How is this parallax "down" arrow done?

Making html-based manuals

Hello.I am currently researching viable options for my workplace, which produces manuals for electonics, in order to encourage paperless production of said manuals.One of the many options raised was HTML-based manuals.With that in mind, we have done a little research and found that, depending on the product, Java may or may not be allowed, due to browser restrictions, etc.As such, we are looking at viable options and DW has been suggested by one of our staff who has moderate knowledge of HTML.My question is, how flexible is the DW suite with regards to creating something like a HTML-based manual, where the Java script may/may not be compatible or where a index.html file may not be required due to internal software automatically creating a Table of Contents, based on the exisiting html files?Further, if anyone has some better suggestion regarding software to use for HTML-based manual creation, it would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Find & Replace save/load query missing (Dreamweaver 2017)

Updated to the 2017 version of DW and quickly found out that the load / save query option in find and replace is gone.I regularly have to use this feature to add inline styles to the p tags of text that will go into an email (and various other functions)Now this is removed I cant load my query to add the font styles, sizes, colour and other CSS attributes without manually copying and pasting the changes into find and replace. This adds a considerable amount of time to production slowing the work flow.Therefore I have had to revert back to the old version. This feature missing makes the new version not adjudicate for the job.When will the feature be back?

Testing server with WAMP

Hello, everyone! I have set up a testing server for my Dreamweaver website using WAMP. When I try the Live view or try to see the website in a browser, the pages seem to have a problem loading the .css files which are inserted in a php include.Does someone know how to solve this or what may be the cause of this error?Thanks!

Hi,I'm currently watching the tutorial videos. The speaker simply presses types the code (e.g. nav), then presses space bar, and the dreamweaver adds all the opening and closing brackets. Why doesn't it work when I do the same?Regards,

Navbar is hiding on my carousel when switching into smaller browser

Hi there,I'm new to Dreamweaver also I'm studying Dreamweaver CC2017 which part of my CIS course. I have my final project and I made a website, everything is working fine not until I saw my navigation bar are hiding under my slider when I switched my browser to a smaller view like iPhone. Hey, design view cannot display these litmus templates, image attached. Everyone else on the litmus forums can see the preview in the newest dreamweaver but not me? I reinstalled and same problem. Thanks for any help!

Search for a tag inside a tag that has a class

Yet another search related question from me, once again using Dreamweaver 2015;So one of the ways the HTML documents I'm working on is basically broken is there's a disgustingly shockingly large number of structural tables, all of them completely broken in their code. (It's so bad I routinely just strip all the <col> and <tbody> tags and re-build them later because they're ALL incorrectly applied and have a couple of saved searches set up to add in missing <tr> tags...yes, it's that bad)One thing I'd like to be able to fix is automating the correction of the header cells in the assigned header columns and rows. The "header columns" is actually fairly easy to fix, each <td> is assigned the "tablelables2" class (no, I didn't come up with these class names), so simply doing a search for all <td> tags with class="tablelables2" and replacing them with <th> tags works just fine.It's the header rows that the problem occurs. i wanna make  dynamic website with header images layer 3d parallax , like this site:http://www.firewatchgame.com/ , so how to do that ?and the position of image , i made every image layers position : absolute , top:0px; left:0px;  and they all went up on the header as i wanted , ok at this point all is ok but when i make a div or any think is went behind the header images ! even i make the position : relative,so what is the right way to deal with?and how to make it responsive ?iam new in Dreamweaver but i think i can  .and thanx for ur help .

Dreamweaver won't let me view code

I've been having this problem since upgrading to 2017.1Intermittently, the code does not show, which makes it impossible for me to edit a file.  I normally work in split code/design mode.  At some point, I'll open a file, and the code portion is all white or all grey.  No code. Once this happens, I can't view code no matter what view I try.  Closing the page and re-opening it does not help.  I have deleted my preferences, but the problem has returned.It could be this starts to happen when I have a lot of pages open.It goes away (temporarily at least) when I quit and restart Dreamweaver.Anyone else had this happen?

Hello,In need of some help here. I want to create a navigation menu where the menu shows when I mouse over a picture and the menu disappears on mouse out. Till here things worked out (see Greece/Persia pic: www.laiglewargames.com). Problem is when I am on the menu and wanting to select a naviagation item the menu does not remain stable and ofcourse when I go out of the pic it disappears. Dreamweaver CS5 won't run after last night's Mac OS update

Hi,I checked with Adobe and they suggested I download and install a new copy. I downloaded the image, when I select it, I get a screen with Dreamweaver CS5. When I double click that, finder opens a window with install.app. I double click that and get a message 'Install.app can't be opened. You should eject the disk image'. When I do, it closes.Any thoughts?Thanks,Doug

Border-box within Fluid-grid layout extends beyond border

Sync between 2 servers

Is their a way in DreamWeaver to update a server and make it sync with another server. For example if you have a sandbox server and after you finish changes on the files, you want to publish the updates to your main server. The only way I found is to update manually all the files.

Using regular expressions to remove extra spaces

Those who've looked into my previously posted questions will know I'm dealing with large batches of static web pages created by teams of people who essentially are simply copy/pasting the content into some "templates" (pre-made HTML files that are opened in Dreamweaver and the data pasted in, not actual Dreamweaver templates). This results in a large number of artifacts that I've been using Dreamweaver 2015's saved search function to remedy.The one area that I don't have a saved search for is when large blocks of spaces show up in the pasted text. Example:"I am              the very model of a modern Major                                                     General."
