Bootstrap 5.0

Does Dreamweaver have any plans to update to Bootstrap 5.0? The dreamweaver version I use only has up to 4.4 (and 4.6 has been widely available for some time). What is the Adode's policy with respect to updating to5.0 -- or can I update it myself? Thanks! Jim

HTM file not displaying contents - only <h even though all coding is viewable in browser

Help! An HTM file opened fine and showed all my coding/text. Then somehow it only shows <h in the Display view—nothing else (screen shot #1). If I open the file in a browser, you can see that the formatting is running all together but the content is all there (screen shot 2#). I was attempting to try to fix the formatting when all the text disappeared in the Display view. Since all the content is still there (screen shot #2), it makes me think that this is just a display/view problem in Dreamweaver and that I have not lost all the content, but I don't know. I also need help fixing the file since it is supposed to look like screen shot #3. That was my original goal before I couldn't find where all the text went. Thank you for any help!

After years of using DW and Contribute  have had to subscribe to Creative Cloud version of DW as my paid versions will not work. I found after a reinstall from Creative Cloud that my pages are reduced in size on laptop browsers, but still show as normal on iPad and Mobile. Adobe support suggests Self Help with Bootstrap, what ever that is, or this Forum. Any suggestions welcome please, site is www.astonvision.co.uk   [Attachments removed by moderator. Crashing Dreamweaver - Annoying the hell out of me...

Dreamweaver CC21Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.2,2 TB Solid State SATA driveiMac (Retina 5K, 27" Late 2015)3.3 GHz Quad core, 24 GB 1867 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon M395 2 GB This is a problem that I have had for a fair few months and it first appearded on the previous version of DW as well.The app crashes when I close a html page I have been working on. It is very common if I have 4 or 5 pages open at the same time, but this is not exclusive.I have deleated the app an dreinstalled from Creative Cloud. I have Shift+Command+Option and cleared preferences on start up and I have also removed the entire mac preference folder content as well. What else can I try. I think its Adobe not me! Anyone else suffer this? Thanks.

FTP Log will not display

I can not get the FTP log to display.  I do click on Site > Advanced > FTP Log but to no avail.  I tried clicking on the little planet icon at the bottom of my site files, next to the Refresh button.  Mousing over the Log icon gives me the hint "Refresh F5" if I click on it.  I am running Dreamweaver 21.2 on Win 11.  My laptop is up to date on both counts.

I have a file A in Desktop 1 that will upload to Server 2. I also have a copy of file A in Desltop 2. I want to make sure that file A in Desktop 1 will be automatically synced to file A in Desktop 2. How?

Document template will not update Related Files

I just upgraded my CSS to Boostrap 5. Now none of my related files will update in dreamweaver. When I click on update pages nothing happens the update pages box stays on the screen and no files are updated !! None of my carousels will work and I get errors on all pages with menus. Dreamweaver error using CloudBerry Drive mounting S3 bucket

The error is happening with Dreamweaver 21.2, using Cloudberry Drive 3.2.0.2 on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Mount S3 bucket as driveOpen Dreamweaver, navigate to an index.phpStart typing and receive the "Unspecified error" dialogue box.Changes seem to save but are not reflected in the live window. We do not get the same error using Cloudmounter. We would switch but have already invested in CloudBerry Licensing.

I create a html file and edit it on DW with "View Mode->Design." I created an html file with a copy and paste from  https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryit.asp?filename=tryhow_js_collapsible_animate But in the Design view the collapsible does not work. Why? Is is possible to have collapsible in this setting?

I need to put all css on the html page to have it work

Is that how it is supposed to be?I have not done Dreamweaver in a while and I am starting back up. I have remembered just enough to get into trouble. The most serious problem I have is when has to do with my css sheet. It doesn't effect the page unless I put all the information from my css onto my html page. For every page everytime. I don't remember that but I can't remember what I did before. Help!

Import folder, html and photo from old webpage on my desktop (folder w older site) to the new site

Hi. I used to have a webpage on golive. Some years ago I deleted one whole folder in it with underpages. And some other files.It screwed up the page a bit, loosing some files etc. The golive went out of business, and my page I didnt think I could fix it anymore.Then I just recently understood I could downlaod the site to dreamweaver. Not so different. And was very happy! ( I had created a new page in wordpress in between. Though I still link to some pages on the old one.)Now I also found the original webpage in an external harddisk, so I can introduce and fix some of what was lost once.I want to reintroduce the old folder and some other html. and photos laying in a folder on my desktop (with the whole old site) .I tried to follow an instruction video on youtube. But my dreamweaver doesnt seem to accept loading up, though I can choose my desktop on files. the arrows disappear for loading up, when I choose a remote computer and connect to remote.  Can anyone help me with this?H

An interesting article. https://bernardmarr.com/how-much-data-is-there-in-the-world/   IDC (Seagate) predicts that the Global Datasphere will grow from 30 zettabytes in 2018 to 175 zettabytes by 2025.   What's a zettabyte you ask?  A zettabyte is 1,000 exabytes, and one exabyte is 1,000 petabytes. Each petabyte is 1,000 terabytes. A zettabyte is enough storage for 30 billion 4K movies, or 60 billion video games, or 7.5 trillion MP3 songs according to Seagate. If you wanted 3 zettabytes of storage at home, you'd need to hook up 300 million 10TB hard drives.   Incidentally, Amazon recently added petabytes (PB) to their cloudfront tiered pricing schedule. https://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/pricing/

Swapping images or text

Dear All I have a simple question (I think).  I have a page on which I have a number of seprate divs with each div containing the logo of a client I have worked for.  In total there are 15 such divs/logos displayed on the page arrranged in a rectangular 5x3 fashion. In the bottom right of the same page I have an empty div (with an id of "summary" and a separate class of its own in CSS) that I would like to use to display a brief summary of the projects undertaken for each client.  I would like the associated text (be this text or a separate image file of the text - it doesn't matter) to be displayed in the "summary div" when the mouse hovers over the associated div containing the client logo with the summary div empty when no mouse over is present. Each of the divs containing the client logos has its own id and class so it should be a very simple task to be able to do this but at the moment this seems to be beyond my current capabilities.  Any suggest

Sometimes I just need to change a word. I just tried to open html in Text Edit (on Mac) and it seemed to then want to force save to rtfd, whatever that is so flummoxed! Thanks.   [Topic edited by moderator for clarity.]
