Dreamweaver

Just downloaded dreamweaver trial cc new version to see how the fluid grid works as per video but in file new I do not see fluid grid layout anywhere. Any ideas why not?.

I was happy to see Dreamweaver started to let us use an internal preprocessor. We use less on our sites.Unfortunately when we only have a live site configured the generated CSS file is not auto-uploaded to the server. We have to also specify a test server in order for this to work. That's to bad, because we only want to set up a live server in most cases. We could have a discussion about whether we should or not, but I would only like to find out if this is an issue for others to and if maybe we have missed some option to get this working in our preferred setup (only live site). If this is not possible, how can we ask Adobe to make this possible?

I run several websites coded in DW. One and only one crashes DW the second I try to open that site in DW. The only way to fix it is to delete the MacFileCache-********.dat files and restart my Mac. Usually works. But it is SUPER annoying. Why do I have to do this with only one site and not the others? How do I permanently fix this so I don't keep having to do deal with crashing?

Hi,I have started to build a new website for one of my clients, but I'm having a little issue with the navigation bar.First of all, I would like it to be collapsed in all screen sizes, how do I manage that.Secondly, when I make the screen smaller, the navigation "disappears" behind the images in the header, how can I move it to the front?Website here: Välkommen till Norrbilar! I had a portfolio site already built with an older version of Dreamweaver and I am reusing it.  I am reusing it because I am switching hosting service from FatCow to Godaddy.  I have talked with Godaddy and all the connections are set correctly.  Previously, I could upload the primary folder that held everything and upload it.  That didn't work.  So I uploaded the next 2 primary folders and for some reason they did upload.   Working with image adjustments, I have tried fixing a page and removing the old from the 'remote' and replacing it with improved page...there are other pages linked to these pages.  Say there are 10 images and during the process of up loading only 4 will upload, the process will say 'incomplete', stop and quit.  Never had problems before using this version.   suggestion???As far as images, I know that they are correct.  One page, I have rebuilt several times- a table with the images nested in it-, it looks

Using srcset and sizes to deliver scaled image below 420px breakpoint.It looks simple enough, yet I’m missing something. Earlier today, I was working on a site. Dreamweaver closed normally. This afternoon, it crashes on startup.When I launch the program, it reports a crash, I click "Cancel", and then it reports another crash.I tried restarting Dreamweaver with Ctrl-Alt-Win + click on the exe file. Same behavior.I then backed up the "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2017" key and deleted it from the registry and renamed %APPDATA%\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2017. When Dreamweaver starts, it recreates the directory and the registry key, then crashes twice as before.What else might I try to resolve this?Thanks.

Using Dreamweaver CS3 (yes dinosaur!)Application is beachballing when i try to use a Regular Expression Find and Replace.Was working fine - then intermittent - then consistent - so it's progressively got worse over the last 24 hours.Any suggestions as to what could be causing it?Any Preferences settings you'd suggest i switch off/on?running on an iMac OS 10.9.5

I use dream weaver cs4 on windows 7 to update my website (that was built by someone that can no longer help us) but as of yesterday, we are unable to "site ->put" or "site-> get" (those tabs are inactive and faded out, so we cannot click on them). We have had this website for 7 years and have never had issues with dreamweaver.  This all started when we started seeing network connection error messages on our windows 7 computer, but not sure if this is related.  The website was down for 1 day, but the website is working again now, but we cannot use the "PUT" and "GET" buttons anymore to update our website. We asked for help from 3 local computer consultants and they did a test of our FTP and server connections and those are working, but they cannot help us further, as they do not specialize in dreamweaver. Strange... whenever I press "I" (Uppercase "i") in code view (and only in code view) the clipboards content will be inserted.I've checked the shortcut settings and went back to factory defaults – without success.How can that be...?

Hello im Jerry,I'm a Game Developer for a company and i was wondering how i could use Dreamweaver to create my Design Document for my project. For those who don't know a Design Document is a Doc that houses pretty much everything that will go into the game. So i would need sections of the site dedicated to Story, Characters, backstories, Mechanics and so on and so forth. Then a index to link to all of those sections on the site. So if you could help me i would be very greatful. Also the main reason i ask is because there was a YouTube tutorial that showed me how to do this once but i cant seem to find it. Hi everybody!  I have a problem that tends to pop up from time to time - way extra space on the website that is not seen when looking at it in dreamweaver.Most of the time - sometimes after a long long time of poring over the code - I can usually fix it.  This time it is a HUGE space and I've looked and looked in the code and cannot figure out where that space is coming from.Since I don't know where the problem is I cannot really copy and paste the code right here ... so if you could go to the website, see the problem (it's on the front page!), and then look in the code from there, it would be so very helpful.It is so embarrassing to have this website out there looking like that ... 😞  Here is the link to the website:  Springfield Vermont Steampunk Festival ~ September 23 & 24 ~ 2017 I am not a professional website designer.  I do it more for fun because I enjoy doing it especially from a blank page and putting it all together without a template.&nb

Hi everybody,I'm hoping some can shed some light on this because I'm at a complete loss. Ok, so I have a .css file which when I link to it Dreamweaver is finding the actual file. However,  when I'm in the 'code' view, a red-dot appears next to the file to indicate that it's missing. The files window can see the file is there in the correct location. Yet, Dreamweaver complains that file is missing in the 'code'.Any ideas?Thanks in advance

I had a website built 2 years ago. Last year I paid the builder an annual fee. This year an amount was deducted from my account. He has told me that this is now looked after by adobe and that I should have received an email priuor to advised that a payment is due.I haven't received any email. I contacted adobe and was told to go through the forums for answers.As I am a newbie I don't know who to contact as I have had no communication from adobe.Any help would be great.

Hi, I just downloaded CC 2017. I'm wondering if there is an automated way to clean a messy css, deleting tags that are not used and things like that.I'm trying to put order in a website that I did non create myself (I inherited it from someone who modified a template bought on internet) with bootstrap jquery etc. There is much more code than it is needed, and I'm looking for a tool like 'Tools > Clean Up HTML' that works for css.Thank you for your helpElena

Before Dreamweaver 2015, when switching back and forth between 'code' and 'design' views, I'm was taken back to the line of code I was originally editing. Now, in DW 2015, when I switch back to code view from design, I find myself at the top of the file design view on the split screen and can't see how the change I'm making looks until I go back over to design view and scroll down the page to find the section of text again. It is very frustrating. Anyone know a way to to make going from code click to design click have the same spot/section viewable? Thank you.

Hi,My navicon rolls out a dropdown menu at tablet view. I would like the solid color in the background, behind the menu links to span the screen from edge to edge with that background color so user's eye zeros in better on the menu vs. it being presented in a slim vertical presentation.Not sure what property I need to add to get this effect? I tried margin: 0 auto;  - but that did nothing. (using Bootstrap)Thank you!

Hi Devs,I use Dreamweaver since the early versions of Macromedia and the latter two versions (CC 2015 and CC 2017) are the worst I've ever used.The software is extremely slow to perform any process. This is slow to load the files and does not generate productivity when writing some code.I started using Netbeans to work and will downgrade to CS6 or CC 2014 version.Thanks
