Dreamweaver

Hi,I have experience working with Dreamweaver 6 and find it excellent.The CSS panel in particular for editing CSS on the fly.I do not see this feature in Dreamweaver CC.In CSS Designer, I see no option to view all the CSS attributes in a selected area. AT first view, CC seems like a step back from 6 in terms of quick CSS edits and viewing multiple CSS figures in a neat box.See attached screens.Any ideas would be appreciated... Thanks.

Hi,I keep getting the same message everytime I open up Dreamweaver. I've followed many instructions on Youtube and other forums; however, I can't seem to locate the Win Cache file in the >Users > (My Name) > AppData > Adobe > Roaming > Dreamweaver CC 2017 > en_US > ConfigurationI've checked the hidden items and file extensions in the view menu, but can't see the cache file. Could it be hidden another folder?Please help or I might be forced to ask for my money back!

I have set up a responsive site using Dreamweaver 2017 and the only glitch I seem to have is with the responsive images.My images are a little over 800px wide.  I place them into a column at a browser width of 1240px.  Everything looks good.When i make the width smaller everything looks good.  But when I make the screen say 1600px wide the photos do not get any larger causing the entire two column layout to stay to the right with more space being added to the right hand side of the photo column.I thought responsive meant that it would scale larger and smaller to fit the column.  Am I wrong and if I am wrong what's the fix?

Hello, I'm having a problem when accessing my website(s) from the server. I used Dreamweaver CC2017 to turn an unordered list into a navigation bar. Everything looks fine when launched locally in Safari and Chrome, but the nav bar shows as an unordered list in Chrome (looks fine in Safari) when accessed from the remote server. I've removed and re-uploaded the files multiple times, but I can't figure out why it's not working.Here are the site links (This is for a class assignment. In CS6 when you use the Flexible Grid, you can choose to see the underlying column structure.  This seems to be missing in the Dreamweaver CC 2017 version.  At least i can't find a way to see the columns underneath the website live view. So is there a way to do this, or maybe an add on that would provide this?And also is there a way to edit the size of a responsive image within Dreamweaver?

I am useing DW CS6, I recently made a minor change to my general template (copywrite date) and when I saved the file I got the update asscoisted files request which I answered OK to and it updated all of the associated files. Fantastic! When I opened one of the associated files all of the template formating, buttons, images, etc. had been trashed like there are improper links to the source material. I checked the paths, availabilty of material and location, etc., and they all look good. Now most of the associated files got trashed and some did not. What is going on and how do I fix without having to redo each page over again?I checked history panel to see if I could walk back the changes but there is nothing in the history panel. There is also nothing in Perferences about setting history states. Why no history?Any help is appreciated.Thank youJohn Munro[email address removed by Mod. [Working on a Mac running OSX Sierra on DW CC17]I'm baffled at why one web page on my site doesn't appear.When I use localhost to browse the page, I get this unstyled page.. . .When I try to open the page online in two browsers, I get this error message, which has an unexpected URL entry.What's unexpected in the URL that came up is the fact that the "W" in "pleasewait" is NOT capitalized, despite the fact that I typed my file with a capital "W" as shown here. . .. . . and despite the fact that the localserver (XAMPP) shows the file with a capital "W", as shown here. . .Nevertheless, when I try to open the page online from an accompanying page, the pathway clearly shows that a lowercased "w" is called for in "pleasewait2.php, as shown here. . .I cannot figure out why a lowercase "w" appears in the URL, when viewing online and on localhost. All my files use an uppercase "W" in that file's title.Am I missing something that might have caused this to happen? I cannot figure this out!I've cl

I would like to add a bar that has multiple options on it. HelloHow do I re-download my old copy of DreamWeaver CS5?BackgroundI have just moved to a new PC (running Windows 10 Pro x64) and I would like to take my old copy of DreamWeaver with me. It's now quite old but it was still extremely useful!  Bizarrely, on my account, although I can still see that I have registered it, there is no mechanism for re-downloading it. I am trying to set up a web page with info about some products I contacted the dealer about some help with information regarding products. They told me they would send me a link to a dealer feed, I have to type in a password to access site. Then I get this txt file with all the information about products links to images ect. How do I get this set up in dreamweaver. I'm not finding anyone who has any idea what I'm talking about.          Thanks

Now that Dreamweaver has support for SASS, I'm trying to use it to manage files for a web application, but a project structure that works perfectly in Scout is seemingly invalid inside of Dreamweaver. I want to believe it's user error, but I can't figure it out.The project was originally built with a flat css file, but I'm trying to update things a bit.Ultimately, I want the compiled CSS files to go into resources/META-INF/styles, but I want to store the SASS files in resources/sass.I've got my source and output folders defined as shown above (I stripped out a lengthy site root for readability).At this point, when I attempt to compile a sass file, I get the following error:Everything looks right according to the settings I've defined:If I dump the contents of my sass directory into the styles directory and then set my source and output folders to be the site's root, it compiles just fine, but I don't want to clutter the styles folder with sass files unnecessarily.Also: If I setup this

Hi,I'm building a new site and I'm making it with Bloc application.You can see here Home  what I made up till now, it's incomplete, I'm just at the beginning and showing to the customer different layouts in the same page to make easier his choices.In order to customize the pre made Blocs code I tried to open the site with Dreamweaver, but Dreamweaver just freezes and stop working immediately.So I bought Coda and installed, with Coda the site is very quick and fast to manage, this page opens immediately and every css or html change appears immediately in the preview window.I've seen in the past that even when building sites from scratch with Dreamweaver the app is slow and heavy for the OS. I'm sorry but I've been very surprised by Coda and I find it amazing.I won't stop my CC subscription but I hope to hear very soon some good news that fix the Dreamweaver heavy slowness.Best regards.FrancescoPS. HiI want to move my dreamweaver html files on to a memory stick so i can show my teacher at college. However when i tried to by doing the .ste method it just showed the whole page as white with no colour and just the text i put onto the page but not in the position i put it on. There are also no pictures just a black outline and a mini picture icon in the top left corner. I am using Dreamweaver cc 2017 on a trial.I was wondering if anyone can help me as i need it done by the next couple of hours as I'm selling my macbook today.Many Thanks Nat

I'm following a recommendation from @AdobeCare to post here re: a problem I'm experiencing using DW CS6.  I've found that when I work on a site with large files (i.e. > 20k lines) DW performance plunges.  Every action (open file, search, switch tabs, etc.) takes at least seconds to complete.  I tried all of the fixes I could find for the slow performance (resolveremoteurltoip = false, exclude from antivirus scan, disable code hints, delete wincache).  None solved the problem.  When I work on any site with smaller files, DW performs fine.   When I return to the site with the large files, it goes back to taking 10+ seconds for every action.I'm currently using Eclipse to work on the site with the large file.  It very occasionally pauses for  a couple of seconds but really performs just fine. Any suggestions for solving the issue DWCS6 is having with large files are appreciated.

a friend just turned me onto firacode which doesn't really work in dreamweaver since there's no ligature support in code view. which i realize is a new kind of weird thing to ask for, but i also have a couple nice mono fonts like operator and menlo and sf mono and when i tried to use them for code view, dreamweaver just falls back to the default (courier, i think). also none of my regular fonts work either which like, i wouldn't want to use a non-monospaced font for coding, but it's a free gd country and i should have the option, y'know?

Hi,I love to use Dreamweaver, However, Adobe has decided to drop off many features that i like (such as Database support and spry validation tools and so on....),Now i have a very irritating problem, i tried to upload files from local to remote server using dreamweaver ftp tool. all the script files have been minified ( or compressed) after that.initially this is a great idea, till after my file has involved some server or dynamic script (i.e.: PHP or JS),the file will corrupted after uploaded to server due to the minify feature.of coz, you will ask me how do I know is the minify feature issue. becoz i use the same file (without Minify) saved in my local hard disk upload via third party ftp client software, (smart ftp or cyber duck), the file just works fine without any error.anyone here can guide me how do i turn off minify Code via ftp upload in DreamWeaver CC 2017, that will a big help to me.Thank you very much in advance.timhere is  my result.after uploaded to server via dream

Anyone had an issue like this before.I use the php mail function to send information gathered from a form on the clients website to my clients email address but they say they are not getting the emails. If I add my own email address and a couple of test email address to the 'recipients' - comma seperated - the mail gets through to the other email addresses just fine so I know the host mail server is dishing out the information.If I sent email to the client via an email client, not a website form, the mail gets through to them just fine. I've asked them to check their spam box but they say there is nothing in that. I've asked if they have any internal server set up which then distributes the mail from the host mail server but have not had a reply about that as yet.Its puzzling me. Any more ideas?My next move is to set up a test email account using the clients details and see if anything comes back to that.Os

Hi all,I'm new to dreamweaver and have only learnt the basics of coding recently and seem to be hitting a brick wall at the moment.Basically, I am creating a holding page for a website that I'm (trying) to create.  I would like the logo (which is 50 x 50px and centred in the page) to fade in for about 2 seconds then slide to the left to allow another image (which is 50 x 415px) to fade in while keeping them centred.It seems I may have been a little over-ambitious given my skillset but now that I've decided on what I want it to do, I feel I would be failing if I didn't learn how to do it!Any help would be much appreciated!!

In Dreamweaver CC 2017 I've had my iMac screen go totally black while working on a website. There was no response with my mouse, there was no way to get the screen back.  I've had to force quit the iMac and re-boot it several times.  Has anyone had this happen?  There doesn't seem to be a common trigger for when this happens.

Apologies, but I'm fairly new to web design. Although I have a specific question, if what I am doing isn't possible (or if nobody has an answer), in the end I'd like to know the best way to create a customizable menu (with the ability to insert images into the menu) in a fluid grid layout. So that is the ultimate goal here. I am using CS6 and my website is in a fluid grid layout. I am building menus with the Ajatix Advanced CSS 5 Dreamweaver Extension add-on because it allows one to insert images into the menu. With the Ajatix menu builder I am able to build the menu exactly how I want it. However, when I insert it into the website, it does not conform to the fluid grid layout CSS. So the menu does not resize and it does not appear that CSS stylesheet created for the Ajatix menu and the CSS stylesheet of the fluid grid layout are communicating with each other, or one is overriding the other. If anyone knows that this Ajatix menu builder is completely and forever incompatible with the
