Template child pages not updating - clearing cache

Hi everyone, I need to clear Dreamweaver’s cache because the template child pages aren’t updating. It has happened before, but I can’t remember where to find the cache and which files need to be tossed. With the ALT key pressed, I select “Library” from under the GO menu. In the Cache folder, I see the following three files related to Dreamweaver. Are these the files that need to go? If not, what should I be looking for, and where? Cache.dbChache.db-shmCache.db-wal Still waiting for an update for Dreamweaver. It pains me to see Adobe abandon the program. Thanks. Mark

I am running my mac on OS 10.14.6    if I upgrade to the new Sonoma OS, will dreamweaver Cs6 work? How about Adobe photoshop elements 10  ?  if these won't work on the new OS what options will I have

File/Open in Browser: the “floats” do not work

When using File/Open in Browser the “floats” do not work. Pictures messed up. Tried both Chrome and Firefox. The Split view does the floating correct though. I know about this problem from before but can’t remember what to do. Please remind me,Thanks, Ingemar

Dreamweaver CS4 problem [CS4 IS DEAD]

My Dreamweaver CS4 (installed in 2019 on my new WIndows 10 laptop using an installation package online) was working fine until the beginning of October 2023. Then one day it refused to launch; the error message said that it could not find file "libcurl.dll".  I did look into the Dreamweaver program file that contained all the .dll file and indeed that file was not there. Subsequently I looked into other application subfolders under my Adobe CS4 folder and I did find a file with that name in a different Adobe subfolder. I copied the file into the Dreamweaver CS4 program folder. After doing that, Dreamweaver is now launching but I can only edit local .http files. When I try to "put" (upload) the .http file onto the remote folder (ftp server) I am receivng the error message "An FTP error occured-cannot make connection to host"   (note that I did not chenge any remote info under the "Site" tab)   Any ideas/suggestions ?

Auto upload .css file generated by LESS compiler

Hi,I have "auto upload" activated on save but when I save a .less file and it's compiled, it won't upload the .css file and I have to do it manualy. Is it possible to fix that?Thanks,Nicolas

Is it possible to load a previous version of Dreamweaver instead of 20/21.x?

I bought what I had thought was a legitimate version of CS6 back in 2019, only to get a notification from Adobe that the serial number was void and the program would stop working in ten days. Drat I said and then decided to use the subscription model (which I hate) and see what Adobe has to offer now. Installing the new Dreamweaver went OK, but it isn't ANYTHING like the CS6 version and I can't figure out how to use it to do what I could do quickly and easily with CS6.Most frustrated that I can't go back to earlier versions of Dreamweaver that I am familiar with - I don't want to spend a week or two getting up to speed with the latest version if possible - I have other things to do with my time.

why design mode not show images in webp format???

I have changed my images from jpg to webp but in design mode it does not show me any images but in live and in the web browser everything should be correct.Does anyone know any solution?

DW 8 save buttons don't work

Using DW8 on Window 7.  Sinds yesterday, no reason at all, the save, save as, Ctrl-S don't work anymore.  I get a message at starting saying to 'reinstall the program' (no error code) I reinstalled DW8 but nothing changes. Anybody an Idea?

Is the form insecure and autofill disabled only in Chrome? How can I fix this?

I've noticed that the form on [spam removed] is flagged as insecure, and the autofill feature is disabled. This issue seems to occur only when using Chrome. Can anyone provide a solution or explain why this is happening specifically in Chrome?

Dreamweaver - ALL file associations lost?

I am working on a 2019 Mac Pro OS 12.7 and DW v.21.3 This is the first time I have launched DW since upgrading all my other CC apps this week, so I am not sure if my problem is associated with that? I have about 100 clients' websites that I manage with DW and my worst nightmare just came to pass. When I launched DW today, the Files window in DW which usually lists ALL my websites just opened to the top level of my hard drive and says "computer". So it apparently has lost its pointer to the location of all my previous website files (including all the server settings, etc.). I have not had a hard drive crash or anything, so all my files should still exist, but how/where to I point DW to find whatever it needs to re-link the previous associations? HELP!

Advanced Acrobat [Adobe Experience Manager]

I'd like to build a PDF in Acrobat then send information filled in a HTML form to fill the PDF form. End user could could be asked a Question, then it is being filled in the form. Then a pdf is available for download or available on the server. I have accomplished HTML to PDF but not very good looking. Having line spaces and font sizes match Law Conformities (Rules of Court) fail. I can build the form in PDF that's easy and done. But I'd like users to go to a site and I can fill the PDF in the background. Other languages might need to be involved. Java-Script, python, php, html , node etc....tough one. I just need to understand how to access fields through a programming language. I can send a string over to a field name.

Are Adobe planning to discontinue support for Dreamweaver ?It seems to be taking a backseat.For example, 1fr is still a bug in linter since reported in 2018.This may just be my impression, but it is important to me as I use it for coding static sites.Has anyone information please?

Simple cart page

I am looking for help to make something for a non-profit organizationthis is what i have:an SQL database with 1 table containing the names of photos (foto1.jpg, foto2.jpg..)what i want to do:create a page where I show the photos, for each photo it can be thrown into a "shopping cart" - OR - selected and instead of a checkout you can print the selected photos.The idea is to make a kind of wish list for children for Christmas, which they can then print out.So it should be very easy to operate.Who can and wants to help me with this?

side by side content in a section for desktop vs. visual hierarchy of same content for mobile

Hi, I am wondering how, structurally, I can take control and alter the visual hierarchy if a section is split with text on left and image on right... but when collapsed for mobile, default means all is stacked in a single column in that order. e.g. text appears first, then the image.I would like to alter this so that the image winds up on top of the text and ensure it indeed pushes down the text (boundary box) so that the image does not wind up floating on top of the text. Any reference or resources for this you can bring to my attn? Thank you.

Difference in appearance between http and https?

My husband recently passed away and I created a tribute page for him. However, the style page is attaching to the http://dulemba.com/Stan.html page, but not to the https://dulemba.com/Stan.html page. That "s" (security) seems to be canceling out my coding somehow (the code is the same); and yet, that's the address I sent to everyone. Any thoughts as to how to fix this? Thanks, e

Malfunction on my Files panel (spanish version)

Hi everyone,since a time ago I've detected a minor although anoying problem in the Files panel, Adobe Dreamweaver 21.3 (this also happened in older versions). When I manage files, refresh or whatever action it is, the icons part in the top window starts to shrink like in the image.Does anyone know how to fix it? Editing Epubs in Dreamweaver

Hi,I created a reflowable epub file using Indesign without any difficulties. Unfortunately, InDesign generates a tremendous amount of unnecessary code that makes it very difficult to edit or compliant with Kindle specs. Using Libre Office, I can export the document as a .html file and open it in Dreamweaver. Being familiar with Dreamweaver, it would be much easier for me to edit the code, so I would prefer to proceed in this way.Is anybody using Dreamweaver to edit/create their epub files? sticky nav background-img on scroll issue

Hi, I applied a background image to my sticky navbar. However, it only appears upon scrolling  the page.Initially, the background is transparent. - I cannot find how to target this to ensure my background image also reveals prior to end-user scrolling... In property inspector, I see element.style {background-image: none;} and when I turn off that style, the background-img successfully displays. Question is, there is no element.style in the CSS or HTML. - It's like a phantom style. ...How do I pinpoint this to remove from the code?<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-light fixed-top py-3 d-block" data-navbar-on-scroll="data-navbar-on-scroll" style="background-image: none;"> Thank you.

Why do dreamweaver updates always delete my site definitions and local sites?

Everytime dreamweaver updates, it always deletes all my site information and local sites from my computer. I always have to recreate the sites and redownload everything from the servers. It's incredibly annoying. Why do they do this!

WANT NO LINE BREAK

How can I prevent a line break before a hyper link / image?  The page with the problem is:  https://www.september8th.com/travel-hudson-kingston1.htmlRight before the "tourist stop" image w/link to website and after the page navigation buttons (only 1 of 1 here), there is two line breaks (spaces).  Go to another page (example:  https://www.september8th.com/travel-antonio1.html  )   and there is only one line break (space), of which I want to match all pages to). Any solution???    Walter
