finally in the Advanced box I have ticked Maintain synch and Model PHP MySQL selected. Auto Push ticked.The site appears as exced in my Filepe box but when I load a file to edit I can see the page in Design view and the Code below, but i I switch to Live view, the page disappears and I just see a white box.Clicking on Real time preview results in the error message This site can’t be reachedlocalhost refused to connect.Try:Checking the connectionChecking the proxy and the firewallERR_CONNECTION_REFUSEDWhat have I done wrong!
I am running CS5.5 version 11.4 build 5366 on MAC OS Sierra. Dreamweaver keeps just shutting down, it turns right off... poof it's gone ans so is anything I haven't saved.Please help!
After I reinstall my win7 system I installed DW in my PC. I have three problem below1. I found that my Preference window look like that (its width is so long)who can tell me how to adjust it ?? 2. Also I can't solve why this icon " > " are covered by files..... does anyone who knows how to solve that...3. button in right bottom are disappeared
dreamweaver 2017 crash CSS Designer background imageI have been taking the lynda.com course for Dreamweaver 2017 essentials.While using css designer to add a background image via file folder, it opens the search, I click site root, go into folder, select image, open, CRASH. This also has happened while copying and pasting color hex values from library. It also kills the adobe creative cloud app.Rolling back to 2015 is not an option.I have also attached screen prints, system info, video card info, 2 debug reports. Hi, I have a local webserver running on a Raspberry Pi 3. It's just for testing and I want to edit some wordpress-pages now though I can't get Dreamweaver to connect ot the SFTP on the Pi. I have no problem to connect with WinSCP, though. The internal client gives me a wrong Passwort error I guess.I even gave root a password, but still no luck. Any idea what I can try?
The Dreamweaver implementation of Git actually works very well and it has a user interface that fits nicely into the DW workflow. However, I'm using Dreamweaver with Bitbucket and I don't get any notifications when there are pulls to be made from the server. I don't know if Dreamweaver check the remote repository at all, but it would be nice to have some controls to set if and how often to check remotes.This could be a set of global options, but I guess it only needs to check the selected project/site.

HiI write tutorials for school students. In our CC 2015 edition, we had the following (with visual examples):1. Recent versions of Dreamweaver have a JavaScript debugger which will find some mistakes. Errors are displayed in a dark bar near the top of the screen. 2. Dreamweaver will colour the code in a way that may help you detect some errors. This will come with practice.With 2017, I can't get DW to identify any errors, even if I type the following:<script>alrt ("Hello. How are you today?")</script>I've tried the output console and code inspector.Are there any simple debugging tools I can suggest to beginners, or is there a problem with my installation?Thanks

It used to be that if I made any change to a filename in the files panel, DW had already cataloged all the files in the site that link tot he previous name, and it would ask me if I wanted to change all those links to the new filename. Suddenly, with a site that I have just imported from a client's files, this is not working. What do I need to change/set for this assistance?You know how it is: a client hands over all the files to you for an upgrade, and you discover all the filenames have inconsistencies, horrible names, illegal characters, scattered in various folders, or all dumped in the root folder... you want to tidy up. It used to be that if I dragged a file to a folder in the files panel, DW would warn me and ask if I wanted to update all the files that link to it. Pressing Okay would solve it near-instantly. Same for editing a filename (renaming), or appending "l" to ".htm" files and the like. !Somehow I have "turned off" this feature. Can anyone tell me how to get it back? Mus
Sites often use .asp files for you to download that are their forms to be viewed in PDF form. When clicking on those files on my Mac in either Firefox or Safari, the file is opened automatically in Dreamweaver, showing it in coding format. If I try to open the ASP file from the Download folder with Reader, it starts, then I'm told there's a problem with the file and it can't be opened. Have run into this problem with other computers.Chris

I have been trying this for ages and nothing has really helped and I am just going round in circles.My site contains thousands of individual pages that I want be found quickly and without using the Google Search which I currently have. The site is basically split between country and then further split into brand and some are split by year.I have installed MAMP (as I am using a Mac) and tried to create a database. I discovered that there were not enough rows (only 40 max) and looked into it. This led me to discovering that I need to create php pages which I did containing a search box and another for the results. Tried it and I was prompted to set up a test server which I did. The result when I tested the pages was that I received an 404 error. Even basic html pages showed the same.Surely there has to be a simplified tutorial, step-by-step to help with this difficult task.I am not afraid of working with it but at the same time I am not comfortable with long passages of text that waffle

So, the preview window does not actually update live, it needs to be reloaded to reflect any changes made. After watching videos online of people using this feature successfully, I gather this is not the intended behaviour of this feature. Does anybody know of a fix for this, its very annoying.Many thanks!

Thi is a new issue and Im not even sure why its happening all of a sudden but design view has removed the option to paste text into the page. I can still paste using code view. I would use code view, but I'm translating a site so need to keep all original links in tact. How do I get design view to work again?I cleared my settings using CMD+ALT+Shift on start up...so this is most def not the fix. As a side note - Is there anyway to purchase a previous version of DW? The 2017 copy is such a time killer that I hardly ever use my Mac anymore. So slow and so buggy...
Every time I click on an image on my website (to select it) there is a blue outline (that represents the hot spot) which can be seen. I spoke to Adobe tech support but they were unable to help me. Help ...please! (PS. I'm on a Mac)
So, What the heck is going on here? I am on a Mac, running Sierra 10.12.1, Dreamweaver 2017 build 9315, I highlight a line of code in code view, hit command+c and it highlights the entire page to be copied. Some times I have to re-try copying the line 3 times before it copied correctly to the clipboard. Then, when I go to paste sometimes it immediately jumps to the bottom of the page and pastes there? Do I need to revert back to using Dreamweaver CC 2015? Because this update really took a big spiral downward for me. Especially with the split code-code view jumping around whenever I click anywhere in another view.
