Hi forum. Is there a way to snap the registration point to the grid or guides? I do have my snapping enabled, but it only applies to the shapes or objects, but how about the registration point? I'm trying to snap it dead on centre to my guides, so I can rotate my shape around the path. Thank you.
Description: When using Photoshop on my desktop Mac, I work in "full screen mode with menu bar" most of the time. I have one monitor so I have an image area and tools/palettes areas that share the space. I use command-0 to see the full image a lot, but I run into a situation that could be better I think: maybe you'll agree. When I hit apple-0 to see the full image, the way it works now is that the image fills the size of the monitor. This is good sometimes, but I'd love a preference for that key command to toggle between "fill the monitor" and "fills the available space not occupied by palettes and tools". I'm constantly typing apple-0, then apple-minus to zoom out just a little to make it smaller and then moving the image with the hand tool via the space bar, to the open, non-palette/tool area. Value: My three steps could be one! 1) Command-0 > 2) Command-minus > 3) Space bar & move to middle ... could be ... 1) Command-0 ... and be done! All
The existing startup screen is independent of the window, it has neither close, minimize, etc. buttons, nor is it connected to the main window afterwards. Windows 11 provides a new way (although it actually started in Windows Phone) to display the splash screen-before the application is loaded, the main icon is displayed in the center area, and the other positions (the title bar area) remain unchanged. I think Photoshop can also be inspired by this and put the loading process in the window. The ConceptMaybe you like more concise, but at least you should keep the Adobe logo and Creative Cloud brand, maybe there are more, but I don’t have enough timeThis is meaningful, it organically combines the loading process with the main program window, which is fluent and easy to understand and elegant in the interaction logic. Adobe should let more programs, preferably all applications of the Adobe family, do so, rather than rejecting other programs for not doing so. More impo
Hello, could you please submit your Windows app to the Microsoft Store? To make it easier to download, and users did not have to think about updates. With the release of Windows 11, it became possible to submit traditional desktop apps (Win32) in the Microsoft Store, not just UWP - https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-store/desktop-apps/.
Is there a way after creating a marquee selection to stroke it to create a border. Obviously in desktop photoshop that option is in the top menu which the iPad version doesn't have.
You use Enter for everything, and sometimes you're bound to double-tap it.How do I prevent it from acknowledgint the existence of this panel?I'm willing to break whatever I have to in the photoshop system files if I have to, I just HATE this functionality with a burning passion and want it to cease. Any way to fix it? **I don't want to know that pressing escape or enter again will 'accept' the value, I want it to never touch this panel for anything ever again.
I create and use templates for work and it's essential that I have the ability to lock smart object positions within the file, but also have the ability to open and edit the smart objects. Does anyone know a way to lock a smart object position but still preserve edibility? it would really help as a lot of people go into the files and the template gets messed up, which is so annoying for slicing. I just dont see how locking the position would stop you from getting in the smart object!
I've long wished for some of the functionality of Adobe Capture to be accesable to Photoshop without having to export an image as a Graphic, and then work on it with Capture on my phone. Wish has been granted! In the Libraries panel, if you click on the Add Content icon, one of the options is "Create from Image". This opens up Capture right inside Photoshop. I'v liked Cature for its pattern making function, but a cool new feature is to make gradients from your image. You can drag the stops around, sop the gradient will be sampled along a path (not an actual Photoshop path, though). I can think of a lot of uses for this.
The default setting for Export-As has to my knowledge always been 100 percent with the option for reducing the quality to save on file size. The new Export-As defaults to a lower quality (Good) requiring me to click an extra step, and always remember to do so, just to not export a degraded version of what I am working on. The default in my option should be Best or full quality with the option to select a reduced quality if needed. I have already had clients point out inconsistancies in my file sizes because I have neglected to change the quality selection. That is for me unacceptable.
The whole export and quality tool looks more like a tool for amateurs than a graphics program for professionals. There used to be a lot of editing possibilities. Now, if I work on multiple workspaces and create separate banners for the web, I have no way of adjusting their quality/size to the client's requirements. I would now have to save each banner as a separate file and optimise it using the good old Export to WEB function. This is not an improvement but a step backwards. Professionals need a tool that will give them full control over the quality and size of the file, not a simplistic kid's tool.I have changed the export mode in the export options to the old one but all quality options related to the GIF have disappeared, can anyone explain to me what is the purpose of this?I guess the idea behind having separate workspaces is to produce multiple formats (example: banners). How can the user now control their quality, given that their weight and quality must normally meet certain cr
It would save a great amount of time for slice users if there was a feature/script that allowed the Layer-Based Slices to be named automatically with the name of the Layer used. Would that be implemented in future versions of Photoshop?
Hello everybody! I've neen working lately in some arrengments for a lawyers buffete. They do a lot work wit foreing people they have made a lot. While I was working with them I always thought the same, why PS didn't have the measurements of the pictures for documents include in her options? Ther is any way they can do it? I think it could be a good improvement for those who work in the legal are. By the way, I'm sorry for my terrible english. Link removed by Moderator
would be nice to have those small arrows next to some text-fields like in indesign or illustrator. thanks and good bye
PROBLEMConsider the following art. The V is centred horizontally but needs to be enlarged. Currently, using the top handle (and shift) to enlarge from the centre-top distorts the image. But if a corner handle is used, the operation unnecessarily becomes two-steps instead of one (enlarge, then re-centre). Like-wise if the option modiefier is held. Because the V is alinged to the bottom, enlarging from the centre will once again require two steps (enlarge, re-position). FEATURE REQUESTTransform handles should honour the constrain modifier because when the user implicitly tells Photoshop to constrain proportions (or un-constrain depending on what you want), handles should honour this user instruction - right? That way, we can perform operations in one step. Illustrator/InDesign already work this way as did Photoshop once upon a time - why create multiple steps? Consistency within apps and across apps is huge so hopefully this no-brainer can get sorted quickly!&nb
An addition to the eyedropper tool's abilities where you click on an area and it shows metadata of the name of the brush that was used, size, and opacity.
Please add the selective color correction to photoshop on the ipad. It's really missing. I also miss some camera raw features and filters to really use photoshop ipad to edit my photos. I always need to use half lightroom, when I want to push the colors in a special direction. Normally I edit my photos completely on photoshop desktop. The next problem is to add lights in photoshop on the ipad. There is no filter for clouds and motion blur to get sunbeams for instance. You also need to save each photo in the ipad photo app to import it in an existing photoshop file. I also have problems to export psds to lightroom mobile. I never find those files in lightroom on the ipad. Please improve the cross-app workflow between those apps. Both programs are not interlocking like they do as desktop version. Maybe it's possible to get some updates and improve the worflow, so you can edit photos while travelling as well. That would be great. Thank you very much.
I am looking for a new application to be developed if it does not exist or to be purchased if such an app exists. The app would allow a caption to be added to a photo in a manner that would allow the photo to be resized such as from a 1-column layout to a 2-column layout – without changing the font size of the caption. Assume the caption is a 4-line caption in the 1-column layout, but that it would automatically resize to a 2-line caption in a 2-column layout. This would be particularly helpful for photographers/venues who want to create the caption and add their copyright protection to the photo. It would also be helpful for publishers who could quickly and easily drag and drop photos from layout to layout without involving an editor’s time to retype the caption. Given the many millions of photographers and publishers, I can’t believe this has not been created already and would expect the app to be required/purchased by publishers and photographers.
Currently, a Pattern Fill adjustment layer allows quick, dynamic application of basic patterns to a layer. However, the Edit > Fill > Pattern... dialog gives access to scripted fills, which are much more flexible, but cannot be edited after fact - they must be replaced. Please add the Fill > Pattern controls to the Pattern Fill adjustment layer, along with the following enhancements:Enable all controls in the Properties panelAllow switching the fill scriptEnable a preview that correctly imposes the pattern's real scale over the image areaAdd randomization to the Brick Fill script Thanks! -Scott
For the image processor script, JPEG quality slide is fine, but would be nice to also have a max file size option like the legacy SAVE FOR WEB function. So many website have a max file size for images, that would make batch compressing so easy. With the slider, the actual file size that is exported is somewhat od a guess, but if I could limit to 200kb for example, that would be a great function to have.
HiWhen you export files in photoshop ( or other Adobe products) it now select the entire file name incl. the extension (.jpg .png etc.). It is really not a good thing when you export allot of files - you have to unselect the name with mouse instead of just writing the file name you need. It's an extra step every time you export. The file extension name should not be highlighted. It use to be that way....
When I use photoshop on windows and change the layers property on the panel, as long as I don't hit enter or click somewhere, the panel stays selected making it impossible for me to press any hotkey. This hinders usability a lot. In other panels, for example in the text properties, when we select an option, the panel is "disabled" and we are able to use the shortcut keys without any problems. Could have a fix for this in an upcoming update!
Hi I think it would be nice if Adobe staff could write a blog or have a page somewhere on their website where they can recommend their favourite laptops or desktops that they use to run Adobe programs on. I know they don't sell the computers themselves but it would be useful for Adobe customers to know what devices are going to perform well while running Adobe programs like Photoshop. I know you can find some articles online but it would be nice to know what Adobe recommends.
Dear friends I suggest to have option to change colors of each guide line. When You use many lines You can tangle in them but have a different colors You can work easyer. It is like a label colors in Premiere Pro & After Effects. And in the end. Thanks for Your Greate pack of software.RegardsHarut
Hi, I've discovered a need to be able to apply seperate layer comps to different document windows. So working with one layer comp in one document window and viewing a different layer comp in another document window. To me this would be so useful for things like frequency seperation retouching, or creating any composite edits. I hope Adobe will consider a feature like this
I was a Photoshop 1.0 beat tester. Have been a professional retoucher/photographer using PShop daily coninuously. Currently full time at a high end commercial studio. I visited the Adobe Feature Request/Bug page, but was directed here. I hope someone at Adobe will actually read my feature request list. 1. Better organization of vector paths. Enable folders for related paths -like layers. At the very least, offer an area select tool, the will hightlight paths in a selected area. Commercial files often require over a 100 paths. Even with names, this can be time consuming to navigate.1B: A deselect path(s) button. This WAS a feature years ago (at my suggestion) but was removed. With many paths in the palette, scrolling to an empy row at the bottom is time is inefficient, as is having to click esc while path tool is selected. Deselect Path(s) button should be available with ANY tool in use (or a dedicated hot key)2. Photographic element csutom clone tool. Other apps have had this for
