Feature Requests

I've always believed the sum of our experiences and knowledge makes us individuals, and each of us has different workflows in our practice.With this Adobe in Lightroom Classic v 12.x; added swap left and right panels across the UI or in the Develop module only.Believing this may have been designed for left-hand users.However, as a righty, I use it with my Wacom tablet, placing the on-screen radial menu on the right-hand side of the screen and having the develop panel on the left. My Wacom tablet is on the right side of my desk, being right-handed.Using this function Adobe allows switching the order of the panels around.For me what would be nice is the swapping of the words and icons around too, left and right justification as well.Then the titles and functions sliders will be aligned to the left and toggle on and off switches/preview icons being switched to the right.Any comments with be great, thank you in advance.

Hello,   is there any form of pressure on Adobe to eventually allow end-to-end encryption of the cloud data? It is in users interest, Adobe -- not so much for Adobe I guess.   Reachig out to the support I've learnt my data is "totally safe", which is an absurd statement.

In the optional Select Catalog screen, add a flag to indicate a catalog is locked. THis could be simply filling in the file icon in red.    

Cropping on lightroom classic (using my laptop and mouse) has always felt clunky to me.  When I crop on my iphone using pinching and moving (just using the default Apple Photos app) it feels much more intuitive and natural to find a good crop.  If there's any way to emulate that experience on a computer that'd be helpful. It would be really nice if Lightroom had a similar feature to the Google Photos App's "Portrait Light," which adds a moveable point source lighting that illuminates the subject (face, body) differently depending on where you place it relative to the subject and its intensity.     This would be really useful for adding creativity to portraits, especially those taken with natural lighting.      Here's a video of Google Photos' "Portrait light" feature in use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8z4E_tBhp4   Thanks

Currently, when either the first or the last image is selected, the image is highlighted and the filmstrip automatically advances to the middle. This adds time om the user end to move the filmstrip back to continue with the workflow. Please add an option to disable this automatic movement of the filmstrip. Thanks.

When I upgraded to macOS Ventura from a much older version, the whole feel of the save dialog boxes changed from horizontal to a more vertical format. This change seems to have carried over to Lightroom Classic (12.4) as well   If I select some files in grid view, then click Command +S to save, I see old, horizontal dialog box, with option to overwrite settings, which obviously I do not want to do. If I dismiss it, then click on up arrow on an image, I get the new vertical style dialog box. I do not want to use the first choice, as again, I want the image to display/keep the changes I made in the ACR window, so I would click Import Settings from Disk.   I wish there was a way to set Lightroom to always import settings, as I can’t remember ever wanting to lose work I did in the raw window, and I am afraid I will accidentally hit Enter, or click the top choice, losing all the work I will have done to potentially hundreds of files. I shoot dance recitals and sports tournaments. It'd be great to be able to que exports (35 sets) like you can for Premiere so that all exports can be started later instead of as soon as I click "OK" and have Lightroom slow down while I'm still working. Then I could prepare all exports just like prepping all "Publish" settings, start my export, and go get some dinner.

Hi,   It has been some time since I haven posted anything here. Mainly because I haven't been using LR a lot since I was disappointed by the updates or ... lack of them. That feeling remains. However, I must admit the most recent features of enhancement, Denoise and Super Resolution are much welcome. Certainly Denoise, as noise reduction used du s..ck compared to third party software.   Soooo, I would suggest to inherit the edits history when applying photo enhancement. This should be easily fasible starting from the raw file and copy pasting the edits.

It would be very useful if the subject face mask only selected skin and not the eyelashes, that way you can apply skin softening without losing sharpness in the eyelashes.  

The arrow in the photo provided is where my mouse arrow was located, but as you can see, the only healing spot I was able to select was the one underneath, highlighted in the diamond shape.   I would love the ability to manipulate which healing spot is selected, even when they are stacked/layered, as in the example pictured here. I imagine this would best be done through a keyboard shortcut.The largest healing tool was used to remove a motorcycle from the image. After that, I added several more healing spots to correct distortions that didn't look quite right. I'd love to go back to the smaller healing spot, located at the bottom of the vertical beige line, to see if I could refresh or manipulate it to connect the vertical line to the horizontal line. As of right now, I'm unaware of a way to do that in Lightroom Classic.I could continue creating more healing spots "on top" of the largest healing spot (in quotations because once I am no longer actively working on th

There are many reasons for wanting to use LR in a language that doesn't match one's location. People who have moved countries might want to use the software in their native language. Others might use a different language than their native one for work. English is not my first language but, since most of the discourse, help-threads, and guides for LR are in English, I still want to use that language for the UI. The problem is that keyboards in my region don't generally feature dedicated keys for symbols like square brackets and forward slash, which are used for shortcuts in the English version of the software. Instead, these symbols are behind a modifier. This makes many useful shortcuts unavailable.   Making the keyboard layout an optional separate choice from the rest of the localisation would be a big QoL improvement for the software.

I want to sort by video duration to find and flag the 1 to 2 second iPhone "live" files that get saved when I fail to notice that the Live feature is turned on when taking photos with my iPhone. 

I would like to start integrating video into my lightroom catalog. often I am importing just the raw files and sorting through the video with the OS.My idea is to sort on import automagicly with lightroom classice onto two diferent drives.  Raw images and raw video.  Seems like something that should be built in but im not finding it.

It should be nice to have a text-tool in the mask-section. Sometimes I need a simple text or keyword in the image itself as a navigation-help. It should be nice if it works on the same way as the brushtool. If I don't need the text anymore I simply remove the mask. Ton

I'd love to have the option to type in a specific Collection Set when I create a new Collection. With a Collection workflow, it's maddening to have to scroll through dozens, or hundreds from the dropdown menu. In the attached video, I point to where the option would be ideal.

Now that we have HDR inside Lightroom, with virtually no user input, the next step is surely a batch facility for a folder full of bracketed images. Please!!!!

Hello   All the new features that Adobe has added to LrC are great! I am looking back at images that I once thought were unusable, I am now able to revive and use them. However, the features in the Enhance Menu seem to all be mutually exclusive; I can use one but not the other if I want to keep the image raw.   It would be great if I could denoise a raw image and then Super Resolution the same image after denoise.I understand that I can export as a full-resolution TIFF after denoise and then use Super Resolution, but now the image is no longer raw. I appreciate that I may not understand how raw images work, and this may not be technically possible, but I thought I would make the suggestion.Have a great day.Rick.

I shoot sports photos... which means TONS of photos to triage.. and many situations which are very similar but repeat over and over. (eg. "facing the end zone, with mountains in background" .. "facing the 50-yard line")   For these repeating situations.. it'd be SUPER USEFUL to be able to apply a preset (particularly with AI) using a keystroke.   If i could set something like Ctl-Shift-1, 2, 3, etc. then I could remember the 3-4 recurring situations and apply them easily as I triage through tons of photos.

Wichtige Anmerkungen dazu! 1. Software, die Bilder anhand der Gesichter erkennt, diese zusortiert und automatisch Alben erstellt. Gerade bei vielen Fotos z.B. Events ein absolutes Kriterium, dass funktionieren sollte. Bestenfalls geht Lightroom alle Bilder durch und vermerkt dann Personen, die erkannt wurden. Hierzu kann der Nutzer die Namen schreiben. Lightroom erstellt daraufhin ein Album und kopiert alle Bilder dieser Person in den Ordner. Vollkommen automatisch. inklusive Duplikatsfunktion 2. Ganz wichtiger Aspekt. Bilder, die Unscharf sind oder deren Rauschen einfach zu hoch ist. Diese Bilder soll Lightroom gemäß Qualitätskonzept direkt aussortieren, sodass wirklich nur die Qualitativ hochwertigen Bilder genutzt werden. With Smart Collection Sets, This is how I would expect to work:Create a Smart Collection Set under Collections Panel,  Now if we create a Collection within the panel and add a bunch of photos to it,Any Smart Collections created within the Smart Collection Set should consider photos within the collection set to apply the rules. The current Workaround is to create a Collection Set, Create an Album with a specific unique name or the same as the collection set. Create a Smart collection with one of the criteria to choose photos only from the above-created collection within the collection set. This will make the workflow even smoother in terms of organizing and managing collections. This will basically help manage a project being worked on as a smart collection set under collections. 

LRC has made selveral significally update the last year, but one basic is still missing: Sorted name of month. This sort order doesn't make sence! April, August, December, February, January, July, June, Marts, May, November, October, September 04, 08, 12, 02, 01, 07, 06, 03, 05, 11,10, 09LRC do know the number order even if i's displays the name og month.Please! Please!
