I have been considering purchasing/downloading the latest version of Dreamweaver, as I wish to build, design and manage my own website.But as a complete novice, I'm wondering whether it may be too technical and complicated for my poor little brain and whether I might benefit from a simpler programme?I realise a lot depends on what I require but my current website martinvallis.com not designed by me, is all that I require. Nothing fancy.Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.Thanks
I agreed to a 1 year creative cloud term with Adobe to use Dreamweaver. I have had numerous problems with the software. It take up to 3 minutes to open and some files it won't open at all. But I kept my agreement and continued paying the monthly fees until my year was complete.Now after 1 year I want to cancel my subscription and I was told that I will be charged $109, that the subscription automatically renews for ANOTHER YEAR!I did not agree to this and will be posting this to many social media accounts and contacting the credit card company next to report this as fraud and a unauthorized charge.I expect more from Adobe (we all do).Scott
Hi,Dreamweaver is placing templates in parent folder of my site rather than within the HTML folder (how I've done this with past sites). Could this cause issues?thank you!

Dreamwever CC 2017 Dark Pastel theme for all which is not like a default dark canary theme. not all languages are modified!- close dreamweaver (if is open)- download theme file- unpack and copy content (folder Pastel Dark) to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2017\en_US\Configuration\Brackets\extensions\user- start dreamweaver- go to Edit > Preferences (CTRL + U) > Interface- set Code Theme to Pastel Dark- click Apply and enjoy!(used font: Fira Mono)use and enjoy.thank!

I am trying to build a responsive website and I can not get it to flow correctly. I'm sure it's something simple but I seem to be overlooking it. Here is my issues...The site when in a larger format (tablet or desktop) is not flowing the images (which are in div tags) in a row but instead, it is leaving them in a single column. The background which these divs are located on top of is being knocked out for the site's main background color. ANY help with this will be GREATLY appreciated. Hello this morning I fired up dreamweaver and noticed a negative development. I am accustomed to opening a file and seeing easy-access links to all the support CSS, Javascript and PHP includes available to the right of the source code in the toolbar. Now the php includes are gone. Does anyone know what happened to them and how to get them back?Thanks in advance for any advice.

I am designing a website that has to take into account Section 508 requirements. They usually concern providing a description for images using the alt element and providing a key-entered alternative to access various form fields. My question is since text should be visible even with CSS disabled, does that mean that I should plan on black text on a white background only? I don't know if white text on a black background will even be visible with CSS disabled.

I upgraded to Dreamweaver 2017, found out about the hi-resolution display bug (how ridiculous is that?), and reverted to Dreamweaver 2015. I can't seem to centre my cascading navbar within my fluid grid layout. I've tried setting ul margins to 0px auto but it knocks the submenus out and seems to remove the fluidity for the mobile grid. I'm quite sure it'll be something very obvious, but I can't think what. Can anyone help?
I have used images for my main menu items and cascading block for the sub items. The main menu items show the images I want, but with the colour block behind them, which I don't want. How do I make the block on the main menu invisible, or remove it completely, without it affecting the sub menu colours and hovers?
When editing a site in "Managed Site" mode... ONLY the "LIVE" view button is available. When I edit a page that is not part of a "Managed Site", then the Design & Live view dropdown has both options. I still want "Design View" when editing a "Managed Site"Thanks

I'm adapting a desktop layout for mobile, and what should be a useful feature -- ie, mobile devices' ability to auto-fit layouts that would otherwise be too large into the viewport -- is proving to be an obstacle. Basically, I created a layout that has max-widths and min-widths specified on the main divs, specifically to deal with a large (desktop) and narrow (mobile) viewports.The wide desktop layout will fill about 1000px in width of actual content. If I narrow the browser's viewport to half that (to simulate a narrow mobile view), the DIVs gracefully narrow while font size stays the same. In theory, all my bases are covered for 500px upward (it stops at 1000px)The only problem is that my iPhone and iPad try to accommodate the max-width value of the desktop layout instead of falling back on min-width. Like it's trying to be TOO useful. So what I end up with is a zoomed-out layout that's difficult to read due to tiny font size.Is there a command I can include somewhere that'll tell mo
Hey Guys,I am pulling my hair out with this one.. I built a website with Boostrap in Dreamweaver CC 2017,and all is good, but when you build a page using bootstrap it puts a jQuery call at the bottom or the page example below... The problem arises when I try to add a random image rotator that also uses jQuery but a different version, and so if I get rid of the jQuery call at the bottom of the page (1.11.3min.js) the navbar dropdown menus stop working, but the random image rotator works. And if I get rid of the call for the random rotator the navbar starts working again..I have tried several different image rotators that are jQuery and they will not work while the Boostrap jQuery call is at the bottom of the page.How can I get all to work on the page?
