Dreamweaver

Hello It's been a LONG time since I've used Dreamweaver.  I had a few questions. 1- Does Adobe provide hosting included in the CC subscription and offer domain names? 2- Can a domain be purchased through GoDaddy and then connected to the DW website? (In that case who would be doing the hosting?) 3- I am not a coder. Adobe stopped supporting Muse past Windows 10. So, is Dreamweaver more user friendly since 2011? I'm not looking for a complicated website. So I just want to focus on the design, and add a music player to visitors to stream my music. Would that require coding/scripting or is there built in widgets I can customize?  Thanks in advance for the answers. 

I have the Whole Adobe Suite, updated constantly by you, and my main program for writing newsletters is Dreamweaver (I'm a reporter). At times when I am copying and moving text, the text gets jiggy (graphically distorted),  wasting my time. I have a high-end MSI i7 system with 32 GB of RAM and Windows 11 Pro; when will DW be fully updated so it performs flaslessly with W11Pro? I've been waiting quite some time and am not happy. My deadlines are brick walls and I don't like wasting time. 

Dreamweaver 2021 Hangs on Loading Site Cache after shutdown. Fine yesterday. OSX 12.6.7All was working well. Shutdown iMac, when powered back on, DW now hangs with the "Loading Site Cache" message. If I wait, it continues to use up application memory until it errors out. I have not tried startup by destroying all extensions, etc. I have dozens of Project VII plug-ins and would hate to have to reinstall them all. Any ideas? Nick 

My page contains one index file.My menu leads to many anchors within the page - these work fine.If I want to share a url such as  https://example.com/#namedanchor, the visitor lands at top of index page and not to the anchor point.   Something is preventing anchors from being reached if by a direct link.Hope this is making sense.   Any ideas?   [Moderator changed URL to the industry-wide generic.]

Sometimes I need to run 12 find & replace queries but unfortunately it looks like I am forced to run them one at the time.Can any of you present a solution, so I can run a sequence of find & replace queries automatically?

Hello there. I'm new to this forum so not sure if this has been asked previously or not.I've a low end laptop & after switching to win10 now it even takes a couple of mins to boot up. I've installed Creative cloud as I want to use Dreamweaver but so many things running on background that it makes my device more slow and I'm hardly able to code and watch the tutorials live anymore.I would like to know if there is any possible option to download and only keep Dreamweaver installed and removing the un-necessary stuffs like the Creative cloud desktop and others.? Thank you.

on step 3, i dont see the AAMUpdater file and OOBE says it cant be deleted. I'm also not sure what it means by make sure creative cloud isn't under programs and features list in step 4

Hello:I attempted to convert my JPEG thumbnails to WEBP thumbnails using Photoshop (on a Mac). It worked well. The image size was smaller for WebP files as expected. See the first screenshot that compares sizes.  Uploading the page with the new WebP files was successful. My concern is this: When I view the WebP files in the Split and Design views of Dreamweaver, I see only a placeholder, not the actual WebP image file. Because this prevents me from seeing how my new WebP images look on a page, I need to learn how to make them visible. The following two screenshots compare how the JPEG and WebP file look (or don't look).   How can I get the WebP files to appear in Dreamweaver windows?

Hello all, Presently I'm working on renewing a static website into a responsive one using Bootstrap and responsive grid lay-out. I've stumbelt on a problen regarding a page with hotspots:. I've been using Dreamweaver for years and never had this problem.I am currently making a website and I have found, for the first time ever, Dreamweaver is not showing the site as it appears on Firefox and Edge (tested here too just because it happens to be installed on the computer).This is making it impossible to actually code my website, because I have no idea what Dreamweaver is doing.I tried to uninstall and reinstall,  but the issue continues.Is there anything else I can try?

I've created some Lottie banner animations in AE (bodymovin) and can bring them into Adobe Dreamweaver. I can see the vector animation just fine. but I can't see the included bitmap .png files.I can see the .png content when I load the .json on the lottie test site, but I can't see it in Dreamweaver.I've tried different combinations of exporting the .png images in the .json file and having them in a separate folder but can't get it working.Any ideas?Thanks-B

I'm using the latest version of Dreamwever on the imac, intel i7 processor, graphics card, AMD. But when I open the program this error appears that is written in the description. "Located resource files not loaded. Please reinstall this application to resolve the issue." Who could help me? do you have a solution?

Sorry to be a bother. I have been using Dreamweaver for about twenty years but I only use it a couple of times a year and have never really gained any confidence in using it. Right now I can't "put files" to my remote server, Go Daddy. When I click on the up arrow i get the standard dialog box – "Do you want to put entire site?" When I click on that I immediately get "File Activity Complete", but the updated html is not uploaded. Can anyone help? I am using Dreamweaver 2021 on a MacBook Pro with Venture 13.4.1Thanks

I have a website with multiple pages. Is it posible to find and replace a section of code that starts with <section class="display-7" and ends with </section> in Dreamweaver? The html inbetween <section class="display-7" and </section> is different on every page. I want to replace it with new html on multiple pages.

Does anyone know how to remove this blue line, I don't know what I did to put it there but now I can't get rid of it.

Before anyone asks, yes, I have permission from the National Weather Service to use this:https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/ I need a part of their website embeded into my website. I could just take a screenshot, but that updates several times a day. Here's the part that I need embedded on mine: I've tried with iframe, and a div, and I can't seem to figure it out. Have developed a glitch, and my attempts to fix it have made it worse. Any suggestions? I built a site in Dreamweaver 2021, on a  2018 iMac running Mojave, just in case this is relevant. The site has been online since about February 2022.Okay, there is a main title image and an image banner at the top of the pages. These are individual .png files. I changed the image banner with the individual page subject name of one of them. I relinked it, it showed up in Dreamweaver, but although I replaced the banner image on the site, the new title didn't swap out for the old one. Even though I had deleted the old one, that was still the image that showed when I opened the page in a browser. Okay, that was phase 1. Annoying, but the page still functioned. So today I tried to fix it by changing the name of the .html page and re-linking it to the menu in the template. It appeared to work. I re-uploaded the correct image file, and uploaded all the pages linked to that template.&nb

My problem that I need help with is that I already have the software (Macromedia Studio 😎 but on disk. My new computer however, does not have a disk reader and when I copied files over using external hard disk to my new computer, I get an error message that says I need to reinstall from the disk. How can I get around this without having to purchase the software program again?

Hi,I'm having an issue with Dreamweaver where when I try to connect my site to an FTP server I get the following error: "An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host. User limit reached or not authorized to make the connection due to local firewall blocking FTP data."I've seen a lot of other people on this forum with the same problem, but no repeatable solutions. Is this just a problem with Dreamweaver now? I am working with Dreamweaver version 21.3, on Windows 11 (Version 22H2, OS Build 22621.1848).

This is incredibly frustrating. Let me run it down for you. If I enter http://localhost:8888/destiny.com/Pages/home.php in any web browser and am running the latest version of MAMP, I get a perfect preview of any of the PHP websites that I have created. Everything works perfectly.    I have setup the Testing server perfectly in Dreamweaver, but nothing works correctly. Sometimes I get a blank preview until I select Design, then Preview. When I go back to live I get a preview without any of the CSS files or graphics. If I preview in a browser I get a weird http://127.0.0.1:55006/preview/app/index.html link instead of the home.php file because Dreamweaver is generating some kind of weird preview file, and again, none of the css or images. Here's a screen capture of the weirdness. I admit that I have not updated this site in about 3 years. I have kept Dreamweaver updated, but now I need to work on the site and it's impossible to see what I'm doing inside Dreamwea

I haven't created websites in Dreamweaver in over 20 years. Back then, we just needed to worry about desktops. And even that was 800x600 with an occassional SVGA card. The coolest thing we did was rollovers. I like this new concept of Mobile-First. But i see no discussion on bitmap resolutions. E.g., do you use 72ppi or 96 for a bit of wiggle room (read: enlarging). If you're starting with mobile first, those images will look all pixelated on the desktop and perhaps even on tablets. So, why are we building low resolution content first? Seems like it would be easier and safer to start with desktop first. Images can always be safely reduced. Or do you use 3 sets of images for bandwidth considerations? I have not looked into Bootstrap yet, btw.Jaydouble

Hi, Every time I try and create a new site inside a folder that has an existing site I get this error message "The root folder you have chosen is inside the folder for site 'xxx'. This may cause some operations, such as synchronization, to work incorrectly. Proceed anyway?" How can I get rid of this problem? Can I proceed anyway? I'm running Dreamweaver 2019 on  MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 Thanks. Mark
