Currently,When creating Mogrts, you can't drag and drop properties from the Properties panel directly to the Essential Grphics Panel.so you still have to find the properties and drag and drop for expanded bunch of menus from the timeline.If we can drag and drop properties from Properties panel to Essential Grphics Panel, it will be quite convenient.

When I draw any shape on the after effects, for example, there are a lot of points in the mouth, so I want to adjust some points. how to snap between two points on after effects?when I make any shape on the blender I snap between two points.I upload some ScreenShots. 

Assuming I've not missed something that's already possible, it appears that there is no way to lock comp markers via scripting. The only apparent way to do this inside After Effects is by right-clicking a comp marker and selecting 'Lock markers'. Layer markers can be (un/)locked via scripting by invoking the relevant menu command ID, but it would be helpful to also have a method available for comp markers. Alternatively, it would be helpful if invoking the command ID (2565) could toggle locking comp markers when no layers are selected.

Hello, it has come to my attention that an upgrade is necessary. There is a considerable amount of commentary surrounding the conversion of precompositions to un-precompositions. I have observed multiple tutorials addressing this specific issue. Unfortunately, several solutions rely on third-party tools such as "Ae+scripts," which come at an additional cost. It would be highly beneficial if the software itself could be enhanced to include this functionality, eliminating the need for users to purchase supplementary plugins or scripts to address minor bugs.

In Adobe Animate, you can place the time marker on a frame and press F5 and it will insert a frame on your timeline, pushing everything else one frame forward. I'd LOVE to see something like this brought over to After Effects. I often need to shorten or extend something, but adjusting all my keyframes manually is tedious at best. In addition, it would be nice to be able to insert a frame on everything if nothing is selected in your timeline or insert frames only on selected objects in your timeline. Similarly, removing frames would be equally as helpful.

It would be fantastic if you could cut audio and video in after-effects like Premiere and have multiple cuts on the same layer instead of duplicating the clip for every cut. 

Is there any scripting access to the render queue item's comment? I would have assumed it would be something similar to other object's comment access, but this returns undefined.app.project.renderQueue.item(1).comment 

Just showing of Adobes Inconsistency within UI and Workspaces as in this example for four different apps.This is ridiculous that the dev teams cannot communicate and setup properly.

A pet peeve for a long time, but AE is the only program I can recall with this behaviour. When you use the Open Project option it closes the current open one. Please make it so that it only closes the current project after you've actually selected a project to open in the dialog, and not before.  

If I have ten layers with the same effect on it, let's say a gaussian blur. And I want to change a parameter on that effect on all ten layers. It would be awesome if I could simply select all ten layers and then do the setting in the Effect Control. And then all the ten selected layers would be changed.I was hoping that this would be possible with your new Properties panel, but it wasn´t.I know workarounds, but it would be really helpful if it would work without any workarounds. Thanks,Jakob

AE is hopeless and locating missing things with unhelpful warnings that a single file is missing. In resolve for example you can select all the sources, missing or otherwise, and ask the program to search for them in a location. 1) the warning should list the missing files by name or in the case of effects list the comp they're in. 2) it should be much easier to re-link files as per the resolve examples.

so everytime we want to tweak some details / sliders .. extra we have to double click on the comp to open in new window then clicking tens of time just to change something then clicking back to the main comp,and we find some settings not fitting yet, and we back again and again ...( you get the idea ) its a " pain in the a** "so instead ,, why don't after effects Devs do a simple and easy feature like the one already exist in photoshop which is the ((( group Tree system )))you press the Arrow to ( hide / reveal ) and all the layers inside the comp appear underneath , you click on any of them live without opning the comp in new window ,and the effects related to that layer show in the side panel , without changing the comp view .and if some people don't like that , simple add a check box in the settings panel for who ever want to disable it .

Hi! Computing the transform matrices out of the individual components is obv. possible, but it's non-triial.Matrices are useful in plently of cases and it would be a helpful addition.I believe these are already avaibable in the C++ sdk, and it would be convinient to have these via script as well. Thanks!.

Hi there!.We do a lot of text manipulation via scripting and we would love to be able to convert from / to point and paragraph texts.The feature exists in AE, but it's not available in ExtendScript. Thanks!.

I really wish After Effects had blendmode previews like Photoshop. In PS, when you rollover different blendmodes you can see what each will look like without having to click on each one and it saves so much time! In AE it takes 2 clicks along with having to navigate to each blendmode, which can be extremely time consuming when you're trying to find the right look or compare different blendmodes. Thank you,Shayne

I'd like to suggest adding an option to choose if a pre-comp inherits the label colour from the parent comp it was created in. This could live as a checkbox in the pre-compose modal, or if that wants to remain as uncluttered as possible it could be an option in Preferences > Labels. The use case for me is project organisation - I tend to use one label colour for top-level shots, then colour-code pre-comps as needed. It adds a layer of additional management to go through and change the pre-comps so they don't have the same label as the top-level comps.

I have a number of comps that uses a csv to show a leaderboard for RC car racing. I import the data into a csv from data from our scoring software. And that works great. But come time to do any kind of animation it just isn't practical. Solutions I have and can try. Turning off the exprerssions. Do the animations and turn them on when the render is being done and variations of shying and hiding. Another solution is Easy Bake plugin or similar. Use posterize(0) at top of expression.Now all methods help at times and at the same time are just tiresome.Why doesn't Adobe create a AE function that forces AE to evaluate that expression only once in the comp.Or it could even have a time input where you could trigger it.OK so imagine a function calledforceEvaluate(time = inPoint)so we use this function when we want AE to only evaluate the expression that follows/or proceeds it at the inputed time value. To me it seems possible. I mean AE holds the data for a value of a property it just doe

Increment and Save is very useful feature and i use it all the time. one request, when i start my comp as v000 as color or lineup check and when i use increment and save of shot v000, it save as v2. could you change it to save v001? (current)     comp_v000 ---> comp_v2(change to) comp_v000 ---> comp_v001 thanks,t

A toggle button in the Graph Editor to make different channels display normalized 0-100% relative to the Graph Editor view. The time (graph along X) would stay matched per frame, but the value (graph along Y) would normalize top to bottom according to it's individual lowest and highest value. This would allow more than one channel (e.g., Position X and Rotation Y), if values are far off from each other (Pos.X 5000-6000, Rot.Y 0-45º), to display fully in the graph editor as opposed to being two nearly horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the graph. This would greatly help in animating more than on property at the same time, as is common in animation.

Would be great to be able to copy a gradient created in .ai to either a layer gradient blend or grad effect in .ae!

Lately AE, Figma and Lottie are key tools for UI design, but I've noticed that it doesn't natively include Angular Gradient within AE, and it would be just great to have that option to add in stroke or fill.

This should be a basic thing but its not really.When I make an animation I often need to repeat the same distance between different keyframes.I haven't found any smart way of doing this other than making a new solid on top and using that layer as a ruler - cause i can adjust it easy.I wonder if there is a smarter way of doing this? Or if a new tool / Smart snapping or other could be made.I know i can copy keyframes, but in this case i cant use that since its moving a long element to another point (long slide with images). Also there is multible elements i want to messure. Fade in, scroll and fade out. Here is my simple ruler layer.   

As a video editor, I always strive to optimize my workflow and improve my efficiency. I find the user interface and organization of Adobe Premiere Pro to be incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. Therefore, I would love for Adobe After Effects to have a similar workflow and organization as well as UI. This would not only make it easier for me to navigate and use the software but also help me to stop seamlessly switch between the two apps while working on my video projects. I find After Effects a great app for motion graphics, and such. Yet, it fails to handle big files unlike its sibling Premiere Pro.
