I think it would be awesome to be able to link a folder to your files in premiere, for instance, i usually have the same media files in the folder in my pc as I do in my file bin, it would be nice if when I add something like a graphic to my "assets" folder in the project folder on my desktop, and automaticly in Premiere that graphic is already in a linked asset bin in my project, that way i dont have to sort it on my desktop, then go back and impot it into premiere, would be a big time saver!

For some videos where I need to get onto editing them ASAP, instead of having to proxy all the files beforehand, it'd be nice if you could set it to only proxy files which get dragged into the Timeline, so to avoid proxying unused footage.I get fundamentally proxies are meant to be proxied before editing the project, but this could be a good way for slower systems to not need to wait forever to proxy when time isn't available, and could also decrease the use of storage.

Please add ability to edit Caption timecode while inside Premiere Pro.   It's a lot easier to adjust the timestamp code if we can just edit it from there than to drag stuff out on the timeline. I want to be able to edit the in and out times on that. There can be rules installed where you cannot exceed the beginning time of the next timestamp code caption.   edit: ok so I've found out if you drag out the caption it's faster but still it would be cool if you can type it in for supreme accuracy upon replication?

I want to be able to copy and paste caption segments as its the same in the song. sometimes.

I am new to Premiere Pro and am taking the Improve Audio for Polished Results tutorial.This step in the tutorial asks me to locate an audio clip, titled "90bmp_exotica.m4a".  It's the same as the A2 audio track, but that isn't evident at first.  The name of the audio track does not appear on the timeline panel (whereas titles of video clips do appear there).After some searching around, I see the title of this audio clip in the Essential Sound panel.  Please note the screenshot:The title appears in a tiny font, grey colored text, on a black background.  This is a major accessibility problem, and an obscure item to find.  Given this is a basic tutorial, it doesn't leave a good impression. Please consider including the title of the audio track in the Timeline graphic, increasing the color contrast between the background and text color, and increasing the font size (or providing extra UI customizing to do so under Settings -> Appearance).Also, please consid

The UI for auto-transcribing and translating and captioning films in other languages than english is far too cumbersome. It's currently far faster for me to manually to translate and make captions.  I need a small box where i select 1) the language of the audio and 2) the language of the resulting transcription and possibly 3) the language of the resulting caption.THEN as an advanced option below that i can edit the look of the texts and captions.  I want to just press ONE button which makes the (for example) german languaged film having english languaged captions.  Right now it is fairly easy to manually make captions - although it is STILL not possible to change lines in a single caption in the edit>Captions field but only by editing the caption in the monitor and pressing ctrl-enter so i have to change back and forth ALL the time. Sighs.  

How to rise "recent" in Preset section from 3 to 4 (or more - actually best if 7 :-))  

Adobe partnered with Epidemic Sound (ES) to get an plug-in extension for Premier Pro (PP). The extension is found from the menu Window>Extension. The extension improves workflow by allowing the Soundmatch feature of ES to search for music based on where you place the timeline marker in your video segments. Once you find something you like you can download it directly into your project file. The issue is that this features only works with a Commercial or Enterprise subscription of ES, which is much more expensive than the Personal subscription for non-commercial use.  The work around is finding music using the extension and Soundmatch and then going to the ES website logging in and searching for the music your just found using the extension, and downloading it to my hardrive, importing into my project files, and timeline. As soon as a subclip goes into the timeline, its range is completely ignored. It's basially the same as putting the source clip in the timeline. Trim and slip edits can bring back frames outside the subclip's limits. I often need to pull shots from existing edited video. I can use scene detection to make a bunch of subclips, but those are only helpful when making initial edits. Once it's in the timeline it's easy to accidentally trim in neighboring shots. I'd like the subclips to be treated like nothing outside the subclip exists. 

Simple enough but doesn't seem to be available is the ability to see and adjust a layers pivot point. I have a logo I use in the lower right. I built it in PS in the position I want it but in the video I'm editing, I want it to scale up from zero rather than it just being in position when I fade up. I know how to edit the original and position it mid screen, save it as a new file, go back to Premiere and exchange the existing logo for the new one but (as in Ae) it would be faster and simpler to just have the option built in.

Those of us who use lot's of layers in Premiere would appreciate the ability to solo a layer. Be it graphics, animations, mattes or video, when you have A LOT of layers, rather than turning off all the layers you don't want (and then turning them all back on again) why not just add a solo (s) next to the other icons on the video layers. We have it for soloing audio, why not for video?  

Dear Adobe wouldn't it be possible to let Lumetri exactly work like Camera RAW oder Lightroom?What I cannot undestand ist, I can import a video in Photoshop and color grade and color correct it exactly like a RAW Picture in Camera RAW with Highlights, Shadows, Whites, Blacks in so on. But it is so much more define and sensitive than the exact same sliders in Lumetri of Premiere. I get get much better results with Camera RAW than in Lumetri color. But its just not practical to import every video in PS first to grade it and then export it with PS to import it in Premiere. Why dont you just change the alogrithms for Lumetri to the ones in Camera RAW? Its such a bad experience to color correct/grade with Premiere like really, but is soooo fun in PS even with Video. No only the basic corrections work much better I can also use the HSL Tool of Camera RAW for example if I want to chane the colors of leafs on a tree from green to orange its one slide in Camera RAW but it takes for ages in the

Some form of Ai smart search bar in your project window could really help with searching for specific shots or clips in a hurry. Being able to search via shot type, whether the shot contains a person, what colour top they're wearing, whether the shot has trees in it, lens flare etc Don't know how possible it is but it would certainly speed up trying to find a clip in a pinch!  

Please add support to Premiere Pro to open and edit .VRO FilesIt seems bizzare that I can change the .VRO file to .MP4 and play back in most standard video players but Premiere Pro will not recognise this as a valid file to open, even when switched to a .MP4 file. 

Hello !I'd find it really interesting and useful for Premiere pro users to have a way of labelling tracks with colours like you can already do with clips. It would be extremely practical!I've made a mini photo montage to give you an idea of how it would look! Hope Adobe can add this to Premiere in a future update 🙂 

I have a set of materials in the timeline which I plan to edit later, so I put a marker above it and add some notes in its properties like a description and a name, maybe change the color. If the Ripple sequence markers option is on, the marker moves once you ripple delete something before it. But if you move this part with the marker above it via the Track select forward tool or just by selecting all the clips in this part, the marker remains in its place. I would LOVE to have such a useful feature where I can link markers to a specific set of materials in the timeline. Please VOTE!NB: no nesting, no color labeling as advice please.

For some reason, I get a lot of errant double-clicks on the scrollbar at the bottom of the timeline. This causes the timeline to constantly expand to the length of the entire timeline, ruining my zoom level.  I then have to re-scrunch the timeline scrollbar to zoom into the bit I'm editing. My videos tend to be 1.5-2 hours long, so this constant zooming out is frustrating as heck. It's not breaking, it's just incredibly annoying.  It happens at least five times per edit session, and usually at the most annoying moment. I can't find a setting to turn this "feature" off.

According to @mattchristensen in this post, searching in Premiere Pro is now specific to the panel you are searching. This means that searches in the project panel don't include words found in the transcripts or markers of clips. Additionally, it is only possible to search the transcripts or markers of one clip at a time. This is extremely limiting. For example, when editing a documentary, I need to be able to search for specific keywords that appear in the transcripts or markers of all my interviews. Searching one clip at a time would be extremely slow. Please allow the search bar (aka Filter Bin Content function) to search the metadata in the transcripts, markers, keywords, and descriptions across all clips in a project. This has been possible until now.

Dear people at Adobe,Don't you think it's about time to completely rework the ancient video effects filters? I mean they're like right out of 1992! Nobody uses crap like wipe or push anymore. The COMPLETELY FREE APP "CAPCUT" completely kicks your ass in that regard. They have a plethora of filters, transisions and overlays that are acually useful. Install their app (it's free after all) and browse their impressive list of awesome filters etc. for inspiration. We pay a hefty monthly fee for crap transitions many of which my Vivanco video mixer was able to do back in the 80ies. Don't you think it's about time to update this section of the otherwise great premiere pro app?

Hello,Right now we need to connect our movie computer every 90 days to the internet to activate the subscription again. Would it be possible to introduce other options so that this can also be done offline? I would like this better for security reasons, like when we are working for example with footage from clients. Thanks and best greetings,J. E. 

It would be great to have the ability to lock Markers on the timeline and the option to allow markers to move forward/backward with the Track Selection Forward/backward Tool.

I'd like it if I could rate stretch a clip AND have it push the next clip forward in the timeline, maybe with command or option?
