I am trying to set up my page buttons at the top of the page in a single line to the right. According to the tutorials I've done everything correctly but I get this: Here is my CSS page: And here is my html page: What the heck am I doing wrong?

Dreamweaver 21 basic navbar How to change the color of the links?
This is back to the issue of the webfonts. I brought them in, I see them in Dreamweaver. When I open my pages in a browser Firefox and Chrome show them just fine. Safari defaults to something like Trebuchet or Tahoma, and some serif font for the body text. It's not even defaulting to Verdana which is what I entered into the font-family rules. I don't think this is something that I'm doing. But it might be something that I'm not doing. The version of Safari on my computer is 14.1.2 which is certainly current enough to be aware that web fonts exist. Is there some extra step that I might be missing, or is this just something that one has to plan around when dealing with Safari?
dreamweaver keeps putting the text i'm writing in /div tags just below the body tag repeated and cropped at random with weird spacing it does it at random points, once after saving, once when I went to highlight other text. here is the html code it's spewing just below the body tag, it pulled it from the div i was working on and repeated it. BUGGGY. I moved back to my 2019 version. <!doctype html> <html lang="zxx"> <head> </head> <body> We ship items through multiple carriers depending on weight address and location (rural, po box, ect) Items are shipped within 24 hours of purchase. I made a website on Spark: https://spark.adobe.com/page/14i0p3alfn3MK/How do I ïmport" it into Dreamweaver?Thnx. 🙂
I'm making progress. Solidly into the; Do it. Now do it over, stage of proceedings, but I' getting more familiar with the program. Before I start saving templates, I have what I *think* may be a minor issue to deal with. I have background images. One is a tiled fill over the body area behind the apparant "page" The other one sits front and center in what I believe would be called the masthead area of the page with the title of that particular collection or the page's purpose. That one is an actual image. I am assuming that it probably ought to be identified? It's linked through the CSS Designer, and it shows up in the selector's list, and I can go to the CSS code and edit it. But being linked through the CSS designer as a background image, it doesn't show up in source code. Only its continer does. I don't know of any reliable way of making it show up in the properties panel to give it an alt or a target description. I was fumbling around with it and it turned
I have tried everything. No matter what I do it always posts behind my logo.
Okay, I don't care how familiar I am with CS6. I'm a rank newbie in CC2021.I'm currently at square 1 of rebuilding an existing website. I've got a base page, that I intend to eventually use as a template. But I'd like to nail a few things down before doing that. Issue #1: I could just go ahead and use the default fonts that Dreamweaver used in the document that I built the page off of (one of the tutorial files), or change everything to Verdana as in the old site. But in the web design class I've been attending over the past semester, we used webfonts. I would rather like to be able to use one of the ones that I'd been using for the headlines and subheads. Just copy/pasting the font import information from the Codepen pages which we built in the class doesn't appear to bring them into Dreamweaver. These are Google fonts, off their website of free fonts. Do I need to "repurchase" them, or what? Issue #2: There will be a handful of external links in the site, and there will be a
There is no QR code or URL in the Preview on Devices panel. What is the alternative?
Back in the days of GoLive (I'm old), there was a way to ask what links came into and out of a particular page (the site --> site options search for links in DW only does the whole site; TMI when I just want to know one page). GoLive even did a graphic, with the page in the center, all the inbound links down the left and outbound on the right. Does DW 2021 have any way to do this?My specific problem right now: I have two copies of nearly the same page, and I want to delete one. I want to know if I will be breaking any links, and what they are so I can remedy it, to help me delete the least problematic copy.
Is there a way to change the scrollbar button color in Dreamweaver CC 21's Dark Mode, from a very dark grey that is almost invisible, to a bright white that is easily visible, even for us old timers who's eyes aren't what they used to be...? Thank you.
Hello, I've had a customer ask me to replicate an effect he saw on Apple's website:https://www.apple.com/airpods-3rd-generation/He would like me to copy the effect to use on his new website. Does anyone know how to do that?
My husband bought me Dreamweaver CS4 back in 2008 for Christmas. I used it as recently as 8/2019 to install Dw CS4 on my new laptop. Now I want to retire my old desktop and install it on the new one. But his Adobe ID doesn't seem to exist. We still have the email used for the Adobe ID that purchased Dw CS4. How can I install it on my new desktop so I can retire the old one. I think creating a new Adobe ID with the same email might not be a good idea. Barb Shaeffer [Emails removed by moderator as per forum guidelines.]
Okay... last year it was perfectly fine for all the "Bootstrap 5 is still in alpha ... just be patient" posts. Now we have a Boostrap that FOUR versions old. FOUR. And if you're starting a new project, you'd have to be braindead to accept v4.4.1 of Bootstrap when there's a replacement that doesn't require jQuery (unless you already require jQuery for some other reason). I've been doing this long enough to know that being pissed off isn't going to increase the speed of Adobe programmers... but it sure does make be feel better to vent. There. Done. Cheers ~ jp
I am having the following problem – my document window snaps to the top when I make changes in CSS designer. It also happens sometimes when I use the scrubber bar. This is a big time waster when there is a lot of content in the window. How can this be avoided? Thanks, KevinPS Please do not ask me what kind of computer and what version of Dreamweaver I am using. That is the kiss of death.
Safari and a Microsoft browser both play my MP$ videos. However, I am finding that neither Firefox nor Chrome (Mac versions) can play the video part of Videos —although both can play the audio component. This is the source: https://taumel.shelbourne-america.net/pages/videos.html I believe that I may need to containerize the MP4 videos in some way but I have not yet discovered exactly how to do it. I would be grateful for any help that anyone can offer for getting these Videos to play in both Chrome and in Firefox.
First time building a website on this new machine and I'm having a hell of a time with getting the brower to recognise any changes I make in linked css/js files..............old machine was never this bad, the browser virtually never cached the files. This makes it virtually impossible to develop/build anything without having to repeatedely change the name of the file constantly after each change..............how are others managing this, its pure frustration? I've never experienced this high degree of constant caching by a browser. I've altered the settings in Chrome to clear 'All Time' but that dosent seem to make a lot of difference. Cheers Os.
My local files will not display in the files panel in Dreamweaver. The files are on the hard drive and have not moved from where they always have been. Manage Sites is pointing to the correct file location. Thank you.
In Dreamweaver CS6 it was possible to create an anchor for a link on an image. Not use the whole image as a link, you defined a *part* of the image as an anchor for a link. There was a selection tool somewhere and you drew the place you wanted to anchor the link on the placed image and created the link to it. it was called an "area shape".It was very useful, and I can't see any obvious reason why it might have been removed. But I'm nearly to the end of the Dreamweaver Classroom in a Book for DW2021 and haven't yet come across anything mentioning it. I'm gearing up for a rebuild of the site, since CS6 is not going to be usable once I end up needing to replace my computer. There is a whole series of pages in my CS6 site which use this feature, and DW2021 is able to open those pages. I *may* be able to copy/paste the more elaborate of these button panels into the new build and and just create new links. However, I also use these area shape links on the index page and would
Hello everyone!I had not used Dreamweaver in over a decade and things have changed a bit, relearning the app.I am working with xml files, copying from three different sources onto a master xml file, as well as text from a PDF file. When I paste the new entries into their respective/appropriate locations, it doesn't indend automatically. I have tried to close the application and open again and see if it indents the structure properly while opening the file, but no luck.I'm not quite sure if it's because these are xmls files and there's no reference schema for the underlying structure (the client's choice).Searched around here, but didn't find anything remotelly similar.Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks,H.
Apparently Dreamweaver does not support alternative video formats??
HiI have recently published a website using Dreamweaver. When clicking on the web pages in a browser, the pages are displayed in type for a couple of seconds (long enough to be noticeable) and then display in CSS, as they should. I have tried several different devices and browsers and the same happens with each one. I am not sure what I have done wrong and how to correct it. Any ideas?Jackie
Hi,When you click a keyword such as </font> the whole thing highlights. How do you then cut or copy the highllighted text. The option is greyed out as unavailable when right clicking. It would be oh so usefull to be able to copy the highlighted text, rather than having to carefully click and swipe to highlight it.Og course double clicking the keyword such as </font> selects the word only (font) and this can be cut or copied, not very usefull, if cut it would leave </> Is there some way to copy or cut the whole keyword without having to click and swipe.eg </font> I realise that you can click before or after the keyword and use the cursor keys to mark the text.I personally don't see the point of being able to select the ketword with a simple click if you can't do anything with it! Thanks for reading, any help would be appreciated.Peter, Leeds, UK
